Very good location. Walking distance from railway central. The staff are very nice and helpful. Food and bar are great. The room and bathroom are very clean. Unfortunately, our room is very small and right at fire staircase also the bed is not King size but Queen.

Die Port Van Cleve was a great overall experience. The room we had our stay in was immaculate. Easy check-in process, room facilities were amazing. Breakfast in the morning was one of the best breakfast buffets I've experienced. Very caring staff. 5/5.

Small room, considering we paid for a superior room. Small bathroom too, although fairly well equipped. Staff were very friendly and helpful and restaurant's food was excellent even if the service was a tad slow

Great location and lovely service at 're emotion but small - which is fine but dated room. I'm sure the higher room types would be a little more charming.

The location is fantastic right in the centre of Amsterdam. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The housekeeping staff seem to turn up at strange times and ask questions which can be frustrating and the room is also smaller than we expected. Other than that it has been an enjoyable stay.

Great location in the middle of the city, 2 min walk from Dam square and other attractions.
Rooms are quite small, and part of the establishment should be renovated.
Breakfast was good and staff was very nice.

Stayed for 4 nights here back in February,2012. As soon as we landed in Amsterdam, it seems like there was a virus on the air that affected both of us and we spent almost all the time in the room's bathroom and bed, so we couldn't even complain of how bad the room was, since it had only a window on the ceiling and tv didn't even work. I don't keep a good memory.

The hotel is clean and right in the middle of the city, perfect for spending the majority of time exploring the city without having to walk too far from anything. The staff are lovely as well and really helpful with anything we asked.

The room is a little small though, but the location is ideal.

A lovely hotel in a great location. Due to the hotel being formed from several old buildings rooms of the same grade can vary. Good restaurant provided an adequate breakfast and speciality for dinner is one of their numbered steaks

Staff was amazing! There was a fire outside the building one of the days we stayed there and my girlfriend and I got completely soaked when exiting (through the fire exit). The staff washed and dried our clothes as well as provided us with some drinks while we waited for the rooms to reopen. They also switched our room because the smell was still lingering.

The only reason not the give it a perfect 5/5 is that the pillows are very unconformable.

Great spot. So central to everything. 10 mins walk from train station. Arrived a few hours before check in. Got all the paperwork done left cases. Staff very friendly and helpful. The wee bar in the hotel is very homely. Highly recommend this hotel. Breakfast plenty yo choose from.
