The room quality was alright other than the stained couches, fleas in the bed and broken door number. Couldn't complain about limited free WiFi, very friendly staff and handy location. But I wouldn't recommend getting this hotel if you have an older person in the group as it is situated on a steep hill. Also the smells of the restaurants and what I'm guessing is University students in the hallway was a bit off-putting thankfully the smells don't penitrate the rooms. Great hotel for just holding your stuff while you explore Auckland.

We found this to be very good value. Ours was a bedroom with separate lounge and kitchenette, everything was spotless. We enjoyed a good nights sleep and will probably stay here again when next in Auckland city.

I have wrote a note that i will come at 8 am and i need the room to be ready as am coming from overseas "more than 18 hours flying" but the room was not ready and they took extra 50 Dollar to prepare the room at 10 am, this two hours i spent in the street wandering around. the rest of my stay was fine.

The room was small and very dark, no balcony as it shows on the picture. It was okay if you are looking somewhere in the city to crush in. But for a business or holiday with family, I do not recommend the hotel.

I had an issue with following:
    1. It says free internet in every website or even the board that you put on street in front of the hotel or their poster in elevator. There was only a 1G/day that you could use, which I would not have chosen in the first place if I knew this was the deal in the beginning. I needed a lot of internet access for my work, and end up paying for it everyday for the additional dataa. When I spoke to the front desk staff that I was not happy with the internet, the staff told me that "It was not the hotel who stated free internet (which people usually think it is unlimited access) but 3rd party website who stated, however it was clearly stated "free internet" on any of the hotel poster, vacant street board and it doesn't say 1G/day limited internet access. The staff also added, "I am welcome to write an review/complain regarding the internet issue if I have problem rather than giving free internet. If you need internet for your work or staying with the family, this could be an issue.

    2. The key chip fell off in the middle of the night where I went out to buy something next door for 5 min. Luckly I was able to call the duty manager and they came very quick, but I was blamed that I may broke the key. Pls check your key properly at the check in if it looks about to break, because they have strick key policy, where they may charge you for breaking the key or calling the duty manager in the middle of the night.

    3. There isn't housekeeping everyday which I only knew when I checked in. It says there will be a small housekeeping on the 3rd day and full housekeeping on the 7th day. The housekeeping came on my 3rd day while I was out. They left me new towels on my bed and garbage was cleared and that's about it. Few dirty dishes I left wasn't washed, and my bed wasn't made. So if you expect a housekeeping in the hotel, this is not the place for you.

Otherwise location was great, the room was clean.

Not easy to discuss booking with staff. We were told we absolutely couldn't check in after 9pm, then on a second phone call, told it was no problem. No parking on site or even temporary spots outside the hotel, so you have to park illegally to check in, to then receive your parking permit, $25 at a nearby parking garage until 10am following morning.
Try your luck at the city car parks over the road.
Staff mostly foreigners, all good, until one lady didn't understand a question asked, so she just ignored us and kept repeating herself.
Room was fine, small TV in lounge, none in bedroom. Bed was two smaller beds pushed together.
Bathroom was clean, severe lack of towel hooks though.
Gym was ok, broken cable machine which we fixed. Treadmill, bike and bench that you can't adjust height rack height without it becoming a incline bench.
    Location was awesome.
No cleaning in our room, stayed 3 nights.
You have to remove your own rubbish etc at end of stay.
4 days after stay, we still hadn't received security deposit. I rang, they insisted it was done. An hour later it magically appeared in bank account.
    Won't stay again.

Service was bad. There was no rollaway bed supplied. They dont answer the phone from rooms to reception. After phoning 7 times had to go down to receptions to see where the bed was. They overcharged me on the carpark and would not refund back to my credit card. Have stayed here many times but will no longer stay there. Plenty of other apartments around Auckland central to chose from.

    Liesand misleads
Had my parent 60+ to stay for 8days hoping the room is small but least cozy and.
1.Wall heaters on pictures were out of order. Instead they put very tiny probably cheapest fan heaters in makret in their rooms as alternative
    2. Room service was only done once on 6th day of stay (un-hygenic)
3.un trained receptionist told me there is no room service no matter how long we stay, any extra set of towels are at our cost of 15dollars.
4.room was so dark and cold apartment is poorly built so some rooms like i booked gets no sunlights in.
    5. Because i was worried for my parent whos over 60. I asked if there is any other room we could move into.. their answer was no but they have kept their vacant sign at entrance all day through my parents stay.
    6. When is spoke to their receptionist to complain, there was another lady and she said the receptionist who mis guided me is not working there any loner (but i live just near by and when i walk around i still can see that lady who told me totally wrong stuff)
What is true in your advertisement pics and service. And what was the misunderstanding?

Hmm for $180 for a two bedroom apartment one cannot really complain. The location was great; five minutes walk to queen Street, with a handy dairy next door. However, in saying that there would be a few simple things to make it a lot nicer.

    1. Proper curtains. Something that at least blocks a bit of light would be nice.
    2. The room to be reflected in the floor plan on their site.
    3. The TV been made sometime this century.
    4. A bed that doesn't make everyone in it roll to the middle.
    5. "Broadband speed wifi" that isn't going dial up speed (managed to get up to 100kb, averaging around 40kb).

Will I return? Really not sure. I'd definitely shop around heavily first.

Stayed there a couple of nights during our trip in North Island. Took the shuttle from the Auckland airport, they dropped us at the doorstep. Checking in was quick. Walking towards the city centre was easy (coming back was not that easy as we have to climb the hill). Room size was fine, but the room we got had no views. Bathroom was tidy. There were no much restaurants nearby.
