The room was comfortable, clean and well appointed. The free minibar was a nice touch, although for absolute perfection I'd have liked more water provided each day. The location on Dam square is excellent with tram stop right outside. The restaurant was closed but the Swisshotel breakfast was excellent with fresh bread baked on site. Receptionists were helpful and polite even when confronted by drunken businesspeople.

Got good price and it was right in the central areas. Walking distance to central station and next to the total palace. Very happening area at night with shops open and people all around.

Room was small, but clean and modern. Perfect location in the city center. Staff was friendly and helpful. Currently the restaurant is under construction, but the construction off not affect my stay.

Perfect location!
Asked for the highest floor, so cant hear nothing of the noise going on the street.
Clean and cozy rooms, more than enough for a couple.

Simple lovely hotel with a awesome location. Right outside a tram stop and at the center of Amsterdam. The rooms can be a little small but the location more than makes up for it

Definitely not a 4 star hotel

Location - Superb

Bed- made daily but sheets NEVER changed during our stay in spite of needing it (we stayed 3 nights)

Rooms- Modern but cheaply done and small. Paper thin walls meant we could hear every movement/door surrounding us throughout night

Bathroom- Our first rooms bathroom was tiny and stank of smoke so had to ask to be moved - which was handled well by the staff. Second bathroom was fine although i noticed hidden corners had some mould. Good shower pressure and hairdryer.

Staff- nice and polite

The hotel is fine but dont expect anywhere near the standard of other 4 star hotels in Europe.The photos online are too kind - big anticlimax and the location was the saving grace

cosy rooms and good friendly stuff. Bad thing was> the shower room does not have a curtain and even the air conditioner does not work properly. Very nice location, right in the middle of the center - Dam Square.

This hotel is in a great location, central to most things in Amsterdam city. We had a room on 1st floor looking onto Damrak. Good double glazing so we didn't get much noise from outside coming in.
Room was clean and tidy (everyday) and very good size. Good bathroom facilities and shower nice.
Good wifi (free). Staff were very friendly. Check in and out was fast and efficient. The restaurant was very good and I have made a very positive review on separate post.
Staying here and dining here is a must.
Well done all staff.

Room Tip: We stayed in room 101, very nice.
