My wife and I visited this resort for our honeymoon in early April. And WOW! Absolutely nothing to complain about. Service was top-notch. Beautiful rooms and scenery. Food and drinks were on point. Eduardo at the Sports Bar was by far our favorite bartender. He made sure to remember our names from day 1 and became a good friend by the end of the trip. We will definitely be back soon!

Best hotel I have been to. Service was excellent wherever you went. Food and drinks were fantastic. We upgraded to the excellence package which I felt was worth it because we were on our honeymoon and got some freebies for that on the top of the private pool, lounge, bar and beach. Our bar tender Moises was a hero!

All restaurants were delicious especially the Hibachi or the French which were our favourites.

All in all a fantastic experience and the closest I have felt to being treated like royalty!

Came here for our annual trip to Mexico and had the most unbelievable time. We had stayed at the Secrets Cancun the year before so we figured this place would have a hard time meeting out expectations but it blew them out of the water. Although the resort wasn't quite as new and modern the rooms were lovely, the staff was exceptional and the entertainment was VEGAS LEVEL! They also had a ton of Vegan and Gluten Free options during every dinning experience including the buffets which is rare. Both myself and my parter had some of the best meals of our life at an ALL INCLUSIVE? Ya, you heard that right. Do yourself a favour and book your next vacation here, you won't regret it.

Excellence Riviera Cancun is paradise in paradise. A special thanks to Eduardo our favorite bartender, Sergio out favorite waiter at the Lobster House, Andrea, the best beach server ever, and to our housekeeper for making the room perfect every day. The resort is large, so it never feels crazy crowded. The food in all of the restaurants was fresh, perfectly prepared, and plentiful. We stayed in a swim up suite in 6028, and found that location to be quiet and calm. The resort is maintained at a very high standard, and my wife and I were amazed at the beauty, pride, and service of all of the staff. I would like to thank them for helping me practice my Spanish, and for making the 5 days there a beautiful vacation.

This resort was very nice. Staff were great and always willing to do anything you need. They have speak great English if your Spanish isn't the greatest. The rooms are large and were always clean. We had the best turn down maid. After the first night of us asking her for a picture she always stopped back around the same time seeing if we wanted another dinner picture for that night. Beach was nice, very few vendors on the beach which was great. Pools were beautiful and the poolside service was great. Ana was a great poolside server and knew how to keep em coming. Food was wonderful at all the special restaurants as well as the Buffett. Every night you get a newsletter telling you the next days special activities including special meals and drinks of the day which are a must try. Activities are plentiful and loved the special theme nights that were offered what seemed to be almost every other night. Overall this resort is great and we just loved the staff, made us feel so welcome and we can't wait to come back.

Excellence truly does live up to their name - my husband and I spent our honeymoon at the Excellence - Rivera Cancun for 10 days. We were overwhelmed by the amazing service, quality services, delicious food, endless activities, etc - we felt like royalty!

Great all-inclusive resort! After staying at other all-inclusive resorts, ERC exceeded all expectations. Only left resort for a day trip. Excellent value. Service was exceptional! I will return.

Came here for our honeymoon, coming back now 2 years later. Really nice place! The hydrotherapy at the Mile spa is absolutely wonderful. great selection of restaurants. If you like all inclusive this place is definitely worth a go!

This is only my second all-inclusive experience ever, but it's definitely my favorite. The rooms were stunning, the food was excellent, there was a wider than expected variety of drinks to choose from, and service was great at every turn. I definitely recommend visiting the spa.
Only reason for -1 star was they didn't have the type of room I'd booked available when I arrived, but I was able to switch the second day. Another couple we talked to had the same experience, so I'm thinking they oversell the king rooms and hope people settle for the 2 queens.

Only two days into our trip, but it's far surpassed my wildest expectations. Food is amazing, drinks are amazing (and free-flowing) the scenery is spectacular, the room is breath taking, the beach is straight out of your stereotypical dream beach setting. My only real complaint is lack of beer selection, there's only one pale ale at the resort, and they're out of stock. Other reviewers complaint about sea grass on the beach, which there is, but they have an entire staff dedicated to beach combing, and it's not intolerable or unexpected. My wife and I couldn't have picked a better honeymoon spot, and we're already half joking about when we're coming back. 10/10 would recommend

Edit: Its been one year, and we're back at Excellence Riviera Cancun for our one year anniversary. It seems like only yesterday we were here, and its still absolutely dreamlike. I can't see us ever going to another resort, because how does one improve upon perfection? It is absolute paradise.

Lives up to its name!! Truly excellent, we had an amazing time and will definitely be going back. Recommend the rooftop room's. It was so nice to go and relax on your own rooftop with your own slash pool leather suite and leather double sunbed. Wow wow is all I can say.

Amazing experience from the staff to the food to the events. We went here on our Honeymoon and I am so glad we did. Everything was going wrong during our travels but as soon as we got here we were treated so well and everything fell into place. The club is worth the upgrade if you want to relax and enjoy your time, otherwise the other pools are a lot more fun and exciting with music and drinks flowing fast. Highly recommended place.

We had the best time on our honeymoon. Staff was there for our every need. The honeymoon package included breakfast in bed, a romantic dinner, and champagne in the room. The coffee shop was great for sweets and grab and go food, restaurants were all super nice, and the room service was some of the best food we had. Drinks are tall and strong. Rooms were beautiful and the large pools made for Great privacy, if desired. perfect place to relax!!

This resort is top notch. I would highly recommend this place the staff there is amazing and super nice and friendly. The food there was fantastic and delicious. Lots of different places to choose from when you wanted to eat. The late night shows were great. They had lots of activities for you to do.

Everyone is very nice! Food could be better. A little disappointed by the room service options but the staff have been fantastic at trying accommodate. Unfortunately our room wasn't ready our first evening here so we had to stay in a different room and then switch rooms the next day. A bit inconvenient.

Resort grounds were fantastic. There were more bars and pools than we knew what to do with. Our room was very nice and comfortable, the staff were great, and it's only a quick drive from the airport. The drinks were good and they have a lot of top-shelf items to choose from. My only complaints were regarding the food and the beach. The food overall was good, but not great. There was only 1 restaurant open for breakfast before 8 and only a few open for lunch. The beach had nice soft sand, blue water and plenty of places to lay in the sun, but the large amount of seaweed that continually washed on shore kept us in the pool the whole time. They did have crews out every morning to clean up the seaweed as best as they could. Overall, I was very happy with the resort and would definitely return.

Also, the coffee shop in the main building near the front desk was a nice touch!

Love it. Had a great time. Very clean. Friendly staff. Definitely do the bike tour with Javier. It was a great ride and nice time shopping. Love the coffee shop on site.

OK, so great food, top line drinks, beautiful beach, no kids.What's not to love? Seriously, the staff was fantastic. Everyone smiled and wanted to please. I've been to other Mexican resorts and this is my favorite. Went with my sister and always felt comfortable.
