The worst experience ever!
This hotel gave us a horrible room which just changed floor TWO days ago with extremely strong smell of glue and chemicals! The reception refused to either change room or refund for us！Very rude staff who kept using his pen point at guests! NEVER choose this hotel if don’t want to waste you money and time in Florence.

Typical Italian 3* hotel: Very nice staff, professional service. Breakfast is great (for Italian standards!). The location is simple awesome, you're practically in the city center.

However as nice it is to have the hotel in a historical building: You really hear everything from the neighbours, WIFI could work better (it's OK for seightseeing, but I was on a business trip) and the interior (furniture, bed, etc.) is already relatively old. Speaking of which: There is such a magnificent breakfast room (historical building!), and then they put cheap plastic chairs and tables there

Still, I can recommend it, especially if you want just a nice hotel to sleep in the city center.

A beautiful hotel set just a few hundred yards from Duomo. The hotel is built in to 2 former palaces, from which you can still see decorations. It isnt the most modern hotel you will find, nor will it have the most amenities but the charm and quirkiness makes up for all that, and the staff have been very helpful.

Absolutely beautiful building and location. A/C dodgy and not very good considering the scorching heat which made it quite uncomfortable. Only other downside was that there was a Gecko just chilling, minding its own business in the room, when we asked if we could have it removed the man came in, stamped on it, and threw it off the balcony whilst my 9 year old brother stood there, disturbed at what he'd just done.

First of all it is in a convenient location. Staff are friendly. Breakfast is good. Nice atmosphere. Moderately priced, but rooms have everything you need. Nice atmosphere.

My husband and I stayed at Hotel Paris during our visit to Florence. We are in our 20s but didn't want to do a hostel. The location is perfect. Close to majority of the attractions and the train station. You can walk everywhere. Breakfast is your usual European continental breakfast. I gave it 3 stars because the hotel is a little outdated and the space is not used efficiently. The staff were helpful and speaks English, French and Italian. Our overall experience was good. You can't beat the location!

The Paris hotel is ideally situated and within easy walking distance of all the main sites, and less than 5 minutes walk from the rail and bus station.
We asked for and got a room with a view of the Duomo (room 336), though it was only a partial view.
The staff were all pleasant and helpful, and all spoke good English.
Breakfast was good, with a good selection of croissants and pastries, as well as ham, cheese, cakes and tarts, and fruit. Coffee although from a machine was surprisingly excellent, there were the usual fruit juices as well.
The building is old, and consequently some things like the plumbing are a bit ancient, we had difficulty with flushing the toilet which needs 10 minutes to refill once used. The shower head was too high for my wife to reach and adjust the angle, and the bath had no hand grips to assist entry and exit. We were there 3 nights and the towels and sheets were not changed in that time. The window was stiff and difficult to open and close, as were the outer shutters. But with both inner and outer shutters the room was quiet.
Overall this was a reasonable hotel, and we enjoyed our stay, but there are room for some improvements. We would stay again.

This was our first trip to Italy. What can I say? Amazing! Florence is beautiful, the people friendly and the Hotel Paris was fabulous! The staff were friendly, helpful and always smiling. The rooms are spacious, quiet and clean. Cleaned daily, air conditioned. The hotel is in the middle of the city centre and is easy to get to all tourist attractions and local side streets where bargains can be found. We would definitely stay at this hotel again if/when we return to Florence. If you ask me to rate out of 10, then 10 all day long!
