I won't stay here again. Entertainment staff is great but front desk are less than desirably helpful. Food is .less than standard for all Inclusives in Cuba. If pork is the main staple in your diet you may have a different opinion but even then, not likely. Overall it was poor to mediocre
I had an amazing stay at Turquesa. It's perfect if you're looking for a really good quality/price hotel. It's not the biggest nor the most impressive all inclusive but that's what I loved about it. It's smaller, therefore brings people together and encourages socializing. It's a bit old and needs renovations but I saw people working on it during my stay in April. Nonetheless, my room was clean and fully functional. The staff was amazing and the food surprisingly good for an all inclusive in Cuba. I was also really impressed with the daily shows (dance, music, circus, etc) and the overall festive ambiance of the hotel.
For a small resort its kind of quaintthe food was goodthe bed was a bit uncomfortable.. A few rude workers but alot of super nice ones I tipped all the time and some appreciated it
Bed bugs, not realize until got bite all over. food ok, beach beautiful. most staff nice.wait until 4pm to check in.wait for 5hours.
Stinky room . This place needs some serious renovation. I know you are not expecting luxury but come on. You should at least have a good bed and also the room is very smelly. I was in room 363. Very very bad
Staff at the restaurant are friendly. Just there this one black b**ch at the reception. Very rude and her customer service sucks. I will not be coming to this resort ever and do not recommend. Hope you get fired.
Rooms are okayish, food is okay, beach is nice, my tip is once you get to know some staff (Buffet, Bar,. Etc) Give them a tip and they will start to bend over backwards for you (Water and coffee, always ready to go for you) Otherwise nice hotel but you get what you pay for
Lovely place. Obviously, one does not go to Cuba for the luxury. Don't expect it to have the luxury a Western hotel has. That said, there isn't such a friendly atmosphere within any Western country.
Be live Turquesa is a relatively small resort (a little over 250 rooms). This means there's some kind of peace over the entire resort. There are small houses containing 8 rooms per house. The animation in the evening is nice and (in most cases) has some good humor.
I can summarize this resort in a few words:
Cosiness, good food, 24/7 bar (!), salsa lessons and GUANTANAMERA!
Decent place. Good food. Beautiful beach! !!!The staff was very friendly and helful . One special 5/5 to the buffet's waitress Maray for the excellent service during our 7 days stay. We hope to come back soon!
It was absolutely great! We had really beautiful holiday. The food was the best, the room and the beach also. If the hurrican didn’t hit us it would be the best holiday ever..But the hotel can’t for it.So 5 stars!!!
Love this place. Perfect for young peoples.
Great beach, fantastic employee's, wonderful food, great service, tasty drinks, and very professional security. Going again in March.
VIVA LA CUBA.
Decent place. Bad rooms and old rooms. Food is sow sow. Impossible to try to eat in all the specialized restaurants, because you have to make a line. Special drinks are bad, worst pina colada I've ever tried. Will not come again.
Pros and cons
Very nice resort, beautiful beach, food was ok but no swim up bar, they don't stock your fridge only 1 water bottle when you arrive.
Would not go again
Musty rooms, mediocre food and limited daytime and nighttime activities. Also very poor internet. The beach however is stunning!
The hotel is really not worth trying , the personal is really rude , not helpful and not even easy going , travelling around the world I can say this was the worst service ever , no waiter in the beach for bar not even in the swimming pool , the lobby people are so rude and not helpful
Taxi driver take advantage or the tourist and the hotel work with them , the taxi that cost 4 dollars they make me pay 15 dollars to downtown
I asked for the way to go to Havana they lied and told me the only way to go is by the tour wich is 100 dollars one way , no other way
I ended up finding by my self that there is another bus for 20 and one for 10 even
The internet is horrible and expensive , u will be paying a pass for an hour for 1.5 dollar and it is very slow
The safe u need to pay 2 dollars for a safe each day so it is not uncluded
The food is average , quantity but no quality
The animation is dead , nothing to do at night no animation nothing
The drinks in the bar are average but u get bored of after few days
In total , with all my trip around there , worst hotel in South America
Avoid especially for the price
-STAY AWAY-
•no booking on arrival
•3pm check in only, seen people get cards whilst waiting in lobby before 3pm
•waited in long line at reception counter and was told cashier end only didn't serve me just pointed to a small wood sign saying check out at 12? Irrelevant!
•rude reception I have ever come across as well as rude guests. Very pushy guests. Whilst I'm waiting in line had at least 3 people push in front of me with their enquiry and yet reception still handled their enquiry. (Must be ok for Spanish speaking people only)
•came back to my room one night had no electricity. Had to wait for their on site electrician to fix for 1 hour
•inclusive alcohol was very bad, served in small plastic cups like a 5 y.o party. Don't even serve Havana club some cheap rum instead. For some reason can drink 20 rum and cokes and no where near felt any alcohol.
•no mojitos! Came all the way to Cuba from Australia and told no mojito!
Don't order daiquiri it's just sugar water
Only positives for this resort
-great beach
-good food
Would rather just stay in a casa in Havana rather than this resort.
People be aware.

Really recommend. I had the comparison with the dom. republic and this is also very nice. The hotel was great, beach lovely! The only "negative" were lack of animation team (no activities except volleyball on the beach) and about 25% of russians who did really mess (of course not everyone). about 400m behind the hotel is the dolphinarium, go there and get 15 CUC show and 5 CUC photos with dolphins! It is really worth it!
Was told by staff that we can not move you till tomorrow as we know you will not be happy with your accommodation and how right they were, Butlings was better in the sixties very drab and poorly cleaned the staff all very nice, food boring and same old same old, beach lovely, maintenance awful i came down the stairs and banister gave way and i feel down three steps spent the next day at hospital , spoilt the rest of my holiday. They repaired the banister two days later and my five year old grand child could have done a better job, it was more dangerous than before. The bar all ways runs out whiskey and no where does it say whiskey limited. The aircon leaked on three occasions flooding the room, please note that Thomsons no longer support this resort i would seriously not recommend this resort to your worst enemy.
No distinction between smoking/non-smoking rooms. Friendly staff but not enough. Food was good but small variety.
Amazing place. Such a beautiful resort, the food could be way better though. It's hard for vegetarians, but their restaurants are awesome.
My husband and I visited here in March 2016 and enjoyed our trip! We aren't fancy pants type people and this was our first tropical vacay so weren't expecting anything crazyplus we did our research before booking. If your looking for sun, unlimited drinks, entertainment and a beautiful beach then this place has it for a great price! The beds were alrightthe pillows.not so much! Our room was clean and had no issues other then a slight lack of hot water which considering the heat wasn't the worst but it was a downfall at times for sure. The restaurant staff was awesome and it was great getting to know them. The food was meh (I never went hungry that's for sure) but nothing to rave about.but again if you did your research you would know Cuba isn't known for its great food. The pool was beautiful as was the beach unfortunately the weather wasn't completely on our side so we didn't get to enjoy it as much as we wanted. We did a bunch of tours and went to town several times which was great! Also I suggest if you go to Havana to go with the guided tour..we opted to tour ourselves and got lost and ended up in some not so pleasant areas (literally human poop on the streets!!) and were hustled by people we thought were nice and innocent which was disappointing. By no means did I feel in danger but still puts a damper on the mood. So just my personal opinion the guided tour is probably a good idea! To those that rent a vehicle.good luck! Ha I can't even imagine driving here but hey that's just me I like to relax on my holidays not stress that I'm going to die by driving some of those streets lol
Great time though! I've recommended this spot to others already! Just don't expect luxury.
Be smart! Travel safe! Have fun!!!
Definitely NOT A FOUR STAR RESORT!!!!! My trip here was in August and the ONLY highlight was the absolutely gorgeous beach!.. The room had visible mold around the AC unit, this after changing rooms twice upon arrival. Spoke to the Lobby staff as well as cleaning staff but nothing was done.
If that was not bad enough the AC unit started dripping, the beds are quite uncomfortable as well. Dishes at the buffet was mislabeled. I would not recommend this resort AT ALL!!!!
The hotel grounds are kept up well, the staff are friendly and professional. The rooms are old and outdated, with cold ceramic floors. The food in all three restaurants is good, the breakfast we enjoyed the most, the fresh buns were delicious. We also favoured the Italian restaurant the most, just make sure to make to make reservations ahead of time. The downside of our vacation was the fact that we had bed bugs in both our beds, we had two double beds my husband and I. It was difficult sleeping since we were getting constantly bitten at night, we had to repeatedly spray our beds with bug spray. We took all precautions not to bring the bugs home with us. Our highlight of our trip was the beach, clear green blue water and soft Sandy beaches.
