I love this resort. Any issue that we had was resolved quickly and professionally. The staff, especially those tending to the guests at the pools, bar, restaurants, custodial, and the front desk, WORK HARD!!! I appreciate what they do, because I know they may not always work with the easier guests or the most appreciative ones. I’ll def be back.

It's our second day here and so far it has been a great time. The buffets are delicious and the pool is so relaxing. There water spin class looks like fun also. We have more to explore but it looks like it will be an enjoyable time.

Came for Mother’s Day and my moms birthday. We’re having a great time in the pool and the beach is beautiful. Breakfast is good. Stay at the Adults Only resort; I wish the other restaurants were at this location but they are only a short ride away. The staff are mostly friendly and helpful.

I'm having a great RELAXATION time at the Barcelo. The staff is great!! The only thing that is missing is party time.They need more party time. Need more young people. Not many black people. If your looking for couples and older Caucasian people then this is the place for you. If your single and looking to mingle there is not many options. Food is great but you can't wear a cover up to the buffet you have to be fully clothed. Great times just wanted to party m.

This place is absolutely stunning!! Only drawbacks are that you cannot spend american money on this resort. It's credit cards only. Other draw back is no swim up bar. I loved my time here! The views are breathtaking and the service is pretty great!! Will for sure recommend to my family and friends!! I will be back!

Amazing experience. My husband and I celebrated our 25th anniversary here with 2 other couples. The people are so friendly, the room was very nice, and the pool fantastic! A shout out to Luis who checked our bags! Very nice individual. I wanted him to check us out when we left and he wasn't scheduled to work, but he did it anyway. That man needs a promotion!

I loved the size of this resort, it made it easy to find our group. The rooms are a little run down and the buffet is just okay food but the beach and pool are amazing. I also liked that you could walk down to the palace if you wanted more to do.

I found it strange that there wasn't a swim up bar or a hot tub but otherwise I loved my trip!

Been here for three days and this place has been great. The food is good at the buffets and the staff is top notch. The entertainment at night had been a wonderful addition. Miguel and the crew go out of their way to make sure you are having a good time. During the day activities at the pool and at night dancing.

Just returned from the Barceló Bávaro Beach. A great relaxing week. A couple things: windy from the off-season, curtains didn't close, the tour helicopters were making too much noise and no warning to NOT using sink to brush my teeth never mind. The staff: excellent. Food: excellent. We'll find back this way again.

The only reason for the 2 stars is because of the great food at one of the restaurants - La Briza. Most of the wait staff cannot speak English, so it is very difficult to communicate with them. The food in the other major restaurant - Caribe - was bland. The room smelled of mildew and we had blood stains on our linen.

We will likely visit DR again, but not this property.

AWESOME VACATION.. 9/Sept 2017

Great service upon arrival and throughout the entire 8 days. Quick check in and check out. Room was simple, clean & comfortable with all toiletries provided. Close proximity to everything on compound.
Access to the Palace hotel pools an restaurants. If u don't want to walk from Adults to Palace, there is a regular train shuttle. Wide variety of food, drinks an desserts..must make mention to Maribel (waitress) at d Coral seafood restaurant. Very bubbly an helpful.
Lots to do at the beach. hats of to Jorge( pleasant young man). Calm, clear uncrowded beach. Just amazing.. Lots of clean, spacious pools, including a swim up bar. Fantastic. Nightly entertainment shows which was fun. Overall my wife and I had a wonderful time and would return..
NOTE: If u have to book any tours, please DON'T book with BD Travel. We did couple of tours with them, but it was not what it described to us. This was our only disappointment..

My wife and I stayed from 9/16/to the 23rd (yes during Hurricane Maria), they did provide us with a safer room location to ride out the hurricane and for that we thank them.All in all we had a very niece stay (even with the Hurricane) but a few tips for anyone heading down in the future are as follows. (Defiantly spring for the Premium Level, the little extras was worth it). We had a King Ocean View room, very nice view, but the AC in the room was at best just OK, I made 3 calls calls over 5 days and not until the last 2 day was it cooling the room but more importantly reducing the humidly, The Jacuzzi would work one day and not the next. Its hard to find anyone who speaks/understands English fluently so their is a language barrier. The Buffet at the family part of the resort beats out the two in the adult section. The la cart restaurants were nice and had good food. Buy one of their large thermal mugs (gift shop $15), it save you from constantly having to order the 8 oz cups of what ever you decide to drink. lastly if you a cigar smoker get them off site, they are outrageously priced at there on site cigar shops.

Absolutely LOVED our stay here. The resort was gorgeous, clean, and the staff was friendly and very helpful and engaging.

The all inclusive meant you could easily stay without spending any extra money other than tips. 2 buffet style restaurants on the adults only side and 3 more on the family side, plus an additional 7 or 8 restaurants that required a reservation (only 2 of those had a nominal extra charge).

No need to exchange US dollars, but bring plenty $1 and $5 bills for tips. The average monthly wage in the DR is $350/ month, so please tip your bartender or waitress a dollar or two as they hustle around to make sure you are taken care of. Same for the housekeeping staff and luggage carriers/drivers.

Our room was right on the beach. Our house keepers were so sweet as were almost all the workers we encountered during our entire stay. The food was excellent the beach was nice and usually very clean. We felt safe and cared for the entire time. We will be back at some point in the future.

I had to write a review because in no way is this a near five-star resort experience. Although the resort was very clean, the rooms were nice, and the weather was perfect, we would not return. The food was absolutely sub-par by any standard, and the drinks were worse. If you're going, definitely make reservations ahead of time; the Japanese restaurant is the best. Service was average at best - bartenders snub women and people who don't have premium wristbands. The language barrier is a problem - most people who work there can only speak Spanish.

The resort itself is beautiful, the food was good. I would have given it 5 stars but had an issue. I am leaving today without souvenirs and not sure if my credit card will be fixed. The $1000 resort credit wasn't discussed. So I assumed it wasn't valid. Other than check in, I did not see a value in getting the premium room. The gift shop disappointed me and billed my credit card 3 times for the same item then said it didn't go through and billed my room. I went back to dispute this after my credit card emailed me for possible fraud. The gift shop employees then said I was wrong, I fought it and they researched it further and agreed I was correct. I spent over an hour dealing with this. They voided the room charge still waiting to see if my credit card is being fixed. The staff then offered 10% off if I wanted to make an additional purchases for the inconvenience. When I went back to get additional items they said they couldn't give the discount because they did not leave a note. So I thought I was leaving without souvenirs I was going to purchase for my employees. I checked back at the gift shop and Rahul and team to the rescue. I gained my faith back and changed my review from 3 to 5 The resort itself is beautiful, the margaritas were great and the food was good.

Loved it. You are treated like royalty when you are here. If you go with the Premium Club all-inclusive you have access to the 7 restaurants. The buffet is out-of-control good! Lobster, freshly prepared seafood and steaks cooked to order with towers of fresh baked good, fruits and vegetables. You will gain weight here. And walking to any of the pool areas and everywhere throughout the resort, all drinks are included. Make sure to get yourself some Mamajuana and enjoy poolside or on the beautiful beaches. Security is great, non-guest are not allowed on the resort and security patrol posted where the public and private beach meet. Our beachfront view was stellar. I can't say enough good things about Barcelo Bavaro Adults Onlyif you are on the fence about going, just do it, it is by far one of the best places in all of the caribbean.

We spent 10 days in Barcelo Bavaro Beach resort and can tell you that can't wait to come back.

Very quiet place to spent time for only two of us plus one of the best beaches.
Resort and rooms were cleaned and well maintained.
Food was good in buffet with addition of about 8 restaurants for dinner.
Small issues were resolved immediately.

I though I could not be impressed on vacation after haven travelled most of the world, but I was wrong!

I enjoyed every day I passed at this resort.

First, it's extremely clean and well kept.

Nice vegetation, plants and grass everywhere.

Secondly the beach is beautiful, white sand and green to clear water.

I found the food very good.

There is a sports bar where you can watch sports and basically order anythjing you want.for free! With service.

The rooms were not luxurious, but nice with powerful AC and a nice balcony.

Nightclub is world class and serves good strong drinks.

Nice shopping center and good restaurants.

Only thing I did not like is slow service in the restaurants and the staff at the casino were rude (they are not employed by the resort).

Can't wait to come back in March.

So close of the airport also.

This was our second of three resorts in the Dominican and we loved it. Check-in went very smoothly and quickly. The food was great. They had many restaurant options for dinner which we really enjoyed. The rooms and the resort in general we're clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. Overall we had a great experience and would definitely go back!

AMAZING!!! Just got back last week and I'm planning my next trip! Went for my 20th anniversary and it was PERFECT! The staff were all wonderful so helpful and friendly , especially Bertha one of the sweetest ladies I've ever met, she kept us well stocked with drinks and snacks and anything we needed!! The pool and beach area was so clean and well manicured , everything was beyond my expectations I can't say enough good things about my experience at this adult only resort, it was truly paradise and I will be going back! Oh the food was great also!!! AMAZING trip with my husband to celebrate our anniversary Thank you to the entire staff for such wonderful service and all the extras you guys do!!
