This place is not good. Very old rooms. When we checked in we found some worms on out beds. They told us its from the wooden furnitutr in the room. That's not acceptable

Great pool. Helpful staff. A bit shabby chic, but it is Cuba. Location is good for fans of artist Jose Fuster. Food was good.

We LOVED this place and are thinking of coming again. The staff were SO friendly and obliging, they were having fun working, which is a real change from a decade ago.
The food is plainly cooked (and overcooked sometimes) BUT since it's grown organically, it tastes wonderful. There were always a ton of choices and the ice cream and cakes were to die for.
We upgraded to the oceanfront superior rooms and started out on the ground floor but due to the sand dunes, our ocean view was blocked. We asked the next morning to change and we moved up a floor and got our view.
We were in the B building and A or C is closer to the ocean, so we'd recommend 2nd or 3rd floor in those buildings. The resort has a huge open air lobby and bar, the pool is great, very family friendly, a few dogs and cats around but super well behaved and well fed too.
OK, so there's some cosmetic things that might knock this down a rating - like no toilette paper in the public washrooms - so bring a roll. No big deal. Bring your own travel mug as the plastic cups fall over and are really small. Save the planet too.response / report this review -

If you read all those comments you should have a very good idea what to expect.We were there feb 9 to february 16 with no big expectations.
We went there for the beach and sunshine and we did not want to spend too much going back to greece tthis summer (1300 for 2 tickets for tortuga was not bad)
If you spend more than that well you got ripped off..
There are some major issues here
1) room workers are no good I MEAN IT THEY JUST DONT CARE !! EVEN WITH OVER 35 DOLLARS IN GIFTS we did not get unknowleged the sheets in my room were never changed!!!room 3308 #3 building.

We marked the edge of bed sheets with an X . looks like they just re make the bed with old sheets yiak
The towels and sweaming pools dont smell chlorine (refused to get in) we bough 9 pairs of light towels from costco for 20 and we used those) and also a double bed sheet which we placed on top of theirs along with 2 pillow cases such a good move!!! Aircondition noisy..
There was a lizard inside the roomhides behind the headers of beds (i had read someone elses review he requested and moved)..did not care left lights and tv on..
You want no ants in the room??? Then dont eat in theresimple..
Food was simple i dont want to have rice eggs or spaggetti for the rest of my life lol
Drinks yes as everyone knowes are watered down..small place not a bad choice for those who know what to expect..Trip to Havana was good at 95 cuc each expensive and they did not give us seats together (valentines day ruined) to sit with my wife, !they were kind enought to had picked another pair without charging them!!!that young couple should not have seats together but us.
Oh dont drink their water fillup your own at the restaurant only place filtering the water bring your own coffee pots and for drinks as they use in some places small plastic cups for very hot coffee.!! Bed sheets pillow sheets coffee mugs and drink mugs is a must!! Leave your pride and attitute at home!! Or book elsewhere.
Have a good trip and remember I told you so😂

We say in Greece the "fish stinks from the head!"
There is no reason why the mattresses should not fit the beds!!! if the are longer just add another piece of plywood under the matress so many complains for just that!!!
2) inspect the work of the room cleaners
3)try getting cups for all areas where coffee is served not plastic !!..
4) provide the workers with chrorine to treat the pools
5) clean the beach!!! its a dissaster ask a couple people to rake the sand plastic cups cigarette buds etc
6)bring some entertainers not just one person talking for hours with no idea what he is saying because before that was heavily drinking at the bar.
7) find polite workers..do a better job hiring .

Coming here after the hotel nearby where we were on the 8 floor was a refreshment (after a day). The rooms we got had horrible beds. One touching ground when I sit on the edge in the middle. The other one is like a sand watch. If there is not much friction you would finish on the floor after few minutes looking at the slope from your head to your toes.
We asked to change a room and it was provided for us (one room changed the first day, second room a day after). No baby bed available. You have batteries missing for the air condition remote.
After solving the issue with the rooms vacation could continue.
I think any place in Cuba you'll be delighted with people who are friendly and want to help. Stuff in the buffet was nice. The diversity of food was good enough (even comparable with 4 star hotel we were staying at Cayo Coco - the quality was good but not that good).
There are few main remarks:
- the beach towels were said to be available to change anytime, we waited for 3 day to change them
- the plates and other dishes were not always clean as I would expect - example would be Christmas and New Year's dinner where only the top part of the plates were washed but not the bottom (most probably because previously collected and put on each other there were still remains of the food stuck on bottom after bringing them as clean). Bottled water was not something that you'll get but I can't say it was tap water since it tasted OK.
Considering Cuba in general, I think this is good ration what you pay for what you get.response / report this review -

Nice beach, the food is not good. There is not much around just another all-inclusive hotels. Woldn't spend here more than a few days on your trip to Cuba.
