Stayed overnight in order to fly out the next morning. Room was clean and comfortable! Had my pet and had no issues. I liked that the room was non carpeted.
Hotel offers everything you need right near the beach. Would of been 5 stars if it was on the main strip instead of 98. Room is a disability room with window facing out to trees. Carpet is easy to push in with your chair. Elevator was a little slow, but breakfast good.
Best hotel for price! We loved it during spring break! They were so good to us even when we came in late at night. There is a sweet blonde lady that works at desk! Great service over all
Overall it was an okay experience. I liked that I could take my dog to stay with me, and the pool area was nice. The room was a bit dusty, the air conditioner was especially gross. The room wasn't much too look at but it was definitely better than a motel. The complimentary breakfast was a nice touch and I liked that they had hot water for tea all day and night.
The stay had been great. I love the rooms and the location. It is close to the beach. The only things that I did not like was that the WiFi is not that great and the lady that runs the breakfast is annoying. Don't expect to make your own waffle in peace!
Great staff, you can tell they have been in place for a while. If there is something wrong, the hotel manager will try his best to accommodate you. Great location. Close to beach and other things. Very nice relaxing hotel to stay at.
After a long day in 101 degree heat at the water park with my elderly father and five year old son, relaxing in a nice clean room sounded awesome! When I arrived first I notice the tub has hair and black stuff all in the bottom of it. Then the floors obviously hadn't been vacuumed. There was dust piled up all on the night stand and tv stand. At $145 a night I expected a clean room!
My family and I enjoyed our stay here. Being a big family it's hard to find a place to fit all of us without breaking our wallets. We got two rooms with 2 queens each for $345. They automatically tried to put our rooms close to each other. One room was watching the road and our parked cars while the other room was watch the pool. We were amazed on how clean and the staff was nice. Plus the breakfast was actually good. And we weren't that far of a drive from the beach. My family isn't easy to please and they said that they wanted to come back to this same hotel whenever we visit Florida again.
My husband and I stayed here on a quick weekend getaway. The hotel was clean and the room was very comfortable. We have two fur babies who were just as welcomed as we were. It's a little ways out from Pier Park although it says Pier Park, but not so that it would be inconvenient.
I booked through Expedia and I'm leaving the same review here as I left there. I chose this hotel because I saw they had 4+ ratings and 80% recommended on Expedia and I am so curious how that is possible after this experience.
At check-in we were told to wait because they're finishing up cleaning our room. About 10 minutes, not bad. We were told they had about 50+ check-outs.
To summarize: we were changed to THREE different rooms because of how dirty each of them were. Hair everywhere. I am almost positive the bed sheets in all 3 rooms were used and just re-made. I say this because of the hair, wrinkles, and new-looking stains on the sheets. In one of the rooms, there was food still left in the microwave AND freezer. Floors were not vacuumed. Very dusty.
We ended up finding a different hotel.
The staff was apologetic and tried to do their best. I was genuinely sorry for them. We were told we'd be given a "good discount" but we did not stay long enough to find out how much, nor did we care. We would not have stayed for free or if someone paid us. Why stay in a dirty room.
The staff explained to us that something was going on with their housekeeping (obviously).
One thing that was even more bothersome was the fact that we saw SO MANY people with their pets. To see the rooms that filthy in a hotel that allowed pets was absolutely disgusting and unacceptable.
Just to add, they have a sign "100% smoke free". Yet, their employers reek of cigarettes. We almost suffocated in the elevator.
Please find somewhere else.
I paid $144.49 for this room and we were able to find a better room closer to the beach for less than $10 more.
The rooms were very well kept, staff was very nice, and it was comfortable. Only complaint is it is a bit difficult not to miss the entrance
The hotel was just okay. The room was sort of clean but there was still dust on the towel racks and the carpet has dust balls in the corners. The "gym" and I use strong quotations when I say "gym" was horrible. It smelled so bad, the equipment is out dated and was filthy. 4 pieces of equipment and none of them were worth using. Now, let's get to the "breakfast", smh! We were there for 5 days and they served the same breakfast EVERYDAY! You can only eat so much processed eggs, sausage and waffles. They need to switch up the breakfast menu. When I asked the lady that worked the dining area if they would have something different she told me she's been there for 7 years and they have served the same breakfast for the past 3 years. The 1 good thing I can say about this hotel is that it is close to the beach without the beach price but I will not be staying here again.
La Quinta's are always a hit or miss with me. I'm usually Marriott loyal. However this hotel was on par with some of the nicest Renaissance banners I've stayed at. Reasonably priced plus breakfast was included
