The rooms are lovely, beds comfy. The beachfront is lovely, and we never had a problem finding lounge chairs. Same for the giant pool. Drinks are strong, service is excellent. The restaurants we tried were very good. The buffet has a very large selection of foods. Everyone can find something they like. There was live entertainment in the evenings which was really nice. We got a great package deal including flight, and would absolutely return.

Overall, GREAT resort. Felt extremely comfortable with the accommodations and the look of the resort (especially the main lobby & bar). Mike's Coffee is a MUST VISIT. Perfect spot with a great atmosphere to unwind while enjoying some world-class, specialty coffee. Overall, the quality of the food and the portion sizes were great at all the restaurants. Drinks kept flowing (especially if you leave an occasional $1-2 tip).

Cons: reception staff were a little unfriendly. Not a huge deal since you only deal with them at check-in and check-out. All other staff were amazing. Beach Beds are only for "privileged" guests, but we were able to sneak in when it was empty to relax and take some pics. They also tried to get us to sit in on a 60 minute seminar. The Conversation got a little awkward after we rejected it, but they never asked us about it afterwards

Clean grounds & pool. Great entertainment. Lots of food options, food was great. Rooms not updated but I hear they are updating. Not enough huts on the beach people would Reserve chairs the night before. Limited food service, towels.

Although the beach was beautiful, very serious security breaches are happening on a daily basis. During our stay April 23 to May 30, 2018 we were advised that there were many guests being robbed while on excursions. Hotel staff did NOTHING for these unfortunate people.Toilets in public areas were not flushing as well as some of the rooms. It took 4 days to fix our friends toilet and AC. The most serious was having one of our friends accidentally leaving her passport with their "Bank "Rep" to exchange money. She didn't notice until 2 days later. No one had attempted to notify her for 24 hours to return her passport. When she went to the front desk to inquire - it took them 2 hours to return it. So, basically it was already compromised. I would not recommend this resort for that reason alone. Paying over $1500 for 1 week was not worth the anxiety we felt each day.

The hotel is nice, but a little basic. The food is fantastic and with a ton of options. I would recommend the hotel, but not it you have little kids. The "pool table/ bowling alley" is kind of a dump. The shows are all dancing and the pool area has nothing for kids to do. The main issue I had was the TIME SHARE FROM HELL. Please, keep away from these people. They trick you with a promise of a welcome gift. The gift is a loss of 3 hours of your vacation. Just say no and run. Once you do, expect to be treated poorly. Tip the wait staff and get treated awesome! The loss of a star is due to the Time Share experience.

We spent a relaxing week here. Great rooms, great beach, great food and great staff. Angiola in the Tortuga restaurant was FANTASTIC! Always had a table for us at breakfast and mimosas ready. Wonderful vacation!

This is the best place to stay!!! All the staff were friendly, food choices we great and the variety was excellent. Unlike other resorts the "privilege upgrade" was not overbearing and did not take up the whole beach. There were tons of places to either sit or lay in both shaded areas and in the sun and you didn't need to be up at 4AM to claim a spot. The resort is very well maintained and extremely clean. We were there for 4 days and a work trip but could have stayed forever!! Best trip destination!!

I have stayed at Ocean Blue & Sands for a week as a solo. My expectations from holiday are quite high as so didn't expect much but was nicely surprised. I had one sad incident on my first night when my sunglasses went missing from my luggage while I was dinning. I reported it in the morning and was told security will investigate. Somebody brought them back the next day and from that day everything went better and better.
I came to the resort as all inclusive and became a member on third day and was treated very well.
The staff are friendly, food tasty in different restaurants, my favourite is the steak house and American dinner.
Daily activities around the pool make the day so enjoyable. Love salsa dancing and aerobics classes. The foam pool party was fun.
Cocktails are good at different bars.
I have enjoyed my stay and met some great people. I am leaving with great memories and recommend the resort to anybody that wants to spend great holiday and have fun.

I stayed at Ocean Blue & Sand for a week in November 2017. Generally I enjoyed my stay there but there are a couple of areas where they could improve. Their collection of paddle boards, windsurfers and hobby cat are in poor shape and there was always an excuse why they couldn't be used; Too windy, not enough wind an hour later etc. Secondly they have several restaurants but it seemed that on different nights different ones were closed. Sometimes we went from restaurant to restaurant as the wait times were 1 to 2 hours. My room was nice and quiet being on the 3rd floor and not facing the pool area. Maid service was good and room cleaned well every day. I did some scuba diving while I was there, very good value and Dave, Lois & Roberto who work at the dive center were excellent! This is a large resort with lots of vacationers and many families. Repair work after the hurricane was being done while we were there which was slightly inconvenient but I understand that this is necessary. I would give them a 8 out of 10 rating.

One of the worst trip we made.
Pathetic service in Ocean Blue resort Half of the 6 restaurant close most of the days, employees drinking alcohol during work and robbing table to customer at buffet.
Poor quality of restaurants except steak house one.
Harassment of all employees to buy « H10 premium » card quite all days.
And poor standing of the rooms And dirty beach not cleaned every morning

Avoid this hotel !

Absolutely beautiful grounds. Tram stops every so often for those with mobility issues (or if you just want to ride) to get around the resort. Very welcoming & accommodating staff however, if you have an issue (our Jacuzzi jets in our bathtub Never worked the whole time we were there- 7 days), don't expect a satisfactory response unless you intend to get irate (We did not create a sceneothers did) Food was fabulous, restaurants featured some items that could be found on the buffet & some not the entertainment was wonderful, my personal favorite was the piano bar. Oh! We didn't know this, but if you bring one of those big insulated cups, the bartenders make your drinks in them! & it is worth your while to upgrade to "privilege" status if you like top shelf liquor & want access to a computer or reservations for the restaurants during your stay it's like VIP & yes, we did that!

From the very first moment of entry into the hotel I was very pleased. The staff personnel is extremely friendly and helpful. The amenities are great and the interaction of the hotel staff is excellent and enlightening. The only drawback I have is the restaurant hours. Opening at 6pm is a bit late. I rate ocean blue and sands 4.5

I was here for a wedding and spent several days relaxing before the wedding. I enjoyed my time here. Everything was inclusive and I never felt pressured into tipping. The entire time I was there was just stress free. The room was huge and clean, A/C was on. Only two complaints: wifi is spotty and one of the girls in my group got hit on by one of their workers. He asked her if she ever been with a black man. Yeah, inappropriate. I didn't get hit on by anyone unfortunately. Everything else was great. Food was great. I love their breakfast. Plenty of options. Their fresh fruit juice is amazing. Only bad thing really is the burgers. The patty doesn't taste like beef. It doesn't have beef texture. I don't know what it is but stay away from it. I didn't get sick from the food. Ocean Blue & Sand gifted the wedding a cocktail hour and lobster dinner. I thought that was pretty cool. Overall, I enjoyed my time here and would come back.

Very friendly staff, Enrique and especially Omar made sure my stay was outstanding. The only thing about the resort I didn't care for was the pool closing at 7PM. As pale as I am, after 7 with the sun down would have been great for me. The restaurants and buffet food was excellent. Rooms were cleaned and in good condition.

My sister and I just got back from OB&SR (5105)and we thoroughly enjoyed the resort from Reception to the Front lounge (Rosa Lidia), to the waiters and up to Margarita our pleasant lady that made our room up daily. We especially enjoyed your dance group, Danny, Superman, William and of course, Stephanie. What a group! I even took dancing lessons daily and enjoyed that as well. The entire resort was spotless, the pool extremely clean, the beach etc. The food was good at every restaurant and your staff is second to none in all the above-mentioned places we spent time in. We will recommend this resort to other people for sure anytime. Being seniors we were surprised that your staff even paid any notice to us but they really included us in everything and that was nice. Thanks to all!

Not impressive. All inclusive, but very mediocre quality. The rooms need some TLC. My family and I wanted to go fishing and were sent on a trip to the middle of the ocean where my wife wife and 2 teen age sons got very sick.They only recommend trips that are connected to the hotel.

Very nice experience staying here! Very family friendly and easy access to the beach and pool. Staff was very generous and made us feel like family. Heavy flow of alcohol was a little uncomfortable but other than that, my family really enjoyed our stay and hope to come again!

So, this place is pretty great! Just, if they try to sell you some travelers package, say no right away. What was supposed to be a VIP breakfast and sales pitch turned into 2 hours of us politely refusing. Once we were firm that we weren't interested, that particular sales crew cold shouldered us pretty hard. The rest of the staff was fine. Food is great. They sell antibiotics in the gift store, FYI. Just in case you get a bug.

Rooms were big, some water issues in other rooms when it rained. Small beach area but does extend out passed beach front flea market. Great accommodations for kids. Bathrooms could be better cleaned. Food is ok but could use some imagination. Bartenders could use more training for bigger drink variety. Enjoyed my stay and would return after trying some other locations.
