The best part of this hotel is the views and it's location. It's a 4 minute walk from the train station Firenze SML. But the view is the best especially when you go up to the restaurant for breakfast as the Capella Medici, Duomo, is right there! It is more of a business hotel I believe and the beds were a little hard but it is super quaint and has a nice feel to it.

Just had a one night stay, as we were in Florence for a friend's wedding at the end of a trip elsewhere in Italy. To be honest I just chose it because it was very close to the station, but overall I was pretty pleased with this hotel. Room was of a decent size and in good condition. Decor slightly weird, lots of heavy, bulky fixtures and fittings in very dark wood, I think I might have found it slightly oppressive for a longer stay, but fine for one night. I guess this is a vernacular Tuscan style and if so it is exactly as it should be. Perhaps it just struck me as odd as I'd been in Venice prior to that, which obviously has very different architectural traditions.

The view from our window was unremarkable (in fact as there was some building work outside the hotel even gave us a bottle of Chianti to say sorry for it), but the view from the roof terrace and at breakfast was spectacular - a great sight line to the Duomo and many other landmarks of Florence.

I was very disappointed by my stay at this hotel . I was booked in as part of a group booking and I paid a single room supplement. My room had no daylight at all and I was really very shocked by this at a supposedly 4 STAR hotel. The window opened on to a dark column of supposedly fresh air. I don't think a room such as the one I was allocated should be allowed at a 4 star hotel, as it cannot conceivably pass health and safety requirements. It did have wifi which is more than can be said for the first similar room that I was allocated which I requested to be moved from . Both exceptionally bad rooms and not remotely 4 star. This hotel should be reported to the standards agency.

Lovely room. *Construction going on outside in the square next to Hotel (not a deal breaker). Room upgrade & bottle of wine in room for the "inconvenience". Delicious and multiple food options for breakfast with fantastic views - included with our stay. I would return on my next visit.

A beautiful hotel. A 4 minute (if that) walk from the train station and very close to the Duomo and shopping. The hotel is beautifully decorated! You really get a feel for this buildings past. They offer quite a bit of amenities (we loved the robe/slippers, turn down service and laundry service). This was our favorite hotel on our 3 city Italian honeymoon :)

Great hotel but the bar is amazing. Have Marco make you his signature dirty martini with a hint of absinthe. It's divine!

The hotel was nice, located in the heart of Florence, right near the Santa Maria Novella train station. Easy to access via multiple transportation methods. Call ahead if traveling by car to confirm to avoid the ZTL fines, (you should be fine, they will call in your license plate to the police once you arrive). The breakfast had many great tasting options, and a beautiful view of a decent amount of the city. The sun rising over the Duomo is a sight to be seen! The room itself was nice, with a comfortable bed, and large windows with the ability to be opened from within allowed for fresh air. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable about the area. I would definitely stay the Grand Hotel Baglioni for future stays in Florence.

Defently one of the best hotels in Florence. It is so good, that we stayed here again after we are back to Florence after one year. Large rooms, and bathroom, very nice restaurant with perfect view of Dome for breakfast, and in evening on the roof amazing view of city. Staffs are very kind. Hotel is well connected, (just 2 minutes walking distance from main train station, and reaching with car is easy without going to intercity traffic-btw, do not take car to Florence, cost you 30€ per night for parking and you will not need it). Strongly recommended, if you try it one time you will never risk to go to any other hotel in Florence!
