My family and I rented a motorhome for 4 days throughCampervan Iceland (Geysir Rentals) and had the best experience; May 2018! The staff were beyond friendly and helpful every step of the way. The free shuttle service to and from the airport was prompt and enjoyable. The motorhome we rented was clean, great on fuel and easy to drive. It came fully equipped with GPS, wifi, new bedding, and all necessary kitchen supplies. Using a motorhome to tour Iceland was absolutely amazing and we saved a lot of money as eating out there is very expensive. The weather was perfect and it wasn’t quite tourist season so there was plenty of campsites available (we never booked ahead). The first night we parked and slept in a Bonus (grocery store) parking lot then loaded up on food for the trip in the morning. I would highly recommend touring Iceland in a motorhome and using this company for your rental! Great customer service! Great motorhome! Stunning country!

From the moment we booked the camper with Motorhome Iceland (6 months in advance), they answered all of my questions very quickly (always less than 24 hours). They gave us an excellent car (Nissan, I think it was 2017 model). There were no side and rear windows, which helped us sleep great. The car bed turned into a sofa. The car independent heater worked great. Highly recommended

I would highly recommend Campervan Iceland. The car had everything i needed, from studded tires for the winter time, to a heater, WiFi, sleeping bags, a cooler, water jug, cooking supplies and utensils. I felt liberated to truly travel the country with no concerns.

I had a great rental experience with Campervan Iceland. My van was in a great working condition, I never had any issues with it, and it was extremely comfortable. I had a Campervan Play for 6 nights just for myself and it was perfect. Before I left for my trip in February I reached out to them as I was having trouble finding campgrounds that would be open in the winter and they responded with great resources. The one thing I will say is get gravel insurance. They don't look at rock/paint chips as normal wear and tear so it's a must to have this coverage so you're not on the hook for a deductible or repairs. I didn't plan on driving any gravel roads but I found myself on a few here and there. Not to mention, there's gravel everywhere.
I would HIGHLY recommend using Campervan Iceland and if I return, I'll definitely use them again.response / report this review -

The start to our trip to Iceland was rough. We had spent a substantial amount of time at the airport terminal, and were exhausted on the bus ride to the Campervan pickup location in Reykjavik. By the time we received our campervan, the clutch had stalled immediately after leaving the car lot. The employees answered our phone call, and picked us up to bring us back to the main office. They then accommodated our trip by giving us an automatic vehicle (instead of the manual vehicle we paid for) because we were concerned about our safety on the road with a manual vehicle. After a long night of searching for a place to stay overnight w/ the campervan, my partner and I realized that it would’ve been difficult for us to have the campervan during our stay on the island. We drove back to the main office and talked to them (again) about our concerns. To our surprise, they told us just to pay for one night with the van rental and that they’ll be refunding us the remainder of our money. They even called us a taxi to have us dropped off at the best hostel in town. We were blown away. We felt incredibly blessed to have been given such great accommodations. We owe our entire trip to their hospitality. Thank you, Campervan of Iceland!

We had a fantastic time in our campervan from here!! My boyfriend and I booked the Campervan Play and at first was nervous it would be too small for two people, but after a week in it, I had zero complaints and was more than enough room for us. I couldn't recommend it more. Best way to travel throughout Iceland! Check in and out was super easy and everyone was very friendly!

They were very helpful and accommodating answering my questions and trying to change my reservation prior to arrival. Provided a great vehicle in great condition that allowed for a truly unique travel experience that I will remember forever. The staff was very kind and even let us keep our van for a few extra hours free of charge when we just weren’t ready to give it up! Would definitely recommend campervand iceland and will book with them again if I ever find myself back in Iceland!

One of the few rental campervan companies that that have automatic vehicle options, which is why we chose them. But beyond that, they were extremely easy to work with during check in and check out. We had no issues with the campervan we rented but that was to be expected because it was brand new. The van was extremely clean and had everything you'd need to camp in Iceland. Can't say enough great things about this company, will rent from the in the future if we find ourselves in Iceland again!

My girlfriend and I rented a Campervan Play with Campervan Iceland in August 2017 and would recommend it to anyone looking to visit Iceland. It's a fantastic way to visit Iceland and see all of it's natural beauty. The vans come well equipped with everything you need (assuming you are a somewhat seasoned camper and know how to 'rough it' a bit) to set up camp at any of the many campgrounds. We picked up and dropped off the vehicle at KEF and had 0 issues.
As a sidenote, I would recommend getting the FULL insurance package. On our way to Jokularson we had a piece of gravel fly up and chip our windshield. The insurance covered the damage.response / report this review -

this is a MUST! my favorite part of our two week Iceland trip was the camper van! Everything from how clean the van was to how easy it was to pick up and drop off. My fiance and i rented the Campervan Play. It was perfect for our 3 day camp trip up to the North from Keflavik. We didn't get a chance to use the kitchen supplies as it was raining most of the time but it was nice to know that it was there if we wanted it. The heater in the back kept us warm all night and the bed/sleeping bags were comfy. The van came with WiFi which was a nice bonus. It was convenient that we were able to drop the van off at their Reykjavik office too. Instead of paying for tours i recommend you rent a camper van and explore Iceland yourself on your on time frame. there are so many crazy things you wont be able to stop and enjoy if you do tours your entire time in Iceland.

I rate your company and service a 5 out of 5. I was so pleased to have the help from the workers at your office and on the road. You all were so prompt and polite throughout the time we spoke and interacted. The process was quick enough in the office then went up and beyond what I expected. Thank you for making my trip a life long memory. Additionally, the van I rented couldn't have been better. I will absolyly recommend your company to those traveling in Iceland.

The campervan was a three seater across the front. Easy to drive vehicle. İn the back the slim table folded down, with cousins laid onto after this. Three sleeping bags and pillows were great for two people. Be careful not to run the battery out with some all of the procedures for the heater fan in the back. What a great that is too - heater vent/fan for drying off clothes. Rotate clothes and always stay dry. Propane tanks, table, plastic ware awesome deal!!response / report this review -

Best trip ever! Our campervan from CampEasy was so convenient. Most of our driving was on the Ring Road ( two lane and straight). We were able to drive right up to most sights. Camping was simple (mostly dry) and reservations were not necessary. All had bathrooms and showers. All were in fabulous picturesque places. We highly recommend traveling this way in Iceland.

When you booked with campervan iceland, you booked with GO Iceland but everything was prefect, the van was super clean and worked very well. Everything that you need is inside. We took gravel protection insurance and it's essential in Iceland. We recommend.

When you decide to travel and rent in advance there is always room for expectations that can or cannot be reached.
Our experience was very nice. We got the campervan as expected, it had everything we needed and it was offered, and we travelled 1000 kilometers without any trouble, and as planned.
No surprises, so our energy was focused in enjoying the trip, and that was the way it was.response / report this review -

Touring Iceland by camper is as amazing experience, but dealing with this particular company was terrible. There's some sort of shell game happening between Go Iceland and Campervan Iceland. Go Iceland is the company which deals with the face to face interaction but Camper can Iceland had the beautiful and deceiving website. I'm sure they've orchestrated this to try and keep reviews and all the promises made to customer at arms length, making it easier to blow them off. Do rent a campervan and drive the ring road, but avoid these "two" companies at all costs. Hidden B.S. fees, terrible customer service, no response unless you berate them.
