Hotel location is great being so close Shinagawa Station. Reception staff are efficient and helpful on my arrival. Hotel stores my suitcase until I return from my Kyoto trip. The business lounge offers free drinks and food for hotel guests. Japanese breakfast is very good at one of the restaurants.

i paid 2 man for a night in this beautiful hotel. The quality of this room was poor. there were hairs stuck to the ceiling in the bathroom. the walls and curtains were stained and run down. not at all what i expected of such a famous hotel. the next morning, my son and I left early for breakfast and then a swim in the pool. The main reason i was willing to spend extra money on the room was for the indoor pool. my son loves swimming. we went straight from breakfast to the pool only to find out that we had to pay and additional 1050 yen. I was very upset about this. the lady apologized and told me that we could only stay in the baby pool anyway. I will not be staying here again and will be sharing my experience on different websites.

I have stayed in this hotel twice now and it was a great experience.
In my past 2 visits I have stayed here for more than a month. Its is centrally located and is well connected to Public transport, Metro, airport limousine and taxi service. The lobby and breakfast area is so huge that it can easily facilitate more than 500 people at a same time.

Our stay at the Shinagawa Prince N Tower was very comfortable: the room was efficient and exceptionally clean; the staff was helpful and courteous; and the location was superb. I know the rooms are bigger in other towers, but they were much more crowded and the elevators often got backed up. N Tower was cozy and quiet, so easy to sneak in and out of without a fuss. (And such a quick access from the train station!) The coin laundry came in handy, and we used the lounge space upstairs almost everyday for coffee, breakfast, and to catch up on our work. Thank you to the staff, we will be back!

It has been many years since I've been to the Shinagawa Prince and was surprised at all the changes.
Having the convenience store and ATM machine, not to mention a pharmacy were wonderful additions.
I appreciate how the hotel is trying to "go green" and offers a JPY500 coupon for each day the linens/towels do not have to be used, AND they still come to dispose of the rubbish.
I was impressed by how the person in charge of my room noticed I had used all the cotton swabs (this was the only amenity that I used), and she kindly replenished them.
The location directly across the Shinagawa Station allowed me to conveniently get to and from wherever I wanted to go with nearly no transfers.
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and hope to be in Tokyo again soon.

Great hotel, wonderful location. Stayed in the N tower, which looked very new. Typically small rooms, but big enough to be comfortable. Lots of food options very close by.

Excellent location and reasonable price for this area. Upstairs lounge with breakfast included (but paper plates and plastic cutlery, really?). Good staff.
Typically small rooms in the north tower but adequate IF one utilizes the shelf under the window. Nice automated and heated toilet seat, a real rush treat. Have stayed in this hotel MANY times and always return.

The location is perfect, the hotel old but rather large rooms for Tokyo. There are different towers, we stayed in the main tower, there is also an Annex tower, an East Tower and I think one more. They vary in room size and style, so check carefully which to pick. If you get a good deal for the Prince Takanawa (which also is surrounded by related hotels, e. G. I the New Prince Takanawa of which the Prince Takanawa is the cheapest) which is just around the corner, I'd prefer that (I stayed there last year), as the rooms are really large, and it had a beautiful garden. But the difference is not worth much money to my opinion, but that might be seen different by different people. The Prince Shinagawa is clean, as I said comfortable size rooms and perfect location close to Shinagawa station. From there you can reach everything easily. The bar on the highest floor has separate smoking and non smoking areas, the drinks are expensive and not great (but ok). But the view is great, so it's good for an evening when you are too tired for anything else.

Location is great, but the room is really dated and small. Breakfast is the best here!!! Seven restaurants to choose, all are good, especially the one at the top floor, great view with good food!! In a whole, good for business stay or just shopping, which you don't have to spend too much time in the room. For family trip not recommended.

Amazing place and great staff. If never been to Japan do not expect American style hotel. Room is large for Japan standard and has AMAZING views, but is small for most Americans. Room is very comfortable, has great beds, and all offerings of home like tea and coffee. One down side is very few electrical outlets. 3 total for electronic devices so you have to consider what is plugged in where.
