Fantastic resort. Everyone we encountered seemed to love working there and loved to help make your experience unforgettable. Unlike a lot if resorts in Mexico not once did I get the feeling that any employee was doing anything specifically to squeeze tips out of you.

The food was incredible. Of the roughly 15 meals my Finance and I ate we we're only unimpressed by one. We ordered a basic breakfast to our rooms one morning which was cold by the time it arrived but the pizza spot, the french restaurant, the grill, the Indian spot and even the coffee shop we're all incredible, so much so that I would go back just for the food.

The all inclusive is exactly as it sounds including the mini bar in the room being restocked daily as well as 4 full sized bottles of liquor at your disposal in the room.

There are dining options essentially 24-7 and everything tasted fresh and quality.

When it came to liquor the bartenders were all personable and talented. They were happy to help facilitate an enjoyable atmosphere with shots and signature while not forcing liquor down people's throats.

The entire resort was spotless, well taken care of, with plenty of pool options etc. It really lives up to it's name.

Lastly, the resort was extremely safe. The arrange transportation from the airport, the whole "town" is essentially private resorts, they are gated, and none of the employees gave off a remotely sketchy vibe.

My wife & I traveled and spent 9 wonderful days at this resort. From our private transfer to our transfer our back to the hotel ever care and need was tended to as part of this all inclusive resort. It was nearly absent of any upselling and every single member of the staff was always nice, out going, and more than willing to help. All of the staff had excellent English. The bar tenders and waiters were all super happy and quick to help. One of the most surprising parts of our visit is that we met several others that continue to be repeat guests here. Many have said that they have been to several other resorts and always come back to this resort because of the hospitality. Also a big bonus is that it's a kid free zone. It's an adult only zone! I would recommend paying the little extra for the swim up pool! It is worth it! When we go back we are going to book as part of their excellence club members.

This all inclusive hotel is truly awesome. I enjoyed every moment. The staff cater to your needs. The only complaint is that the entertainment is always the same. I have visited several excellence resorts over the span of 10 years and the nightly entertainment is always the same. Nevertheless. I love it and will go back. Oh another thing they switched the syrup they use for their mix drinks and it taste like diet sweetener. The restaurants are fantastic.

The food is the best I've had at an all inclusive resort, and rivals some top Calgary restaurants (particularly the Mexican and French). The service is excellent. The grounds are beautiful. The entertainment was high quality. It was busy and had energy without being boisterous. I would return.

Best vacation (other than my honeymoon)! This place is wonderful. We stayed in a swim up room across from the bar with pizza. As we laid on the sun bed outside our room, waiters came by with drinks, water, fruit. It was truly amazing. There were so many restaurants, we didn't get to try them all. The food was great, small serving sizes with many courses. The Pop star and Michael Jackson shows were awesome! Estrella also took great care of us before, during, and after the show. The spa was wonderful - 80 min massage! Overall, great place to relax, have fun, and experience top notch service.

This place lives up to the hype. The staff here is amazing. They go out of the way to make sure you are having a good time. Drinks and food are abundant. The food is really good, especially for an all inclusive. Go for Excellence Club if you can, I think the perks are worth it.

All I can say is WOW!!! No place will ever compare to the Excellence. They live up to their "best all inclusive in the world" reputation. Our expectations were exceeded by the truly world class service offered here. Everyone is friendly and helpful! The rooms are extremely clean and comfortable. The food is INCREDIBLE and high quality. I've never in my life had seafood that fresh. They offer breakfast and lunch buffets and so many restaurants to choose from. The entertainment was amazing and all the performers were so talented. We enjoyed every single minute. All I can say is that this place is paradise and truly a dream and I can't recommend this resort enough. They did so much to make our honeymoon perfect and unforgettable. THANK YOU EPM!! We are counting down the days until we return again!

Excellence Play Mujeres Cancun Mexico was awesome. The Resort, Staff and food was more than I could image. I would recommend going if you couples only. I would not recommend for singles. It's Not the best place for singles folks you must take a 20 min cab downtown Cancun were all of the clubs are located.

So I have sat here a read reviews before I came and to be honest this place is paradise. Staff rooms pool beach food all amazing. I will say that the negative comments to people leave on here are the people who don't get what they want right away. Did experience this first hand with a lady complain and said she was going to write a bad review because she had to wait in line. Everyone is very helpful and polite. I do highly suggest excellence club if you go the perks are worth it. I am on day 5 here and 2 more to go. I will be coming back

Beautiful resort and wonderful experience for our honeymoon. Perfect location on the beach with calm waters and soft sand. About 35 min ride from airport. Rooms were cleaned multiple times a day and very spacious. Staff was very friendly - great experience from check in to check out and everyone we encountered in between.

Really great place, service is amazing. Food is great except their Asian restaurant. It was simply terrible and the furthest from Asian that you can get. That said I give this resort a solid 5 stars. I would happily recommend it to any couple. Seriously excellent!

The resort is absolutely amazing. We have been to Secrets resorts and have thought they were the best you could get, however, thos place proved us wrong. The rooms are bigger (the big showers are very nice), nicer, more food choices, the staff has been wonderful. Hugo at the main bar in the front is super nice and an amazing mixer. The pools are much bigger, and there are beach front food buffet that is themed daily. So many food options really. Our stay has been wonderful and we will be back. Amazing resort.

This is an amazing resort. Facilities are impeccable. Staff is exceptional. Food is spectacular (the all inclusive does not take away at all from the quality of the food and drink). This is not a Cancun party hotel. Quiet and relaxing. We never ran into loud people or overly intoxicated guests. Wish we had stayed longer so we could try out all the dining options. Too many good places to eat in the five nights we are here.

Really nice all inclusive resort. Do not go if you are single unless you are going there for a wedding or some sort of event for someone else. Food was surprising in how good it was. Not a good place for single people looking to party and hook up with randoms

Top notch is what comes to mind when I think of my stay at Excellence in Playa Mujeres. The grounds are pristine. The service was above my expectations for an all inclusive resort. It's a large resort, so I didn't get bored. There were plenty of dining options, places to lounge by the beach, and choreographed shows and events in the evening. The long lazy river and the swim up bar is where the fun and relaxation begin! Cheers to a beautiful vacation.

I just got back from one of the most memorable vacations. From the beauty of the grounds to the thoughtful service, the resort is a top 5 star destination. The staff goes out of their way to make you feel home. The restaurants catered to a variety of taste and gourmet cuisine. The nightly entertainment was surprisingly fun and well choreograph. You couldn't help to sing along or got up and dance We are already planning our next visit.

Hands down the best all inclusive resort! What makes this resort second to none first and foremost is the incredibly friendly and hard working staff from the front desk to the bartender to the grounds crew. Everybody treats you like royalty and always smiles and says hello when passing. They go above and beyond to make you feel welcome and well taken care of. Excellence Playa Mujeres also exceeds in the variety and quality of food and beverages, room accommodations, pool quality, abundance of activities, and much more. So whether you are coming for a wedding, for your honeymoon/anniversary, your birthday, or just because you will find yourself submerged by the overwhelming friendly and caring aura this magnificent resort has to offer. I would recommend this resort to anybody. The only downside (if you can even call it that) is the price. Don't get me wrong it is worth every penny but I just wish I could afford to go every year haha. Hopefully one day my wife and I will be able to make it back.
