Great location. My room was modern with hardwood floors and marble panels in the bathroom. I did have a problem when I spilled a drink and used the towel to get it up, it was all black and so disgusting. I couldn't go around without shoes and when I got out of the shower I had towels layed out to walk on from the bathroom to the sink which is at the entrance door. I know it's going to be closing but that's no excuse for the employees to half ass clean the rooms. The management team shouldn't have to babysit the housekeeping but they do need to train them properly and supply them with the correct supplies. I was told that the owners are cheap. As I told her, a broom mop and pine sol is cheap but necessary. She said the place is being torn down so I guess we will see next year

I was pleasantly surprised when we walked in. It's hard wood floors, modern lights, marble bathroom walls. Very nice beach. I spilled drink so I got it up with a towel and water. The towel was black. The headboard broke off the wall when I leaned on it to make the bed. For the price I really can't complain. I just recommend wearing shoes or socks. My floor is clean now I disinfected them and cleaned the bathroom.

This hotel is located on a beautiful stretch of the beach, with smaller crowds and a wider view than other hotels I've stayed at previously. The room, on the other hand, was not phenomenal. The bathroom is astonishingly small for a hotel room on the beach, and the staircases to get to the different levels make it more difficult to justify staying on the ground level. If the view wasn't so spectacular, I don't think this hotel would be equivalent to the Ritz, but the view is worth the inconveniences. Everything else about the room is just stereotypical hotel room flavored.

fairly old motel. very quiet. I guess it's as clean as it can get for being so old.. they lock gates to pool at 10 pm.
if you have a lot of luggage be prepared to carry up and down stairs. especially if you want a room with direct beach access. Ice makers do not work. vending machine is at the other end of motel. good walk for most. a/c works pretty well. cable television. ok for price but a little ways from all of the action.response / report this review -

I love this place! My boyfriend and I going there next week. We've have celebrated his birthday there for the past three now! I don't like sharing a good thing..but I'm excited. It's an older motel but it's clean, quiet and comfortable. Its literally right on the beach. Like your own private island getaway!

Great views from the beach front rooms but kind of pricey for such outdated, under maintained rooms. However, being right on the beach was certainly a plus. Put on your swim suite and you're in the Gulf in less than a minute. There's lots of entertainment within walking distance too. The staff were very nice and accommodating. I forget the guys name at their bar called Beach Bums but he was great. They didn't have the beer I like but the next day he had stocked the cooler with some. Thought that was pretty cool. Be sure to visit with "Panama Tom" down at the chair rental shack on the beach, he's really fun to talk with. All in all, had a great time and may visit again.

Staff at checkin great personalities treated us well..room was a beach front room literally walk out the door take 3 steps and on the beach .clean beds comfy clean bathrooms .has a pool nice little bar with basic bar food but good we definately will stay there againoutside of motel has an old school feel dont let that throw you i promise its worth it !

We love it here. Staff is great and the beach is a few steps from rooms. Rooms maybe a little outdated but that doesn't matter to us as we are only in the room to eat and sleep.

We loved our stay! The room was right on the beach (the balcony view), easy access to the beach.
We had chairs but no table on the balcony and parking in the lot was tight/close- those are my only 2 complaints.
I plan on the city to be our go-to family vacation spot and Chateau Motel our place to stay!response / report this review
