Great friendly service. There was a chip in the windscreen which we didn't notice when we picked up the car and wasn't on the damage report in the contract we signed. When we returned with the car and said the chip wasn't something we had caused, they reviewed their records and agreed it was an old chip and not something we had caused. Very honest of them as they could have easily charged us for it as we had no proof we hadn't caused it. Overall cars were in a good condition and i would thoroughly recommend them, Best rental company i have used by far.

The customer service from lagoon car rental wad fantastic. I had problems with my flight and had to reach out to them by email. They returned my email promptly and talked me through a solution to our situation. In the end they were able to totally satisfy us. A great service with a personal touch.

This car rental company was the one of the easiest to work with. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It was really affordable and the cars are kept in tip top shape. I highly recommend anyone traveling to Iceland to use this rental company.

We had a great pick up and the car was what we expected. Yet, drop off was far from acceptable. We waited way too long for someone to even be at the location and still we waited for the shuttle to arrive so beware of time. Otherwise great value for money

Great place to rent in Iceland. I had a really nice car for a great rate. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Checking the car back in was really quick but that may have been because it was in November.

Cheap and have good cars. They are not located at the airport but they have a bus that will come and pick you up. Everyone speak English and are very nice. They keep their paperwork easy and fast, very efficient at the front desk. The cars are just want you need for getting around. Good 4x4 for the f roads.

I discovered Lagoon Car Rental via a search engine. After visiting their nicely laid out site, I booked a vehicle. This process was very easy and straight forward. From there, I picked up the car and the agent I dealt with was extremely helpful. I also needed to change my reservation during my trip and contacted customer service and they were as equally helpful and pleasant to work with. Finally, the drop was simple and easy which topped off a overall great experience. They are a small, family business who does it right and treats their customers very well. I cannot recommend this company more!

Excellent car rental place. We rented twice from them - once a Kia SUV (surprisingly good, given the KIA reputation in US), and once a Peugeot. Both times the pickup from the airport was on time. They will drive you from / to the airport, and they are 5 minutes drive. The cars were new, well maintained, and clean. For the winter rental they offer winter tires. Easy check-out. Friendly staff, no "push of insurance" or other services.

Our first rental through Lagoon went very well. We had to find them inside the airport for our shuttle, which was a little confusing because there are a ton of shuttle services. The staff inside was great. The car was good shape with the existing scratches and small dents well marked on the agreement. Make sure to double check! Iceland’s weather and geography make for easy dings and scratches. We choose to use our credit cards insurance instead of Lagoon’s. Which I might not do again, despite the fact we incurred no damage. Weather is serious in Iceland just as the blogs and the locals say. Drop off was simple and quick and the ride back to the airport was fast. My only real suggestion is to read up on road signs and pay special attention to the blue signs with digital readouts of wind direction, speed and gusts.

Staff was very helpful and met us right where they said they would! The van worked like a dream and we even took a risk and went over to the West Fjords for a bit (it was pretty dry when we visited in June), it was AMAZING!

They were fantastic. Super friendly and helpful getting us on our way. There were no hidden charges or up-sells which we had heard horror stories of about other place. If we ever come back to Iceland we'll definitely rent from here!

We had an amazing experience with Lagoon Car Rentals. We had a week long reservation for driving the Ring road and Golden circle. Our original rental had an issue with the charging port and they went above and beyond to fix the issue for us. We also accidentally left something in the rental car and they happily worked with us to get it shipped to us.

Good pricing, walked around to check out their cars, and they are all in great condition, busy place, no problems. One hour wait time to at the arrival Hall for shuttle from airport, but returning to airport was much quicker (5min) wait. They are working on addition office as of may 23, 2017. Should be a lot quicker in the future. Would recommend to others.

Loved my experience with lagoon! Everything was very well communicated, no hidden fees/overcharges and amazing employees! I was stuck on how to assess the vehicle at the city location and the employee was kind enough to inspect the vehicle on my behalf. Thank you for the lovely service, and hope to rent a car again soon for my next visit!

Affordable car rentals in Iceland. They are not located at the airport but at a small town Keflavik nearby. They run 24/7 and they will pick you and your companions from the airport to their shop, and will send Ya'll back to the airport at the end of your rental as well. The cars are fairly new - I rented a Forrester - but you have to buy additional insurance for gravel protection over there in the shop as you'll realise the cars have dents and scratches from the small stones that hit your car when driving in Iceland. Free coffee in the shop as well - it's pretty chilly outside!

We rented a Suzuki Jimny and it turned out to have very bad wipers, which made it very difficult to drive in rainy weather. Additionaly, the liquid to clean the windshield was empty from the beginning, which made the problem with the wipers even worse. Picking up and returning the car were not better: in the first case we were asked to go outside and check out the car on our own, and after that they just gave us the keys without explaining anything about the car (which fuel to use, options about filling it up upon returning it, instructions about the traction system since we found out later that the car could be driven as 2WD or 4WD, etc). When we returned it there was one memeber of the staff: when we gave him back the documents and the keys he didn't say anything, he kept chewing his gum and then left without saying anything. Turned out he went outside to check the car. To conclude, the staff was unprofessional and not welcoming. I think the next time in Iceland I will try another car rental company.

We've had great experiences renting from this relatively new, family-run business on our last 2 trips to Iceland. The staff are responsive via email and extremely friendly and accommodating in person. The cars are in good condition and are a great value compared to other companies. The only downside is that it's a short shuttle-bus ride away from the airport. Will definitely rent from them again when we return to Iceland this year.
