Ok for one night for a single person but look somewhere else if you want to stay longer as the beds are old and soft and the pillows are to hard. carpets need replacing and the place is pretty run down. it does have a good location though and like I said if you are on a tight budget it's ok for one night.

Close to city centre. Small apartments tidy and self contained. No parking on site but close to paid parking building.

Affordable, convenient to the city and major bank clients and able to arrange long term stay. You get what you pay for in terms of facilities and service so not suited to those who want the finer things

Quality accommodation in fully equipped serviced apartments in a quiet yet central city location. Just minutes walk from Queen St, Downtown, Britomart, shops, bars and restaurants. Far better than a hotel!

Unfriendly staff at check in. Entire building looks dirty, old and unkept. (Not to mention the overwhelming stench of curry!)
We get to the room, looks like it hasn't been cleaned since it opened! Walls covered in marks, bathroom mouldy with paint peeling off all of the walls & with god only knows what on the ceiling! Benches and tables clearly haven't been wiped recently (or ever!). Carpets are filthy and stained. Dust everywhere!!!
Bed is very basic nothing like feeling springs jammed into your back!
Wifi is a joke!
Toilet doesn't flush properly, and to get it to flush a little bit you need to hold the button down for five minutes at least!!
And here's the best part, we got back after a nice dinner out last night & discovered the room is infested with cockroaches!!! I then do a thorough search of the 'kitchen' and find more cockroaches and bug droppings everywhere!!

We picked this hotel/apartment because it offers a kitchenette with a stove, oven, and fridge. If you don't like to wash dishes, there's also a dishwasher. There is even a washer and dryer (all in one) so you can do a small load of laundry.
There are spoons, forks, butter knives, plates, glasses, and bowls. There is even a small French press! We were pleasantly surprised to see that. For spices, there are packets of salt and pepper. There is even sugar packets for coffee as well as little packets of milk. You will have to buy the coffee, though.
There is also some soap for washing the dishes as well as for the clothes washer.
You'll have to take out your own trash. The "rubbish" room is downstairs just outside the front door. You also need to recycle glass and plastic.
The outlets, or powerpoints, have switches on them so be sure to turn them on if you want the outlet to work. This is true for the appliances.
For a room with a view, I would suggest requesting a room from the 11th floor and up--we're curently on th 12th floor and we can see the bay from our balcony.
The hotel is near a corner store located on Shortland. Further down Shortland where it runs into Queen, there is a New World Metro grocery store. This is the place where my partner and I went grocery shopping for our breakfast and dinner.

I was really disappointed in my stay. Friday morning, cold shower, Saturday morning, hot shower that I couldn't turn down, Sunday morning, cold shower again.
The carpet, especially around the kitchen/lounge area was heavily stained and well worn.
Fridge appeared to just work at a bare minimum, ice didn't freeze, food was lukewarm.
Bed was hard.
Went to pay for car-park and advised the above and pretty much got ignored by person. I asked if he was ok with what I said and he muttered something about him only working front desk and to talk to the Manager. No empathy!
The only good side of this stay was it's close proximity to the City.response / report this review
