  Everything looks new and amenities work well. Gym is large for a hotel. Coffee and juice always available at lobby. Dinosaur BBQ is right next door, which is great. Excellent value for the price.

  I chose to block off rooms at the Best Western for my wedding guests and I'm SO glad I did! Most of my guests were traveling from out of town and stayed at the hotel, and many of them came to us to say how impressed they were with the hotel - the rooms, the staff, and the breakfast. My husband and myself included! When we checked in, the woman at the front desk was nice enough to upgrade us to a deluxe room free of charge! We are so happy with our choice to go with the Best Western!

  Very nice hotel. Great attentive staff. Very clean and lots of amenities. There was no exhaust fan in bathroom which was unusual. Very comfortable beds. Breakfast offering was quite extensive adjacent to the lobby which was cozy and spacious. Biggest drawback was very limited parking in their lot.

  Great location across the street from wedding venue/Franklin plaza... quick walk!
  We stayed in newly renovated part of hotel... very nice.
  Leslie King was outstanding in helping me choose room(s) and book. Facilitated my early check in request which was awesome after a 4 hr drive that day !
  Front desk staff was also outstanding ... helpful, friendly & courteous .. as was the young man working Sun AM in breakfast room & the housekeeping woman Sun AM.
  Overall very pleasant experience for all 4 in our group. Breakfast offerings were above and beyond the usual "free breakfast" at other chains.
  A bit over/High priced for the region- Troy NY
  BUT worth it for all reasons mentioned above!

  After a long, exhausting journey, it was a pleasure to walk into tho lobby of the BW and be greeted by a warm, welcoming staff. They quickly and efficiently checked us into our room and offered us cookies and a choice of beverages to relax with. The hotel and our room were immaculate and beautifully decorated. My wife could not find a hair dryer in the room and housekeeping helped me get one immediately. Everyone on staff was cheerful and helpful. I would highly recommend The Best Western of Troy New York!!!

  When I arrived there was a man outside the hotel in his pajama bottoms and a greasy T shirt. I'm not sure what he was on, but he wasn't a happy camper. The parking lot was full so I was directed to the parking garage next door but after a drive through I didn't think I had enough insurance on the rental to trust parking midst the winos and the drug deals going down.
  The first night I was there someone tried to open my door multiple times during the night. I assumed it was a drunk the first few times but got up anyway. When I mentioned the disturbance to the hotel clerk he said that they were undergoing renovations and maybe it was one of the contractors who was confused with the room numbers. Really? In the middle of the night? Multiple times? I don't know whether they have a locking key system for the outside doors but surely they have security inside the halls... Wouldn't stay again if you paid me....

  Great hotel in a great location. Walkable to everything. Clean, comfortable room. Coffee and snacks available all day. Free breakfast is a little bit lacking.

  *The appearance an ambiance of the hotel was very pleasant.
  *The king-sized bed and pillows were entirely too soft, hard to get comfortable or get a good night's sleep.
  *The offerings for breakfast were acceptable, sans the coffee, which was not very good.
  * The employees of the hotel were very helpful, very professional.

  Poorly insulated rooms - you'll know everything your neighbor might be doing or watching on TV unless they are super quiet. The hotel is in the historic portion of downtown Troy near lots of great restaurants and the river. Breakfast was very good, but the price we paid for the room ($160) was too high for the quality (and noise level) of the room.

  Stayed in a king accessible room. Very comfortable bed with 4 large pillows. Also a pullout queen size couch bed plus desk, armchair and walk in shower with a higher toilet. Excellent air conditioning. Room also had an iron and ironing board plus extra blankets. I did not have breakfast but others I was with said it was very good.

  Rooms were quite affordable for the accommodations offered. Very clean, well maintained property. Medium sized parking lot, but also a parking ramp within close walking distance to the property. Downtown attractions are a quick walk away. Extremely friendly staff, included Wi-Fi, a small gym, and breakfast served daily is wonderful! Not just your run of the mill eggs and muffins, but a very generous offering. And fantastic water pressure in the showers to boot!

  This place was amazing, period. Staff was very nice, breakfast is delicious, rooms are amazing. The only problem I had was that the room I was in the bed broke but they put us in a huge room after and it was beautiful. Definitely recommend this place.

  It was great! Under remodeling did not infringe on the quality of our stay. The breakfast was great and the staff polite and helpful. Only downside was a early morning machine sound that seemed so loud! I thought it was a vacuum cleaner but Dale said it was the refrigerator. The best pillows! I will be going back.

  The hotel is undergoing a renovation but it definitely didn't affect the quality of the service. The staff are superstars when it comes to taking care of their guests. Everyone from the receptionist to the housekeeping staff when out of their way to accommodate my husband's wheelchair needs. And after it was all done they kept checking to make sure we didn't need anything else. If I have to stay in the area again, it will be at this hotel.

  This hotel was terrific. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. They greeted us by name and worked around our schedule to clean our room. The location is fantastic: easy to get to and lots to do within walking distance. The little amenities, like a cappuccino machine, great breakfast, and cookies in the lobby were a nice touch. I used the laundry room one afternoon and it was clean and uncluttered. We stayed in the big suite because we were traveling with a baby and an additional adult to care for the baby while my husband and I attended a wedding, and there was ample room in th suite for three adults, our baby, and the two tons of gear we brought with us. If we have a reason to travel to Troy again we will definitely stay here again.
