TL;DR - You’re way better off at some chain
Pros:
- Friendly employees
- Bathroom was nice, except the toilet paper was underneath the sink?
Cons:
- Forced Valet service(extra $10 a night)
- Stiff bed
- Literally no real amenities.
- Room was literally, a bed, a STANDARD DEFINITION TV, a bathroom, and a chair. No fridge, no microwave, no coffeemaker, no breakfast(unless you want to order from the overpriced BBQ place next door!) Only two electrical plugs, each hidden behind the bed???
- while the restaurant is nice and the food is good, apparently you can only go in by reservation? Even if the place is entirely empty. We had to carry out, and after we get back to our room I find out they didn’t even give us our fries.
My girlfriend and I came here after I had flown to Texas to see her! It was my birthday gift from her to hang out in Dallas, and we both thought this place seemed really cute and nice!
The forced Valet service was our first warning sign. It lists Valet as an amenity, but they don’t tell you that it’s your only choice. Which for us, we prefer to keep our keys and stuff thanks. The Valet people were at least friendly, all the staff were!
Then we saw the rooms, which in photos look nice- but beware because they only show you a quarter of the room. The rest of the room? Barren except for a single chair in the corner. The television is only standard definition, which we’re in 2017 right? My laptop had a bigger screen than it! Edit: Also forget to mention the room echoed as if we were in a school gym? It was so weird!
We planned to spend the night for four nights, but ended up cancelling after one and going to a 2 Star hotel that had 4x as many amenities and it was amazing unlike this place. And, even with cancelling, going to the other place was cheaper than if we stayed here for those four nights.
This place is ridiculously barren and overpriced. Walking around, I have no doubts this used to be an apartment building but was made into a hotel when they realized they could swindle tourists for more money than their residents.
I feel sorry for the staff here, but congratulate them on doing well and being friendly with our short stay here. Ya’ll’re the only reason this isn’t a 1/5.response / report this review -

Did a Sunday brunch here recently. The did menu has a ton of options. Everything we got was 4/5 stars. Good food, but not wowed overall. Great ambiance inside.

Would give 5 if they'd put a mirror in bedroom near a plug so someone can get ready in room while someone else showers. Otherwise great. Cute rooms, great hair and skin products. Clean.

Anyone staying or passing through Dallas should make a point of staying at the Belmont. There are incredible views of downtown Dallas from romantic cozy seating areas. Great valet service, and helpful staff. Try and catch a "dive in," while there. I would also highly recommend eating next door at Smoke right by the entrance.response / report this review -

Very cool hotel, great view of downtown skyline, located within walking distance of several eateries, convenience store, and a bar on site. The overall vibe was cool and trendy. We’ve stayed twice in the last month or so and each room had an AC that really didn’t get all that cold. Wish they had more outlets and at least a couple usb plugs and faster internet. Aside from those few things, the staff was super friendly and very accommodating! The pool was great and the grounds are very well maintained. I’ll definitely be going back.

Anyone staying or passing through Dallas should make a point of staying at the Belmont. There are incredible views of downtown Dallas from romantic cozy seating areas. Great valet service, and helpful staff. Try and catch a "dive in," while there. I would also highly recommend eating next door at Smoke right by the entrance.

We stopped by the bar for drinks. Great patio with a great view of downtown. It's a hotel bar, so the bar itself is small, but the patio is large and it's rarely crowded. One of the coolest and most unique hotels in Dallas. Get brunch at Smoke, the adjacent restaurant.

My wife and I stayed here for our wedding anniversary. We wanted something different, nice, and fairly-priced. We found the Belmont to be a perfect destination for us. The ambiance of the hotel is definitely retro, mid-century modern--both in architecture and decor. We stayed in the basic room, and found the room to be nice, simple, and very clean. The bathroom was also very clean and nice. There is original tile in the bathrooms, which is nice, as this is a historic building. The landscaping and pool area were fantastic and immaculate with great views of the Dallas skyline. The hotel's restaurant, Smoke, was also a real treat to experience. In addition to all of this, the staff were very accommodating and helpful.
A side note: While it is a luxe place, it was not stuffy or snobby, which is a nice element to have in a place to lay your head.response / report this review -

Pool was fun, wish there was a pool bar and towels out there. Awesome view of the Dallas skyline. While I appreciate the attempt to keep the mid-century elements, the tub and tile in our room was looking rough. The lobby bar can't be beat, great margaritas by our bartender. Smoke next door can't be missed, treat yourself to some meat!

We just completed our second stay at the Belmount Dallas, we had to star there as both were family wedding events. Its a charming old hotel and I'd wish I could recommend it but this one is best to be avoided. We got one of those summer Dallas rainstorms and our door and windows leaked so bad that it soaked our carpets, nobody responded to our requests for a cleanup. However the real problem is the staff, downright unfriendly and the staff at the bar is cocky and rude. There are too many great places to stay in Dallas, forget the Belmont.
Don't trust all the great reviews you see here, the staff there was just awful. I doubt you'd enjoy yourself.response / report this review -

Booked solo third party on short notice and arrived at 03:30AM. Clint (front desk) nevertheless greeted me warmly and clued me in to use the gold tassel on the door handle so housekeeping wouldn't knock in the morning.
Room 21 was small and boxy, showing its age, but was perfectly serviceable: smelled good, all amenities in place. The lobby area downstairs looked luxuriously romantic. I've heard the views are wonderful, but they probably weren't talking about discounted rooms on Expedia. When I checked out, the girl at the desk was patient as I fumbled around for coffee after returning my room keys.
To be clear, the rooms are a solid 3 stars (functional but dated) — but the service from the staff is an outstanding 5+ stars. I hope to return to try the rest of the Belmont experience, since I missed the bar and the pool.response / report this review -

We went to have a few drinks after eating next door at Smoke. The bartender was AWESOME (he makes a perfect Old Fashioned). He told us to check out the view of the city from the pool area (we would never have thought to walk around to that part of the building) but it was BEAUTIFUL. My new favorite spot.

The Belmont used to be a neat spot, but isolated and out of the way. The recent development boom makes it a great place to stay, but also a convenient spot for dinner, drinks, and breakfast. It has a surprisingly good view of the city, and the hotel itself is quite nice. You can also find great coffee across the street, and plenty of great food in the surrounding restaurants.

We came to Dallas on Tuesday, November 15th for work and to find our new home. The Adolphus has been our hotel of choice our past few trips due to its beautiful facilities, very clean and comfortable rooms, and very attentive staff. This trip we had some external challenges pop up and Hannah, Diego, and Chelsea at the front desk jumped right in, solved them, and got us on our way - thank you all! Their creative solutions to our questions are the reason why we will continue to stay at the Adolphus on every trip to Dallas going forward!! The hotel is centrally located and easy access to everything Dallas has to offer and the bell men manning the front door are very knowledgeable and happy to help point you in the right direction. Thank you again to the Adolphus team!!
