Our winter home for 3 months for the past 5 year s it's wonderful to be welcomed back by friends doing the same thing as we are.
The name says it all. It is rustic, and a bit tired. Great folks around the campfire though.
Large level sites. Staff very nice. I have stayed here before. We stayed as passport america members with a travel trailer. I would stay here again. We drove to the beach 3 minutes from here.
Love this place. Walking distant to beach, restaurants and stores. Friendly atmosphere. Would stay again but now live in Port St Joe, so will visit for calzones and music.
This Camp Ground is the Perfect place to set up for temporary or long-term stay. Wonderful staff very floor close to beautiful sandy beaches and Entertainment on Tuesday and Saturday Nights that your don't wanna miss in their parvillion located by th the store and Pool Bar. Love the Atomspere and Warm& Freindly people at this location.
this place is a dive with a huge drug problem. Look up the owners name and notice that the 5 star reviews are from family members then look and see all their drug offenses for the family. They rip off customers and never return deposits. The food is made in a microwave only thing good about this place is the music they have at times. Stay clear!!!
We LOVE Rustic Sands! Everyone is so nice and down to earth. The campground is well maintained but every bit rustic as the name implies. The tiki bar is open every Tuesday, Friday and Saturday for live music and mirth. Steve and Christina are awesome people and their staff carry that same sentiment. Stay here and you will understand why we love it so much.
Got here and no one in the office. Usually didn't find them there. They did have the reservations information in a display case next to the office entrance so setup was self explanatory. The park seems to be usually near to capacity though. On site entertainment is a plus and all seem to be courteous.
I really felt compelled to post about our experience because I had read so many reviews that were negative and went in feeling pretty apprehensive about this campground. We had a great experience at Rustic Sands! The campground itself is a pretty stereotypical one as far as crowded, but quiet, people are respectful and friendly. There is a pool, small playground, communal campfire area, and they have live music on weekends, which was such an awesome touch and the kids enjoyed thoroughly. There is a tiki bar by the pool where they sell beer and wine, and they sell some food, but we didn't order there. The shower facilities were pretty decent (although one stall was out of order and there was a wait) and they have a fishing pond (we didn't fish though). The beach is a super easy drive (5 minutes tops) and there were a couple of awesome restaurants (Toucans, Killer Seafood) down the road. We even stumbled upon a karaoke bar a couple minutes away and had a blast there. The beaches are clean and not too busy, and there is a lot of parking by Toucans, as well as a legit playground in the sand right in front of it. We were able to leave all of our stuff in the sand and walk up to Toucans and get food and drinks because we could see our stuff clearly from where we were sitting, which was so nice not to haul stuff. I just wanted to let anyone know who is reading these reviews that I was nervous about this place but it was so fun and relaxing.
We really enjoyed or two night stay here. It's easy half mile walk to the beach. They had live music Friday and Saturday nights. They also have the BEST calzone I've ever had. Wood fired oven. They have a fire ring. Horse shoes. Laundry room. Will definitely be back.
This is a very nice campground. Only giving 4 stars because the laundry facilities worked horribly and one of two showers was out of order. Also the office seemed to be closed early a couple times we tried to go to it. The people there were friendly and nice including the office and maintenance staff.
Wonderful place to stay! Swimming pool, bar, fishing pond. Awesome staff willing to help you with anything you need. Practical walking distance from the beach and driving access to anywhere without dealing with traffic.
Nice RV park. Pool was great. The staff is amazing and super friendly!! Sites are very specious and great for big rigs!! Facilities are a bit run down but we would stay here again!!!
Have stayed at this campground a couple of times and really enjoy the area. Most sites are shaded and spacious. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Some of the facilities need upgraded but overall, very relaxing place to camp. It is located one mile from the beach in a golf cart friendly community. We will continue to use this campground frequently.
