Approachable staff and great design. The room has a more modern design. Many food options around the area is walkable and delicious. The hallways is a little bit darker I'm lighting to give the Aloft theme. Lots of USB charging ports as well as accessible outlets in the room.
I really want to recommend this hotel but
..
They charge me an additional $1900 just because.
I called repeatedly even from abroad and they won't solve my issue.
They won't remove that charge, they are asking me to wait 30 days as it is an international credit card, MasterCard is saying that they can't do anything about it and that the hotel needs to cancel the extra charge.
Meanwhile I can't use my CC because all my credit is used on these double charges from the hotel
Besides this really frustrating situation, the hotel is fantastic the rooms are always top notch and the stuff has always an smile on their face, however lack of knowledge to solve my issue generates this review.
Also if you check on other social media channels I am not the only one.
The staff here is amazingly wonderful. I needed a fork and the guy gets me silverware. I had a package sent here, and he finds it. I have questions about the restaurant, and they know the answers. I like the front desk here so much because they are so helpful!
If anyone is looking for a great deal on hotels you can check it out on HotelRaven. com Booked a room on there and they had the best rates around
I selected mobile check-in when I landed at the airport. As usual, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Hotel lobby was clean and had the classic "Aloft" smell. Staff was very helpful and let me know this Aloft may be a bit louder than typical due to the restaurant attached on the lobby level. Room was one of the smaller Aloft rooms I have stayed in. Great for one or a couple, but I could see it getting crowded with more. Clean and no significant signs of wear and tear. It would have been nice to have a light in the shower. Hotel was close to many local restaurants and pubs. I plan on returning to this property for business or leisure.
The hotel was very nice. The room was a little small, but had what you need - comfy bed, decent sized shower, coffee, fridge, closet space, etc. Great, helpful staff. The Beatrix restaurant near the lobby had great food and a delicious coffee bar as well. The only drawback was parking, which was hard to find when you're just visiting, so you end up using valet, which can be expensive.
Great rooms, great service. Beatrix which is attached to the hotel is also delicious. The street facing rooms can be a little loud at night on the lower levels but that's true for any hotel in the middle of the city.

Arrived late night and I noticed this place was very lively and busy even at 11pm. Many young people were in the lobby. Noticed many group of people were visiting with their friends. Compare to the noise from the lobby room was quiet and clean modern and very comfortable and affordable. Wifi was included. We had 17pound of dog with us and there was no extra charge for dog stay versus many other hotel ask for $50-$120 for dog stay per night on top of room fee. It saved a lot of money. Location was close to many cool restaurants and also from river. Good.
The rooms were very nice and clean. A wonderful experience checking in with an informative and delightful front desk. The hotel is located in the heart of everything. They have an attached restaurant and bar that looked very nice. Would be more than happy to come back for another visit!
I absolutely adored my experience at Aloft Chicago City Center! At check in, Lily was incredibly kind and wished my best friend and I a happy 30th birthday since we were on vacation to celebrate them. We even came back to our room later that night to cookies and wine with a beautiful birthday card! Throughout our trip, everyone at the front desk offered warm welcomes and friendly "have a great days" as we came in and out. We were given instructions on how to get around Chicago, and welcomed to the bar for an Easter Sunday brunch (avoiding the long line at the door!) by the kindest and funniest bartenders on earth. After this experience, I wouldn't stay anywhere else. I'll be on the hunt for Aloft in every city I go to.
The hotel was very clean and had nice aesthetics. The restaurant downstairs had really good food as well. Only issue was room service took about 2 hours just for a few smoothies.
Though the restaurant was loud, customer service at the front desk was comfortable. I had a simple request for a room more in the corner and she was able to obliged and gave me the perfect angle. It was the pretty asian girl, I don't remember her name. I could only imagine if I didn't put in my request, because I overheard some guy drunkenly swearing at 5AM because he lost his way to his room in the hotel. The doors to the hallway/walls are thin. I could only imagine the rooms more near the elevator. Thanks for the memorable service, and the corner room as requested! In a city like Chicago, there are plenty of hotels to choose from, but I certainly recommend this one for its quirky modern rooms with windows showing the city at a good price. Along with the good customer service. 10/10
I loved the location of this hotel. Its right near so many delicious restaurants and good shops. The place itself is so cool and funky. Its got a really great vibe. The rooms are comfortable, updated and have Bliss products which is a great touch.
The River North location can't be beat and the customer service there is always amazing. Thor, who worked in the front, taught me how to use Uber and even waited with me until the driver came. Oscar at the front desk gave me a really nice room on the top floor and actually came around the counter to hand me my keys and get me set up. The restaurant, Beatrix, is also super amazing and they make their own bacon in house. Highly recommend for the food, the service and the accommodations. One of my top 3 favorite places to stay in Chicago!
