Room Was far to small Especially with kitchen, iving room stains on carpet smells like dust,bathroom with no air vent cold was lucky we had a dryer to dry towels for the next day, double bed was 2 singles push together very noisy as we could hear everythink
from the streets
Restaurant windows really needed a good clean, workers looking over us while eating breakfast. The place
NEEDS a good CLEAN dusty smell not just in the rooms it's everywhere.
Service was.great from front desk 👍 BUT Tony's steak house next door. Done it for me Absolutely delicious 💯

Best value we've come across. Our room was spacious & clean; the staff and service provided was excellent; carparking in the middle of central city roadworks, a bonus. And a full tasty breakfast. A special thank you for the Friday hug from Parmila the chef who was also the concierge at the restaurant.

Although a bit dated a good experience overall, our accommodation had clean comfortable bedding and tidy rooms and location perfect for inner city visits. We went to a concert at Spark arena within walking distance.
We had a lovely breakfast and Parmila the chef made the most delicious mushrooms in sauce and she was very friendly and helpful.

The President Hotel is a great place to stay especially if you have a family. Chef Parmila and her kitchen staff provide the best breakfast in town. Location is perfect for walking around the city. Will definitely stay here again. Thanks

My stay was really just OK. It is a 3 star hotel and it really shows. The customer service was average, some of the staff were not friendly and quite cold. I asked for a wake up call and did not get it. Breakfast can be offered but you are crammed in a small room with an army of people. Not great facilities, unattractive premises and very dull.

If you just want a place to sleep for an Auckland visit and all the decent hotels are crazy expensive, then this place could work. But don't expect all the bells and whistles. I was happy to quickly leave and check out.

Decrepit for its name, but amazing location

The name "President Hotel" is almost too rich to be anything related to an accurate representation of the premises, as from the exterior to the interior it is no better than most backpackers lodges I've been through and really isn't befitting of the label "hotel" much less a "president hotel". The property is worn down and in need of renovation throughout, the rooms look very dated and cramped. The price really reflects that but even then it should have been a little better in its offerings for the price which was very cheap for a "hotel" but not that cheap with all factors considered.

The location is at the very best location in Auckland, I'd know as I've lived in Auckland all my life. It is located extremely centrally for Auckland CBD and is the closest to all the premium shopping and city attractions Auckland CBD has to offer.

There were no problems at all with the customer service and one gentleman behind the counter was very warm and attentive in his attitude.

Overall a great choice for a low-cost multi-storey accommodation right in the heart of the CBD.

Did the basics well, tried to charge me personally for breakfast which was on charge back but they soon sorted that. Room was basic but quiet, clean and tidy. Kitchen was again basic but perfectly fine. Possibly need to invest in some new beds in the not so distant future but I've slept in worse.

You get value for money in this hotel. It’s well maintained and clean. The bed is comfortable. Hot water is reliable. The service is superb. Best of all it’s in the heart of the city! Countdown, a chain of supermarkets in New Zealand is 100 meters away, Sky Tower is less than 300 meters away. It’s simply exhilarating to discover this place!

Very basic hotel nothing fancy. Front desk deco looks like in the 80's. Need to bring your own tooth brush, tooth paste, cotton bud and bedroom slippers. Family room is spacious but only one of the room is with air con. The other room only have a standing fan for air circulation. A pantry with microwave for light warm food. Overall basic, clean but i expected better ammneties and a more modern furnishing in the room.

We were there overnight before we flew home. The rooms were comfortable the beds were too.. It suited us. There were 8 of us. They had a scale to weigh our bags which was great. Some of us were over the limit before we got to the airport.. Nice place.

The location is good as just walking distance from sky tree and reception is 24 hours open.
Close to convenient store and Count down.
Room wasn't spacious and parking lot is underground and too much hustle to park each time as parking space is so tight.
Overall nice hotel though

BW PRESIDENT HOTEL is nicely located in the Auckland CBD, near Sky City, the Tower, and more. The Rail Transit construction project currently impacts the entrance, but location is really good. The Hotel itself is quite OK, with restaurant and other eateries close at hand. It was good to find a BW property in Central Auckland.

Great location and helpful staff. We didn't get much sleep on Saturday night due to the street noise, but we guess it's to be expected in the downtown city! Very clean and spacious, would stay here again.

The experience was satisfactory. Hotel reception was friendly and patient. Everything seemed clean and tidy, although a little dated. Located in a convenient place in the middle of the cbd. We chose it because it was cheap, but it's very basic. No shampoo/body wash/conditioner/lotion/slippers offered.

The beds were unbelievably soft! As soon as you sat down, you sank immediately to the mattress base, as if the mattress itself had no springs. Fortunately we were staying in a three bed room, and my friends were generous enough to give me the relatively more firm bed. It was a little misleading on the booking web site though as it advertised three twin beds but we got only one twin and the other two were super narrow singles.

The room's carpet seems to be flea infested, I woke up with bites all over my body, but if you are the type to be unscathed after a night of sleeping with fleas, then it's suitable for you.

Although there is a lot of construction in the area, the stay was surprising quiet. The staff was very helpful, booking us a taxi and making sure we knew where that taxi could actually get to with street closed in front. The room, although plain, was clean and the kitchen well stocked. The location to access downtown is very good.wished there was breakfast as that is part of why we pick best western hotels.

It's clean, not up to date, noisy with all the construction going on and the air conditioners don't work. Kitchen is a hall with a small fridge and a microwave. AND you have to pay an additional $25/per night to park in their garage (parking on street in free from 10pm to 8am, 6am in some spots. But you are only sleeping here while you explore and enjoy your holiday. Also, they have great people at the front desk, very helpful and polite.
