Absolutely the best hotel I've started at so far. The room was phenomenal with an awesome blacklight bathroom. And the museum downstairs is available 24 hours! Every corner of the whole place had something interesting to offer. I wish I had more time to explore!

One of the most interesting hotels I've stayed at. Staff were all super helpful, friendly and professional. Room was very nice, shower was great. I just wish the fitness center was larger and had some more equipment.

Art defines this museum hotel, and some of the it is truly wonderful in my eyes. The overall vibe is one of almost exhibitionism, with a creepy flair. Not my cup of tea. But I loved the dry/wet sauna in the basement!! And the bed was perfectly comfortable.

The galleries they had on display this time were about pop culture and I definitely loved it, from striking cinematography to sequin portraits. The museum seemed to capture the theme, as well as having a few permanent exhibits that are always entertaining. One of the best features of the museum is it's price, free!! Would visit again when new exhibits come.

Very fun hotel that edges between boutique and fully luxury. The art gallery is a very enjoyable feature of the hotel and the rooms are also very nice and large. The only downer was that for such a large room that the bathroom had a simple tub shower and the toilet was shoved in a corner super close to the sink. The bed/mattress was very good though and it had a full sized desk area to get work done and a comfortable chair so I'm mostly willing to overlook the "miss" on bathroom design.

Art gallery with rotating exhibits, open 24/7 and free to the public. 21c is a boutique hotel chain, located in the business district of downtown Louisville. In addition to the gallery, 21c is connected to Proof on Main, its world-renowned restaurant and bar.
Guests have access to spa, gym, and meeting and event spaces. I've also seen a number of special events hosted here as well.

Very inappropriate for kids. Don't take your children here! I don't know if the art work changes but the current works are bordering pornographic. I've been surrounded by art my whole life from Jasper Johns to Dali. We had a Dali in our home growing up as well as several Picasso lithographs. Taste is in the eye of the beholder but strategically placing it for shock value is something different. Life-sized statues of naked children with their private parts staring you in the face as you check in our out is what I would call forcing it down my throat. We were traveling with or seven-year old and a dog. They are a dog friendly hotel. If it wasn't for that I would've checked out as we checked in. Besides the art, the bar and restaurant are excellent. Bar has more inappropriate photos of naked men. I sense this is a rainbow friendly place - not that there is anything wrong with that. Just don't flash it in my face. Beds seemed clean but the white towels are discolored and mismatched. One was yellowish and all had lost their soft, plush texture. Lobby waterfall urinal was broken. I did give the hotel a 2 star because they accept dogs and would only recommend it to adults traveling without any children under the age of 21! I could never see myself returning.

    Well worth the money.
The staff are friendly and my room was clean and quiet.

The museum itself has a great collection. I believe it changes over time (?)

The hotel bar is the best bar I've ever been to. Their house cocktails can't be best (you must get Smoke Rings).

I'm in Louisville often and will definitely saving up for future stays.

Such a great concept. The whole vibe and ambience is pretty off the hook. I've stayed here several times and have not been disappointed yet. Room 423 had a partial city view and was quiet. No complaints what so ever!

The museum Hotel was a wonderful experience. The art on the walls, the sculptures on podiums, and the atmosphere generated by the locale was nothing short of spectacular. It seems to be one of the most prestigious and well put-together places to see art and also to relax with a drink before going to your hotel room.

This should be a 5 star hotel!!! We got in late just before 12 and we were still able to use the valet, the guy at the desk was very nice and helpful. We stopped in to the hotel bar and I had an awesome IPA and my fiance had a bourbon flight, would have stayed longer but it closed at 1am..Thr room and lobby was really cool, my fiance said she liked it more than the Ritz Carlton. Definitely worth the money and it is in a great area. Oh and Proof on Main is one hell of a restaurant!! Went there for lunch and had the Chicken with potatoes and blackened salad and something else which isn't always available but if it is you make sure and get it!!!

I stopped in while walking around downtown. My friend said they have the best bathrooms and he wasn't wrong. Now I can't pee anywhere else. If you are nearby, step in and look at the art (and check out the cool bathrooms). I wasn't hassled by anybody and the lobby is always packed with people so you feel comfortable. Nobody ever has to know you're just there to pee.

My sister got married here. It's a really beautiful museum. The wedding was up on the penthouse balcony which is stunningly beautiful. I like the quirky exhibits, the bathrooms are especially interesting. I've never been big on modern art but the stuff here in the museum has stuck with me since that wedding. The art here is pretty neat and I'd like to go again to see what's changed.

I have never stayed as a guest since I used to live in Louisville, but now that I am moved away, I know that this is the place I will stay. I used to go just to visit the Museum and was inspired by so many artists and pieces seen there. I probably went every month just to see the new art. The wall of falling words was fun. It is just great and if you are visiting the city you must go and see the place for yourself to see why it's so amazing.
