I just loved the size of the room especially for the price.I had a doctor's appointment early this morning and I stayed there last night instead of driving to Dallas this morning. Fireplace had places to eat within walking distance in addition to being not too far from Gaston where the doctor's office was located. The best feature was not having to get into heavy morning traffic. I'll stay there again on my next appointment.

Staff was excellent. Hotel is clean, comfortable and well located. But, it is very worn and needs remodeling. I almost didn't stay because the room was shoddy looking. It turned out to be very comfortable, but I am not sure I would stay again.

The location of Best Western Cityplace can't be beat, especially if you don't want to deal with a valet. It looks dated, but is a nice place to stay. I find I really like that my car is right outside my door. I've stayed here several times, and I'm never bothered by noise from the busy street, nor by patrons of the 24-hour restaurant which shares the parking lot. Fitness room and breakfast area are small, but seem adequate. Disclaimer: I only stay on weekdays, so it's possible noise level is different on weekends. If you're wavering, you should give it a try!

This is a wonderful hotel to stay at in Dallas. There is absolutely no drama or hassle staying here. I stay here everytime I take a trip to Dallas.

Good stay every time (10x). Always clean. Fair prices. Wifi. Good for an economical stay- but nothing fancy. Staff was helpful. No complaints.

The pictures & positive reviews were definitely misleading. First, it was extremely difficult to locate our room, the "directions" from the person who checked us in were no help whatsoever. Then, no elevator (no mention of that anywhere) making it difficult to take our luggage in. Then, I found hair (& not long hair like off someone's head) in a face towel & in the cups-yes they were wrapped in plastic, but that was just NASTY regardless! Then I got up the next morning to roaches in the bathroom! The couch in our room was FILTHY. This place should have been priced as a motel, NOT a hotel. Definitely not a hotel I will ever stay in again. Best Western should be embarrassed to have their name on such a place.

This is a horrible stay. There are bed bugs on the bed and on the couch. Not only did I see them on both places but I also got bitten several times and i am just miserably scratching now. I am currently sitting at the desk waiting for it to be 6 am so I can safely stay in my car. There are questionable stains on the desk and desk chair as well. I paid nearly 100$ for the night. Completely not worth it. I would recommend paying a little more to get a nicer hotel.

The front desk Latino kid was funny, down to earth, and very knowledgeable & courteous. The hot-tub suite on the other hand, was no where cleaned to the price I paid. The toilet had a brownish, yellow ring, and shower tile floor looked like they were attempting to grow mold for fun in the grout. The hot-tub didn't look very clean either. My wife took the time out of what was supposed to have been a relaxed evening to clean the hot tub with Ajax and Chlorox 2 before she would even think about us getting in there. Basically, I feel she should have been the one getting paid for the room due to the amount of time and energy she had to put into making it acceptable for us to be able to finally have our relaxing night! The room was way out priced for the amount of time taken away due to filthy unacceptable housekeeping!

Always a great stay at this Best Western. Perfect experience all the time! Great rooms, spacious and clean. Wonderful 24 hour restaurant on site, great breakfast. Staff is extra friendly and price is very reasonable. Walking distance from other restaurants and a grocery store and perfect for visiting uptown Dallas. This location has become my go to in Dallas. I would highly recommend!

Clean bed and bathroom. Very friendly staff. Didn't care for the owner/ long term stay resident staying at the end of the hallway sitting on a cooler smoking. Also the walls inside the room need a good washing. Other than that, we were pleasantly surprised with this hotel. Close driving distance to the botanical garden and northpark center. Able to walk safely to uptown restaurants. 15 minute walk to The Rustic. They had delicious American food and cool live music.

Great price and excellent location. It was quite easy to find and also had a very direct route to Baylor hospital. I think the only downside was the slightly cramped parking and people who thought quad cab trucks were compact cars. The room was great. We had a king-size bed with a decent, new, flat screen TV. The picture was excellent, which seems to still be hard to find in a hotel. The desk clerk, when we checked in, at 10:15pm offered us to-go water, an orange, and breakfast bar since we'd be checking out before breakfast was served.

Great location just Northeast of downtown Dallas and less than 2 miles from SMU campus. Busy city neighborhood with plenty of traffic. This is an older hotel and rooms show it, though bathrooms have received an effective update. Parking is close but can be tight as hotel gets full. Breakfast is fine but space is very limited, as is the whole lobby area. Still, the hotel offers a good value for a downtown Dallas location.
