The Be Live resort is nice, but when I got there the check in process took 2hrs. When I got to the room it had hair and makeup they did not even clean the rooms. I was not the only one who complained about the rooms being filthy. I got switch to other room which was decent enough. The food was not that great at all. The workers don't even attend to guess I kept having to ask for things and calling the workers over, because they would straight Ignore me if I don't call to them. The beds that are on the beach will cost you $10 dollars a day, which I don't mind because it is very relaxing. The night life at the resort is GOOD!!!! Very entertaining!!!!!. Overall, my stay was okay not great. I would not recommend anyone to stay at this resort at all!!!!!!

the most disgusting hotel i have ever stayed in. The rooms looked worse than the cheapest of hostels abroad, and were just 4 single beds in a row. the room was filthy and there were stains on the sheets. you cannot eat the food because from other reviews you learn that they have been on food watch due to so many people getting ill. i was placed here for a one night stay after a flight cancellation by sun country and NEVER ever will i return. the doors didn’t lock, and the place is right next to the slums. very unsafe and insecure. the staff is super unhelpful and takes hours to do anything. the wifi wasn’t working when we were there with 200+ people trying to all book new flights, and they couldn’t seem to help us. They served us tap water in the restaurant after i specifically asked if it was bottled, which made me sick. never ever stay at the be livethey should call it the be dead because that’s what you’ll be after staying here.

I've made best friends with one of the Entertainment Staff called Champagne he looked after us all holiday and has been amazing,he's so lovely&great fun we will miss him when we leave!
The hotel has been fabulous,we were upgraded to a beautiful room and given VIP bands which have been a perfect bonus.
It's a gorgeous Resort and we will be back!

It was not like the pictures at all! The pool was dirty and the buildings need renovations or at least a new paint job. Most of bartender are not the friendliest so the drinks are done very mediocre. The rooms are paper thin walls so you can hear everything going on outside, and also not very clean especially the bathroom. The main buffet food is alright not too bad but we were really upset at the fact that the resort is suppose to have 7 other restaurant but they are by reservation only. When we went to go and try to book the reservations for our trip as we arrived there they told us that everything was booked for the next 2 days, so besides the buffet we only got to eat at 1 of the other 7 restaurant in our 3 night 4 days stay there. It just does not seem organized they should find a better scheduling so that everyone has equal opportunities to enjoy the other restaurants. The worst though is the staff around the lobby and the workers that try to sell you merchandise or excursions they are on top of you every time you pass by or even when you are just trying to relax on the beach. We just wanted to relax!! The only good part was the beach which is beautiful.

I just got back after a week here. I agree with other reviews that the check-in process was pretty lengthy and you need to take advantage of making restaurant reservations to avoid eating the buffet food 3x/day. Overall my group of 8 had tons of fun. My only complaint worth mentioning is the nightly music- during the day they played English/American music which was great, but every night was strictly Spanish music. I just wish there was some kind of mix so we could recognize a few songs and have more fun dancing.. especially considering we asked various staff members multiple nights for even one song to play.

The hotel is OK, The rooms are good.

The staff does not give the best costumer service experience, Of course not all of them but some of them would act in a lazy way and would make you feel like they are doing you a favor when absolutely everything is being paid for !

The food is good but the service at the restaurants is no good ! They take for ever to get you a soda or coffee the wine is BAD! the coffee machine does Not work all the time.

When people book a vacation package it is usually to celebrate something and look forward to have a great time, It is not to go some place and feel unwelcome by lazy staff who is NOT into costumer service and not very welcoming and not active.

The Gym staff is fine, the recreation team is actually good but the bars, concierge and restaurant staff could be definitely effective and better !

Their service is NOT free and it is their job to make the costumers have a great experience instead of having to struggle for a coffee or a soda.

Great location and decent hotel for the price. Lots of food options, always a spot on the beach. You can walk about 10 minutes down the beach and there are no hotels just beach. It was great. Entertainment was some of the best I've seen especially the Michael Jackson show. The performer that portrayed him was amazing.

Great time if you're looking for a tropical getaway. You do have to learn a few things in order to make the most of your time though:

    1. Food it's freshest when a restaurant first opens, the buffet and burger joint typically have food ready and waiting when you come in, so come in when it opens to make sure your burger hasn't sat out for an hour.

    2. Watch out for employees wearing tan shirts, they seem incredibly nice and want to offer you a "welcome gift" or the best food and drink. In actuality they are trying to lure you away to be pitched a 3 hour presentation about joining a time share. So unless you want to lose a quarter of your day, just tell them "no thanks".

    3. Many of the prices are negotiable on tours and trips, so be sure to ask for a better price. Also if purchasing from one of the sales people on the beach, you'll need cash, so hopefully you Bright enough.

Be Live Hotel is a really great place for holidays. As a couple, we loved our stay here (1 week). The swimming pools are beautiful. The workers are very kind. Rooms are not perfectly clean but we accepted it for the price. The food is really great, no worries about this even if some people say it is bad. The buffet is very nice and restaurants are fine. It is very relaxing to be there, the hotel is very pleasant with many activities.

Very good value for price over the peak Christmas season. Food good to occasionally excellent, with a good buffet. A la carte dining very good, especially Brazilian. Upgraded alcohol selection with VIP upgrade. Concierge/butler service spotty. Housekeeping excellent. Rooms/public areas a bit dated, but always clean. On resort tour operators/water sports providers excellent, especially Hector in the water sports center and Gene the Machine for land tours. VIP lounge/beach area very good, although the water is quite cloudy and choppy. Seaweed cleaned daily. Souvenir shopping within walking distance. Nightclub/casino better than average AI resort fare. Overall 7.5 out of 10.

Resort would be a five star if it weren't for the hotel staff members pushing you for a time share! Im sorry but 30minutes to an hour of my time isn't worth a tshirt its only our second day here and we have been approached by 7 different people already. aside from that the resort is really an amazing place to visit. Food and beaches are great. Entertainment staff does a great job keeping everyone busy. Also the resort does an amazing job keeping the adult section away from families with kids.

The hotel has a very nice view, the pools are nice, the food isn't bad, but the service overall is terrible! The staff including managers and everyone else are professional liars. Our check in was at 3 and we got our room at 6:30. I booked a junior suite and they wanted to give me a standard room. The restaurants are supposedly always full. They tell you that if you are VIP you have numerous benefits, well, it is a lie! Everyone who works there seems to be working without pay. They are so rude! If you are VIP you cannot enjoy the side of the beach that is standard, they make you pay! When you book you are supposed to get a bottle of champagne or other liquor, they did give it to everyone else but because they made us wait until 6:30 to give us our room, they claimed that we wouldn't receive it. They suck! They are the worst! I was stressed my entire stay. Don't even bother on booking with them!

Our experience at this resort was terrible. To start, it was very disorganized. We had to wait over an hour and a half to get our room past the time we were supposed to check in. Whenever there was a problem we had to go to the front desk to resolve it because when we would call the department we were supposed to, they would tell us it is not their problem. So, off to the front desk we go and we again had to wait in a long line and the majority of the time they would not help us either or follow up with us to make sure the problem was resolved. Each time we were there we overheard others who were experiencing similar problems, so we know it was not a rare occurrence. On top of the disorganization, we were harassed daily by "timeshare" personnel and those selling excursions. It got so bad that we had to avoid certain pathways in order to get around them. We also had countless problems with our room. It took us over 24 hours at one point to get more toilet paper after we ran out. Our toilet was clogged 6 out of the 10 days we were there due to no one officially fixing it. Every time someone would come to "fix" the toilet they left the bathroom a huge mess and the toilet still clogged. We had to call housekeeping each time to get someone to clean it up and even then we had to re-clean it ourselves because it was still visibly unclean. On top of the toilet problems, our AC was broken, and our bottled water did not get replaced unless we specifically asked for more. When we booked online we added add on's to our stay. But, when we talked to guest services about it, they did not know what we were talking about. We were also told that for our honeymoon we would get something special when we booked online. We did not. When we were getting ready to leave the resort, we had requested a bellhop to come help us carry our bags, but he never showed up. On top of it all, the pictures of the resort were deceiving. The beach they have blocked off was very mossy that it was not enjoyable to swim in and the pictures of the rooms were nothing like what they looked like. I would never recommend anyone to go here.

Gave it a 3 out of 5 but would have been a 2 out of 5 if we didn't get lucky. Most of the people who we got to know had broken AC or other things wrong with their rooms. The food was pretty bad overall, BUT the food that is cooked fresh is good. Entertainment is good, excursions are good and we really enjoyed them. But the actual BE LIVE hotel we did not like that much. We had a good time, nothing wrong with our room, but literally everyone else we came with had multiple problems.

Amazing hotel. was there with my friends for 6 nights. they have cool activities during the whole day, everyday. The entertainer are amazing. the only bad thing about this hotel is that they always try to sell you an upgrade and stuff, and way too persistent. Great stay overall.

I stayed here for two weeks and it was everything I hoped it would be. Staff was friendly and helpful, even when guests did not speak the language. The entertainment team specifically really made the resort fun and special for everyone, kids and adults. Magic Mike, Javier, Moses, flow, and Stephanie were great at making sure the guests had fun. There was always something fun to do, volleyball, dancing, themed parties, etc. the hospitality and vibe in general was great. Randy was great in the buffet. The bartenders were hilarious and nice, especially Ramon and Sergio. The restaurants and buffet were great, with enough options you'll definitely find something you like. Our room was always clean every day. The beach area was phenomenal, we made friends from surrounding resorts and they told us that our resort had the best beach area of them all. Overall we had an amazing time and would definitely go back!

After two weeks of being at this resort, I was not ready to leave. Everybody made me feel right at home and made sure I was having a great time. Specifically, Magic Mike was one of the most friendly, caring, and hardworking people I have ever met in my life and he made my trip so much better everyday. He is also an amazing dancer and his smile is very contagious. He felt like a true friend to me and I'm sure to everybody else as well. Flow, Spaghetti, and the rest of the entertainment group did just a phenomenal job everyday. I hope we will be back soon!

I enjoyed my stay here and my wife agrees. The only things that I didn't like is that the pillows smelled like a bunch of people's sweat has rested in the pillow and was never changed, and people at the resort and on the beach are constantly trying to sell you something. The first day it was OK, the second day it was starting to get annoying, but the third day we were ready to leave.

We understand the country lives off the tourist who make purchases in their country but at this placed it was a little far fetched. However, everyone was friendly, very nice, it was fun and relaxing when we could relax. It would be a 5 star for us if it was for the selling and pillow thing.

I wanted to love it, but I hated it. The biggest scam I've ever experienced.

We visited Be Live for a close friend's wedding. The resort was marketed as an all-inclusive experience, which is extremely far from the truth.

When we checked in, which involved waiting in a very long line, we were pitched the VIP upgrade. This cost $100 extra per night and, in retrospect, is what we should have done. We did not, as we felt the $300 per night we were already paying should afford a nice experience. This was extremely far from the truth.

From checking in, we were taken to a room that was not fully painted, with old pillows and draperies, which more closely resembled a budget motel than a resort. I've actually stayed in motels with fewer broken appliances and stains than this. This first room we were shown was not what we booked as we reserved a king bed, and the room had two double beds. We asked the front desk assistant (who had seen us turn down help from the bell hop carrying our bags and followed us to the room looking for a tip) for the correct room. He said he would "take care of you if you take care of me" and left for ten minutes. When he returned, he brought us to a new room with a king-sized bed. We tipped him. The room we ended up with was disgusting.

The room reservation we made stated that we would have:
-private check in (we waited in a long line and then had to pay someone to give us a king bed)
-bottle of champagne (nope. There were some cum stained pillows waiting on our bed)
-pillow menu (the phone in the room did not work, and when we walked to the front desk to ask for room service we were told they only had sandwiches, nothing else on the menu)

Here are some additional things that came included with our stay:
    -safe with no lock
    -broken cabinet
    -lamp with no lamp shade
    -broken fan
    -unfinished bathroom
    -pillows with cum stains
-loud club music from the pool starting at 8:00 am each morning and going until midnight each night
    -partially painted bed
-constant yelling in the hallway outside our room (staff and guests)
-endlessly crowded buffet (which did have some vegetables to eat so I am grateful for that)
    -wine that tastes like vinegar
-three "all included" restaurants with a constant wait, overcooked food and rude waiters
-truly tasteless, insulting food (after waiting two hours for "nachos" at the Mexican restaurant we were given 10 chips each with a sprinkling of cheese and 3 dime sized cubes of diced chicken - for my friend's rehearsal dinner).

After 4 nights of little sleep and 4 days of waiting in line for disappointing food and drink, we gave in and purchased a day upgrade to VIP. This was great. We finally got that bottle of champagne our standard reservation promised, along with massages and a spot at the VIP pool. I realized the photos on the website are all from this area of the resort, and to get an actual all included experience, that includes paying much more $$ than advertised. Upon check out we did not recieve the advertised 15% spa discount. We asked the front desk for a receipt when we were checking out, as the amount they charged was incorrect, and they were unable to produce an itemized receipt. Jean S. the man who checked us in, and out, just kept writing down the incorrect amount we’d been charged on a piece of paper and saying that “his system says”. We plan to contact our credit card company and contest the charges.

What was marketed, was not delivered, and we did not receive $300/day in value by any stretch of the imagination. The experience was a huge scam.

Terrible service from the entire staff. Whether it be the servers at the restaurants (which pretty much all consisted of pretty terrible food), or the front desk staff, none were very welcoming or accommodating. We were charged for just about anything that you could imagine, and even paid extra for a "VIP Pass". To sum it up, don't go here if you aren't a college student looking for a cheap week of watered down booze.

    P.S.

5 of the guys that I attended this trip with (including myself) were diagnosed with a bacterial stomach infection from either the water or poultry from this resort. I have never been so sick in my life. AVOID THIS TRIP AT ALL COSTS

Do you ever look at one of your possessions and think "man I wish someone would steal this!"? Do you ever have a bowel movement and say "wow what a thing of beauty, i wish i could look at this every time i went to the bathroom!"? Did you like the new Mad Max movie because the concept of having to do unspeakable things for clean drinking water excites you to your very core? If you said yes to any of those, Be Live is the place for you! It's the best 1,500 dollar case of food poisoning money can buy. And the data plan is great! Not! It sucks! My mother went crazy wondering about my well being! I'm serious! She's in the looney bin as we speak! So for my mothers sake do yourself a favor and build a hut on the beach and stock up on flaming hots at the duty free store at the airport. You'll have a much better experience.
But in all seriousness have any of you seen my monkey?

Hands down the worst hotel experience I've ever had. We paid an exorbitant amount of money for a "seaside view" and ended up looking out into a boat junkyard for the week. The check in and check out processes couldn't have been more cumbersome and stressful, the majority of the staff we encountered was extremely rude and and unaccommodating, our room didn't get cleaned one day, we had to replace our room keys at least 4 times, and the hotel tries to nickel and dime you over fine print type of things at every corner. They love to flaunt their 4.6/5 rating, but that's like putting a C+ test on your refrigerator when it should've been a D- to begin with. DONT GO! PLEASE! Oh and also the casino is extra rigged. I flipped a 17 and an 18 and the dealer busted and still took my chips and said I lost. Do yourself a favor, stay in the states and take your family to the great wolf lodge or something.

I would give this hotel a negative star if I could. We arrived at 5:30 pm, and our room wasn't ready. In fact no rooms where ready for anyone on our bus. We waited approximately 3 hours to get a room. When we finally got it, we noticed that the door jamb looked like it had been kicked in before. The bathtub had mold and hair in it. The railing in the stairwell was extremely loose and missing some bars. The restaurant staff were quite rude, you had to actively seek one of them out to even get a glass of water. The hotel itself is run down and overflowing with people trying to sell you things. This is not the place to go if you want comfort.
