Orange Car Rental is not at the Keflavik (KEF) airport, you need to know this. They are located at 10 Vesturbraut, Reykjanesbaer, Keflavik, Iceland which is about a 5 to 8 minute drive. You meet your shuttle driver after you pickup your luggage near the departure/arrival exit. He will be holding a sign which has many different car rental company names on it. So Orange Car Rental is just one of many. Our shuttle driver was late and he was a new employee and the process of finding him holding the sign was a bit confusing. When we found him there was more people needing a shuttle ride then he could take. He told us another drive was on his way to assist. He suggested that we split up and the people who needed to start the paperwork back at the office (drivers) come with him and the rest of the party should take the next shuttle. So I went with the 1st shuttle driver and my wife and kids took the 2nd shuttle. Upon arrival at the office Orange Rental had 3 agents taking care of all the paperwork. They were fast and professional. My wife and kids arrived less than 5 minutes after I arrived. The car we rented and reserved was clean, new and drove nicely. So we were pleased with the condition of the vehicle. All the vehicles being rented looked new and clean and nice. Their facility is clean, the people working for Orange Car Rental were very pleasant and helpful. We returned the car one week later. The return process was fast and they had shuttles waiting for us. At least two shuttles were in the parking lot ready to take people to the airport. The driver that dropped us off was the same person who picked us up 7 days earlier. I should mention that I took extra insurance just to avoid and potential headaches should I damage their vehicle which thankful I did not. It was worth the piece of mind.

Nice car even better service. We hired a car fairly painlessly after a late flight and both hire and return made easy by the friendly staff. The staff went above and beyond as well after we left some property in the glovebox and they have organised to send back to the UK for us. Highly recommend.

Orange car rental was great. We almost booked with Avis/Budget, but after the poor reviews we decided to skip the hassle and go with better rated company and glad we did. They took picture "time stamped" so there are no questions returning the car. The company gave us a discount gas key fab. They also helped us get to our hotel when our flight got cancelled due to the blizzard and went out of their way when they didn't have to. Definitely recommend! Keep up the good work!

The vehicle was fantastic. We enjoyed the journey in Iceland and it was a wonderful experience. The service from the staffs were very helpful as they provide the transportation to and from the airport. I strongly recommend to book through this company to loan vehicle. The vehicle is also very nice, clean and in very good condition like a new car.

Great experience. My flight came in late and my previous rental plans fell through. Orange went out of their way around closing time to come get me from the airport. Car was great, and the charges were as agreed upon. Highly recommend.

Unfortunately this is a very negative review we hired a car for 7 days from Orange whilst in Iceland. The car ran fine but it was the extras and service that let them down in a big big way. Firstly the counter isn't located at the airport. Add 20 minutes to waiting at the airport for your ride, plus a 7-8 minute journey via the shuttle. We didn't get into our car for well over 1.5 hours after landing. But that's all fine compared to what happened next. We added a wifi unlimited package this stated 6 hours of battery life plus 100m distance from source. Neither was true, 2 hours and 10m max! Then once we tried to charge it.. we were given the wrong cord. So naturally I called and asked what to do. NO apology, NO offer to drop off cord. Was sent to buy one, and sent to a place that didn't sell them! After a strongly worded email we were given a refund.. AND THEN the refund was another charge not a refund! Still waiting on now $400 AUD to be refunded. AVOID!!!! Hassle isn't worth the cheapness of this company.

Great experience with orange car rentals. During waiting for flight nice lady Klárka took us on sightseeing around Keflavik. Thanks for that! Friendly multicultural crew. Be prepared for high insurance deposit. Free coffee and discounts in Olís gas station site. Price for rent were almost double higher, than on car rental website.

Went here because of the reviews, was not disappointed. Staff was very friendly, especially considering somebody picked us up after midnight when our flight arrived. We rented an inexpensive car, plenty enough to do the southern part of the ring road and the Golden Circle.

The best rental company in Iceland! A rent car we received was so clean and new, so we haven't experienced any problem on our trip. Even although we dropped off at 3 AM, they welcomed us at that time, and they offered shuttle service to the airport. I am recommending this orange car rental company, strongly, to my friends!

After having read the nightmare reviews with other big name car rental companies operating from Keflavik airport, I switched to Orange based on the exact opposite reviews and was I glad I did! The guys at the front desk are friendly, experienced and are not out to get your money. They genuinely want you to have a good experience driving in Iceland, and in my case were very helpful with driving tips and suggestions since it was my first visit. The check out process was smooth and of course it helped that I didn't have a single nick on the vehicle. They even went out of their way to come in to the office when I arrived late for the drop off, and were back there early morning to take me to the airport. Thanks for making my visit easier, and I'd be sure to come back again. Highly recommended.

We waited rather a long time at the airport to be collected - nearly half an hour even though we had emailed details of the arrival time of our flight. At the office we were dealt with by very welcoming, friendly and helpful staff. We outlined our trip and the knowledgeable member of staff marked a map with a string of good things to see. We were also give a fuel discount card which we used. We hired a Toyota Yaris which seem to have a dent on every panel, which was surprising for a hire car. The car was relatively cheap to hire (given Iceland prices) and cheap to run. Unfortunately it was a bit under-powered and struggled up many of the hills. It seemed like a 1100cc car not a 1400cc, which would have been better. We had an early flight back and arrived early to the office. The staff were quick and efficient and we were delivered back to the airport in good time.

Just got back from driving the ring road and had a truly wonderful trip. This is in no small part due to our car rental. Orange were fantastic. They met us at the airport and had us all sorted out and on the road with no fuss and in very little time. We rented a Dacia Logan, which was the perfect car for the trip. We camped and it had a cavernous boot, which swallowed all the camping gear for a family of four with loads of room to spare. The car was amazing on fuel consumption, averaging 5l per 100km, which means you can complete the ring road on 2 tanks of gas if you wanted. We did various side trips so used a little over, but with the price of diesel and petrol, this is something to bear in mind.
When we got to drop the car off this was again effortless and we were back at the airport in no time once more. Highly recommendedresponse / report this review -

The office is located offsite, but a short 5 minute drive from the airport. Their staff drove us to/from the lot in a shuttle van. While they did offer insurance, I had no problems declining it as was mentioned in other reviews. Rates were more affordable than some of the big name companies, and the SUV was new, clean, and worked fine. No issues, friendly staff, would absolutely rent from this company again.

A great rental company with the cheapest prices I've seen for small cars. They offer a pickup service, but make sure your flight number is forwarded to Orange Car Rental. Our flight number wasn't forwarded over and we had to wait an hour at the airport before being picked up. The representative that dealt with us was very helpful in highlighting sites to see in Iceland and the best routes to take for scenic views. Drop off was a breeze and they offer a lift to the airport as well.

Fantastic company to rent from. Car was super affordable compared to some of the other rental companies. We were picked up from the airport and shuttled to the location for check-in. Only took a few minutes (during which they warmed the car up for us) and also provided a gas discount card for Olis (VERY GREAT TO HAVE!) Drop-off was also a breeze. Highly recommend!

Fantastic service. Picked up from Airport, two minute drive to their office, fast, friendly staff who sorted out the paperwork very quickly. They upgraded my car, which was excellent. Provided plenty of ideas on where to go and what to avoid. Brought car back at the end of our stay and they dropped us back to the Airport.

We booked a car for our 3 day stay in Iceland. Car pickup was all right, and the car was in good condition. At least it looked to be. The car got broken, probably a small stone making a small hole in car radiator. Hard to say if it happened to us, or it was done earlier and the hole appeared just now. The car needed towing. If you think you paid for full insurance cover, ask if towing is included. At Iceland it usually is not! It was not included in my "full cover" insurance. We got charged 2400 EUR!!! They charge each kilometre tow car makes. From its garage, up to car hire return place, and back to garage of towing car.
Be careful! Car hire business in Iceland seams to me cheating business. They find each possibility to rip you off. It is usually all right, if nothing happensresponse / report this review
