Stayed for 3 nights. Not my favourite hotel of my entire Italy trip. Good location near the train terminal but dirty hotel. Dusty floors, dirty mattress and hair and mold in bathroom. They come into your room often as well. There isn't anywhere to hang your wet laundry if you wash something. So be prepared to let it dry for a few days. The shower leaks water out as well on the bathroom floor. There were plenty of bugs and mosquitos here.
We really enjoyed our stay here. Front desk staff were always available and super helpful. For the room available to serve breakfast, breakfast was also satisfactory with enough choice to ensure we ate something every morning. Rooms were clean and neat (although quite small). Bathrooms also a little small - but that is standard in Europe. In fact, compared to other like rated hotels, this one was better! Amenities refreshed daily, except on our last day where they forgot our toilet paper..
The only let down was that the elevator doesn't go to all floors, so if on the top level then you need to lug your suit cases up some stairs. I wouldn't say this is a deal breaker, but something to be aware of.
The hotel is also super close to the train station (literally across the road) and you can walk to most worthwhile sights in Florence from here within 30 minutes with great food selections within a 15-20 minute walk. Also has a decent sized convenience store next door and a bus depot for certain tours next door too!
Favorite hotel in Florence because of the wonderful staff (especially Ms. Bouchra and Mr. Roshan in the kitchen, and Mr. Alssandro at the front desk)!! Conveniently located a block from the train station and walking distance to all the major attractions. The breakfast was great, good variety, fresh and delicious! The rooms are spacious, clean, and modern. The booking rates are extremely reasonable, considering the accommodations and the fact that the breakfast is included.
For our second day in Florence we stayed at their sister hotel, The C Hotel Ambasciatori, just around the corner. It was more upscale and modern, rooms were slightly larger, fun ambiance, and a beautiful onsite bar at the hotel. BUT the staff was unbelievably RUDE, especially to non-Italian speaking guests!!! So we returned to The Club Hotel for our third and final night in Florence.
Great location, just a short walk to the train station and St. Maria Novella
Awesome breakfast. Excellent service. Elevator is small
It feels like a wannabe fancy hotel. They give you shoe polish in the bathroom, there's a bidet, tons of towels, complementary drinks. Yet it's not quite it. The door frame in our room has a piece that sticks out, the light switch isn't level and there's an ugly hole in the ceiling.
Having said that, for what we paid for it this is a great hotel well worth its money. The bedsheets are fresh and the bed is comfortable for me (although a bit too hard for my girlfriend).
Medium quality hotel. The location is very good but the building itself can improve.
Absolutely horrendous experience with the front desk. Last night I happened to find myself in need of help to get a taxi in that neighborhood. We had tried calling a few blocks away however they wouldn't come at that hour because the area is particularly bad. Especially at night. I saw a taxi infront of this hotel however he was picking up some guests. I asked the driver to call me one and he proceeded to ask the front desk. Now I may not have much experience with 4 star hotels in Italy but I do know that they should be able to call you a taxi even if you're not a guest. Not only did this staff member not want to help he even wouldn't let my girlfriend sit on a chair in the lobby. That stuck me as extremely strange as there was a random guy in a hat and sunglasses sleeping on another chair nearby? I had even inquired as to how much a room would be in case we had to stay there. He said they were completely full with no availability. I reminded him that two groups had just checked out and he could probably find something, however once again no go. I guess the moral of the story is to be careful not to go to that area at night and definitely don't rely on the services of this hotel because they are not 4 star.
reasonable price, nice bathtub, warm and helpful people, modern style/cozy and clean room, elevator, perfect location !
there's a supermarket next door and sita bus station, also the train station.
definitely re-book here when I visit florence again.
sincerely, thank you for the guys who helped me when I got hurt my leg.
Location is convenient as is right across the train station. It is not the nicest area in Florence but it is very close to the main spots. The staff is very nice and polite and rooms are very clean, though small. Great service.
Clean room and a reasonable size for Florence, there if also a light breakfast bag which consists of a croissant, banana and fruit juice included. The price was reasonable.
The hotel was very close to the train station and walking distance to many popular sights.
