Good location if you want to be in the thick of it, don't expect too much though, room wasn't that clean, and didn't provide towels on our checking out day

Very central location. Vending machines in foyer. 10 bed accommodation had 2 very compact toilet/shower areas. 6 bed accommodation had much more roomy bathroom area.

The receptionists are really helpful and the place nice. Right next the redlight district which is interstion but it's not noisy at all at night. Only downside was that the lockers were a bit small for a travelling rucksack.

If you want to be in amongst the hustle and bustle of the red lift district this hostel is the place to be. I visited on one of the warmest days In summer, around 27 degree Celsius. The room I checked into had a couple of decent fans to keep the temperature down which was great, as well as windows the opened up and gave a great view down the canals.

The facilities were great, clean bathroom, power points and lights for each bed and towels and linen included in the bed price.

The male receptionist working at the front desk was a wealth of local knowledge which made it easy to find great local eating spots and things to do while visiting.

This was a great place to stay. We had a private room that had its own toilet and shower, and the price and privacy was great for the location. Be warned that it is right by the Red Light District, though staying on a weeknight it was fairly quiet. It is also in walking distance to the central train station and many popular tourist spots. Great stay overall, and if you are not Dutch, make sure you have your passport to check in!

I would describe this hotel as a place for convenient access to the red district. the building is old (Like the majority of buildings in Amsterdam) and does not have certain accommodations that might be today's standard.
Rooms are furnished for multiple guests. each bed has a safe-type locker with a digital key that you need to get from the front desk for a 5 euros deposit.
for those that are going to try the legal stuff in Amsterdam, the doors and inside the rooms are pained with screenshots or logos from the movies so you can remember and don't get confused.
they offer free breakfast which is good to start your day with.
breakfast includes: bread, peanut butter, jelly, chocolate spread, boiled eggs, some sort of lunch meat (it varies) cream cheese, butter, coffee and tea.
there is free wifi available but the speed is mediocre of course.
    Hope yall enjoy your stay

Rooms are full of dust, cleaning staff are really rude, breakfast isn't much more that nasty coffee and toast. But close to everything and front desk staff are pleasant

Seriously in the heart of Amsterdam. Thirty seconds from the nearest coffeeshop, sixty from the red light district, and maybe five minutes from the train station. Spacious and clean rooms with private showers and toilets.

Regarding the price, this hostel is not recommandable.

We (8 persons) went there in January 2017 and got the top room.

The toilet is disgusting, there is a moldy urinal smell coming from the drain of the shower that really is unacceptable. Furthermore, the furnishings are all damaged and rattled. Even the windows are broken.

In addition to that, the bedheets were full of hairs and other little things I could not assign.

But the worst thing was, that the ground was oblique.

The only positive thing about this hostel is the central location and closeness to the red-light district and the staff at the reception.

Personally, I would dissuade you from booking this hostel there are lots of other good alternatives.

    Best regards.

Stayed in a 8-person dorm. Second time staying at this hostel. It's got a great location but the bunk bed springs can be a bit noisy which creates a problem I. The shared dorms. Bring ear plugs if you don't want to hear others tossing and turning.
