We have been to Chicago many times for pleasure, this time we were coming for a family funeral. The hotel was near the church and we were very happy with the accommodations. Parking garage is adjacent to the hotel. Rooms are large and updated. Staff was all very pleasant.

We enjoy staying at the Best Western Plus Hawthorne Terrace in Chicago. The staff is friendly and helpful and the rooms are clean and a great value. The suites are roomy and comfortable. We have stayed there twice and both visits were excellent. I highly recommend this hotel. KP

Description sounds much nicer than the actual hotel. Suites are in a separate building so you have to walk outside to get to the main building. Non smoking room smelled like smoke. Shower was fantastic and hot, but the shower room was very cold. Lobby very small. Suite was very nice with kitchenette and modern sink area. Room was very cold in some places, but fine in others. Nice, friendly staff.

We had a very nice king room with Jacuzzi. Well maintained & clean. Staff was professional and helpful. The free breakfast is great with awesome cinnamon rolls & coffee.

The front-desk staff was too busy with itself to make the customers feel welcomed. The hotel needs to focus of maintenance and assuring that every room has everything working properly. Very disappointed in our stay.

Really nice spot. Friendly staff. Nice fitness center. Exterior of the building is pretty.

We liked the stay, but i'd suggest they get new beds. Very uncomfortable.

This hotel is very clean and comfortable. Lovely, diverse residential neighborhood. We walked to local restaurants and to Wrigley field. Quick Lyft rides to Navy Pier and all museums. Enjoyed our stay very much. Hotel was also very quiet, never heard noise from anyone.

Location, location, location! If you're going to a Cubs game and staying in Chicago, this is the place to stay. While it seems a little over-priced for what you are getting, the location makes up for it. It is under a 10 minute walk to Wrigley Field. When we weren't at the Cubs game, we were a 10 minute walk to the water. Spectacular water front and park system. We were also just a 30 minute bus ride into Chicago and the Navy Pier. There are local bike rentals and an excellent bike trail that goes for miles. The room was clean, but nothing exceptional. They have a nice patio out front to eat breakfast or have a morning coffee. The hot breakfast was really good and varied but the area where you get breakfast is small. If you pick a popular time to eat breakfast, you might be disappointed, as the room can only hold 4 people max. Bed was comfortable, the Internet was fast and overall it was a pleasant experience.

Our party of nine stayed in two suites. Rooms were both roomy and fairly clean. Breakfast was great. We went to two Cubs games and were able to walk to both games. Neighborhood seemed very safe. Parking was extra but right next to the hotel and was inside/covered. Staff was friendly. Location was the big draw to stay at this hotel.

Great hotel in a fantastic neighborhood. Able to walk to public transportation or to the lake. The modernized rooms in an historic building with great staff make this the hidden gem if Chicago.

We found this hotel to be a great value. We stayed in a suite that had two King beds, a kitchenette, and a modern and spacious bathroom. It worked perfectly for my husband and I and our daughter. The second King was behind a partial wall, so there was some privacy, and each bed area had its own TV. This is an old hotel, and the decor was a bit worn (for example, the couch), but the beds were very comfortable. For the money, we were very happy with it. We chose this hotel, because our daughter lives in the area, and we wanted to be able to walk to places close by and not have to travel up from the city each day.

If anyone is looking for a great deal on hotels you can check it out on HotelRaven. com Booked a room on there and they had the cheapest rates around

The outdoor appearance is very neat and clean. On the inside, it's dusty but neat. The roads in front of the hotel are beat up and dirty, hence the dust inside! The beds are worn and uncomfortable. The hotel is pet friendly which is a great plus! The staff is awesome and willing to do anything to make the stay a good experience. I would stay there again but hope they upgrade the mattresses. It's definitely NOT a cheap hotel!

The outside of the hotel is very inviting. Close to Wrigley field. However, as of 4/18/17 there is street work going on. The rooms at first appearance are nice and updated but the toilet looked as if it was NEVER cleaned. Also the past guests food was still in the refrigerator. Housekeeping needs to step it up or guests need to be aware they should bring Clorox wipes with them.
