They have been helpful to our pets; we elected for the new puppy package and got education on basic life events for our dog. Like, potty training tips and tricks. In addition, when our puppy did not feel well we were able to call in and talk to a Triage Vet/Nurse.
I was referred here by my vet to have an ultrasound done for my dog. I was very impressed with the kindness and compassion my dog and I were shown. They were very informative, caring, helpful and took their time to explain all my options. I didn't feel rushed or pressured and the prices were very reasonable! I would highly recommend this animal hospital to everyone!
Went here with my greag dane for a prophylactic echocardiogram. We saw Dr Ryder who was OUTSTANDING, going through several views and discussing the normalcy of the results. Was very relatable, referencing his past experiences with a story while he was in college. Overall the medical team deserves 5+ stars. However the receptionist who checked me in was rather rude acting, as if she had better things to do when I asked if she would like my dogs vaccine history and chest xrays to give to the medical team in case they wanted to review it before seeing my dog. She said no you give that to the nurse in the room, as if I was asking her to do a huge daunting task. So I assumed she had a lot on her plate and sat down and continued to watch her get on her cellphone and not even answer the hosptials phones when ringing lol okaaaaaay then. She alone deserves no more than 2 stars. If not for the receptionist who checked me out after the appointment who was very kind and polite, and the amazing medical team I would have only left 3 stars for my overall experience because of how horrible it started at check in.
And I get we all have off days or that the hosptial has protocol and standard procedures of how it runs and she may have been very well correct with what she told me- but it's not what you say, it's how you say it.
Overall I will still continue to recommend people and clients here (I too work in a veterinary hosptial) as a great 2nd option when they can't afford Blue Pearl but still need further diagnostics and need a reputable and knowledgeable place to take their pet.
Very Good Vet Doctors and Vet Nurses. Everyone is so Sweet. Experienced & Caring people. Heard nothing but good things about this place so we started using them about a year ago. So glad we did. They explain everything to you and they take care of your animal as if it were their own. Also, they ask you what you can afford before starting treatment if your pet is in need of care.
*Previous to August 3rd, 2020: they were taking care of our sweet baby girl, Lola a 14yr old chihuahua. They were so good to her. Poor baby had a heart murmur- grade 4 out of 6, an enlarged heart and intestines, seizures and in the beginning stages of congestive heart failure. Her heart and aorta had grown even bigger since they saw her in January 2020. The nurse said it was the biggest heart and aorta she/they had ever seen in any dog.
Fast Forward to August 3rd. we had to euthanize her. The Doctor brought us into the room and with sincere care explained what would happen as he gave her the 2 shots.. we loved on her, as we cried, and in our time we told him to go ahead. He explained again what the 1st shot was- to make her drowsy .. then the 2nd shot- to put her to sleep.. she went deaf last year and though we still talked to her we also made up little sign language she understood. we hurt knowing she couldn't hear us telling her how much we Loved her.. ! She went to sleep calmly as The Doctor was petting her too. Dr Ryder stayed with us until we were ready to leave the room.. it was the hardest thing EVER!
THANK YOU DR. RYDER, THE NURSES AND THE HOSPITAL AND STAFF FOR EVERYTHING YOU DO. I don't think we could have went through this without the help of someone so caring.
Please, go to this Vet Hospital for any and all your pets needs. They aren't expensive! But more importantly They Care!!! RIP LOLA. WE MISS YOU SO MUCH. YOU WERE THE BEST LITTLE GIRL EVER. We are having her cremated through the Vet too.
They take very good care of my babies. Friendly and professional. I feel very confident in their staff and knowing that my rabbits are getting the best care possible. Top notch organization. Definitely recommend them to anyone!
I was very please with the knowledge of Dr Nye. My dog is having a ruff time and I had been doing to another vet. Dr. nye was very sweet and gentle with my dog. She was able to figure at some of the issues going on with him and when I go back in April, she will run more tests. Very nice clean and updated vets office. I enjoyed watching the dogs play in the playroom. I also got a tour of the boarding area and was very please of how clean it was. I like the lodging hours where you can pick up Sunday afternoon if need be.
Unfortunately, we had to put our oldest dog to sleep in January. We went to Blue Springs Animal Hospital, and it was the best experience, given the situation. The staff is super friendly, and the Veterinarians are very knowledgeable and compassionate. We are using their services for all of our animals from here on. They even sent us a card that the staff signed, and it also had Sadie's paw prints in it. Definitely a great group of people.
Wow! That was my first impression of Blue Springs Animal Hospital. The staff greeted us the minute we walked in the door with smiles and concern. They truly understand how very important our pets are to us.
Dr. Rodier was so thorough with his exam and took the time to explain exactly what treatment was needed for our little Dewey.
We will also be utilizing their boarding and playtime for Dewey in the future, as I had the opportunity to observe the playtime they offer for pets. You could tell that all of those dogs loved being there and they are constantly looked after and played with by the staff attendant in the room, who, by the way, has the perfect job and you could tell she really loved interacting with these pets.
No matter what your need may be for your pet(s) I highly recommend you take them to the caring staff and doctors at Blue Springs Animal Hospital and Pet Resort.
My husband found the Blue Springs Animal Hospital online and the reviews were awesome. We decided to give them a try because we needed a new vet. The staff was all very nice and knowledgeable. They listened to my concerns and answered my questions when my dog needed surgery. I felt much better when I dropped her off for the procedure. They even called me after her surgery was completed to let me know how things went and how she was doing. The price of her surgery and the medicine she needed afterwards was very reasonable. We will definitely be using this vet in the future and highly recommend them.
Well I have had Dallas since he was 8 weeks old and he has always gone to Blue Springs Animal Clinic. From the time you walk in all you see is smiling faces and a warm greeting. Dallas is just over 8 years old now and I would never take him anywhere else and I live about 48 miles away from the clinic. When I walk into the door all I hear is," Hi Dallas" and it always make me feel really good! He's a Long Hair Belgium Germany Shepherd, Black and Redness tint, my Service Dog and Best Friend. My wife and I take a lot of trips during the year and I always feel confidence take he is receiving the Best Care and Treatment available. He has two hours daily for play time, one hour in the morning time and one hour in the afternoon not including being taken outside for a walk. If the Veterinarians feel that they need to contact me about anything they will contact me no matter where I maybe. The facility is always clean and never has a smell. They even give Dallas a Report Card which I think is really unique and cute. It tell us all his new friends names he made, games they played like King of the Hill, tug of wars and so on. If it wasn't for Blue Springs Animal Clinic my wife and I would never travel to some of the places we have been. I could not and would not leave him anywhere I did not believe he was not given the same Love, Care and Attention that he receive from us.
I’ve been to this office twice and both times I’ve been so pleased with the level of service I’ve received. Before my second visit I did compare prices before I had my dog neutered and I tried to go the more affordable route a neighbor had recommended. After arriving at the other facility I immediately left, with my dog, and called Blue Springs Animal Hospital and took him there instead. I think at times you pay for what you get and when it comes to my pet I was happy to pay more knowing he was in good hands. Would definitely recommend!
This is such a wonderful place to take your fur babies to. My regular vet was out of town and I needed to get my dog in to someone asap. They were able to get me in the same day and treated my baby like their own! The staff is so caring and compassionate. My dog was hospitalized for three days and the vets called everyday with updates. Dr. Demarco, Dr. Bradley and Dr. Moorehead were amazing! I cannot express how grateful I am for them for saving my baby and taking such great care of him! I will definitely be switching vets so they can continue to care for my babies!
The people that work at Blue Springs Animal Hospital are great, very professional, friendly and knowledgeable. Dr. Bradley is awesome, she cares so much for every animal that comes in and for their owners. From time to time we have seen another vet if Dr. Bradley is off or busy and they all are top notch. The front desk staff is wonderful as well, friendly and very helpful. I couldn't imagine going anywhere else with our 2 cats.
Great place to take care of your pet, always friendly and able to get my dog in even without an appointment. All the Veterinarians have great knowledge of breeds and are concerned about what is going on. I have gotten follow up calls when my dog was sick just to see how he was doing, I have never had that happen at any other place.
They will be my dog's doctor's for and any further dogs will get the same best treatment from them
This was my first visit to this Vet! They were amazing from my first step in the door.. the ladies at the front desk helped me right away!! I didn't have to wait! My appointment was on time. I didn't have to have my dog in the waiting room for very long at all once I got my new client paper work filled out!! They Made me feel very comfortable! Once back in the room the Dr came in very quick, which was nice compared to the other vet I was seeing. I got more information in my first appointment then I did in 8 months at my old vet! It was fantastic! Thank you so much!!
We've brought both of our pit mixes here for routine care, illnesses, grooming, and boarding. This facility is clean and large enough to keep pets separated from other animals in the waiting room. The staff is amazing. They were very understanding about how skittish our 2nd dog was, since we'd only had him a week, and he was a severely abused rescue. They make all exams quick, easy, and efficient. I've never spent more than 25 minutes there (that includes waiting room and exam room time).
Their boarding facility and director are great. They gave me a detailed tour of the facilities and explained all policies. They were very understanding about our somewhat complicated dinner process for Moose, and they did everything they could to make him comfortable while we were on vacation, especially since he couldn't participate in group play time. While Moose did come back with kennel cough, they waived the exam fee.
Overall, a great place. I love that the boarding facility is attached to the animal hospital. It gives you great peace of mind while you're gone. Probably not the cheapest place you'll find, but it's worth it. Would highly recommend!
We have been taking our 2 cats and dog to Blue Springs Animal Hospital since 2011 and have always received excellent care. Dr. Ryder always takes time to explain in detail what the procedures entail and what is needed to keep our furry family members healthy and comfortable. All the staff are clearly there because they have great compassion for animals and serve for their well-being. I wish my Drs. to be as dedicated as those at Blue Springs Animal Hospital and give me the reassuring follow-up calls! When dealing with compromised health issues in pets especially, trust is important and we trust them to give us the best options.
We boarded 2 puppies and had their annual shots/boosters done here. What a wonderful place they are! The entire staff was friendly, helpful and professional. You couldn't ask for a better all around pet care facility. The building was built/designed with pets and owners in mind. Our dogs came out as happy as when they went in and got great marks on their pet stay report card. Which was surprising considering one of them has trouble minding at home. I will definitely return for all of my boarding needs in the future.
We love the staff at Blue springs animal hospital. We've seen Dr. Bradley and Dr. DeMarco in the past. Recently, we saw Dr. Cook and absolutely loved her. We've never had a problem getting in when we call, some times same day appointments are available. They are always respectful and informative and take the time to answer all of our questions. You can tell they truly care for your animals while enjoying what they do. Not only are the physicians great but the rest of their staff, from the front to vet assistants as well. We won't take our animal care any where else!
Recently our 7 year old English Setter suffered an unseen accident while out on a Quail hunt with my husband. The potential Cruciate injury was beyond repair for our regular Vet, who advised us to seek a second opinion. Wanting the best for our pet, and after spending time doing the necessary research, we feel Dr Joe Rodier at Blue Springs AH was the only Vet in the area we would trust with the necessary surgical repair and subsequent hospitalization and after care of our dog. The staff members we met were terrific. Dr Rodier is such a kind and knowledgeable Vet with a tremendous amount of successful surgeries of the type our dog needed. We have an appointment next Tuesday for our guy to have his surgical repair, and even though we live 50+ minutes away, and will be taking several trips there in the future, there is no place in the region we would go to, or trust with the care of our pet.
I was so pleasantly surprised that the doctor called me concerning the status of my dog's care at the hospital-not a vet tech or a staff member, but the vet himself! He genuinely cares about the patients trusted in his care! There might be less expensive providers, but remember, you get what you pay for and if you want 5 star service and care for your pet's health-Blue Springs Animal Hospital is worth every penny!
I just want to say that this Animal Hospital is amazing! I bought my puppy from Petland and was a little upset about their recommended vets office was in Blue Springs since I live in North KC but when I went there I was in awe! Everyone was so nice and welcoming. We did end up having to make a couple more trips since puppy was sick but the three doctors we had were AMAZING!!! So worth going there to see everyone. They are always happy and positive and you can see the love they have for animals. It even makes me want to work there! ☺️☺️ Definitely 5 stars worth!!!!
The staff are all wonderful. The front desk is prompt and friendly. My dog likes to talk a lot at times, and they never seemed annoyed. When they took us back to the exam room they greeted and talked to my dog. During the exam they loved on him, took the time to tell me what they saw, and listened to my concerns. They also send email, and text reminders (if you prefer) regarding when his medication and next appointment are due.
They are awesome! The staff is so friendly. We have never waited more than 5 minutes in the waiting room. It is super clean. I love that they have doctors who are specialized for dogs and cats and for different types orthopedic. They will work with you to find the best solution for your pet. I never feel pressured to go through with a procedure. We went through several vets before a recommended Blue Springs and now I would never go anywhere else. We drive 45 minutes just to see them because they are worth it and priced very comparable to most vets.
