It's a typical Japanese business hotel. Very clean but perfunctory. Staff super polite and eager to help. Elevator incredibly slow at times, I waited at least 5 minutes to travel to the lobby for check out. The rooms, whilst very small are perfect if you're just looking for somewhere to lay your head - clean, comfortable bed and a very good shower. The complementary breakfast in the morning is worth a go- Miso soup and a rice ball is an excellent way to start the day!
budget hotels the convenience store so close just 1 mins by walk
Location is a bit inconvenient. Bed seems to be an elevated board with a futon on top, not soft at all. Room and hotel are otherwise clean and inviting and the staff is helpful.
Great affordable stay! Small, but clean, and had the deep bathtub I absolutely must have while in Japan -- even my husband who is tall and broad fit in it comfortably! Free breakfast is a quick and satisfying way to start the day and the staff are professional and friendly. We stayed at multiple Toyoko Inns throughout our trip in Japan -- if you'll be there for a while, ask if they still offer a membership (worth it if you'll be staying at multiple!).
Great budget hotel in Shinjuku Kabukicho. It's a bit far from Shinjuku JR but the room is pretty great and clean. It offers breakfast and has minimarket nearby.
Nice, small room that's perfect for a quick rest. Breakfast is included which is convenient and yummy. A bit of a walk from the train station.

Good place to stay
Have stayed here many time, excellent staff and service and would definitely stay here again for my next trip to Japan.
The rooms are very small, as to be expected. But they are fully featured, and there's a great breakfast included. The location leaves you within the heart of everything going on in Shinjuku, with no shortage of things to do and places to eat. Shinjuku station is a fairly quick walk away as well.
All the staff is courteous and friendly, and made the best effort to help us even with our weak Japanese language skills.
Would definitely recommend this and other Toyoko Inns!
