Hotel was excellent. Comfy bedding, spacious rooms, and wonderful service. Room was a tad difficult to figure out lights wise, but was manageable. Breakfast was well presented and delicious. Evening turn down service was in intrusive, and provided some delicious chocolates. If we could, we definitely would stay there again.

Very happy with our stay. Nice view to piazza SMN, spacious room with clever design. Staff are very polite and attentive. complimentary water and turn down service daily, with a surprise of complimentary wine in ice bucket delivered to room in 2nd evening. Breakfast is delicious with nice coffee. Highly recommended.

Totally fantastic hotel. I really came close to rating 5 stars, except the wifi was basically useless for all 3 days we were there.
With that said, everything about the hotel was fantastic. Very nice, and very eclectic. We had to go up one elevator, then wind through the hotel to another elevator, up to our room. Really very cool. Rooms were fantastic - very well appointed.
Great location, less than 5 minute walk from Santa Maria Novella train station, and trust me, in Florence, you really need to be in walking distance. Great service as well.
In spite of the Wifi, I would still recommend, and still stay there again.response / report this review -

Spent our silver wedding anniversary here. Can't recommend them enough, staff are friendly, efficient and welcoming. Room was up to the web site description. Breakfast had a lot of variation and plenty to eat. The rooftop terrace is worth a visit for the views and the occasional sunbathe. A good base for seeing Florence. Best ice-cream is from the Gelataria across the square

Excellent location. Staff are friendly and helpful. The building is old as with a lot of hotels in Europe so the room are not modern but functional and clean. Nice rooftop terrace with views over the piazza

Great location on the Square. Great service and very friendly. Room is a little small but bathroom is huge and small walk-in closet.

Chocolate on the bed when you come back from a day of sight seeing. Location is great for walking and close to the train station. Great breakfast! And very clean!

This hotel has horrible customer service. Due to flight and passport complications my husband and I lost 1 day stay in Florence. We contacted the hotel for a refund and they said they will not and cannot refund. So we tried an alternative route of moving the date of check-in and apparently they cannot make any changes to the reservation. Life happens and clearly this hotel is not understanding. Money is more important than their customer service and their reputation. Good luck.

Excellent hotel staff and service. The lodging is beautiful and the location is excellent. Expect a gourmet breakfast and a relaxed evening bar.
