We tend not to do all inclusive but I am so pleased we did this. It really is perfectamazing rooms and service. Excellent food and such a friendly atmosphere. No hidden costs; it really is what it says it is. Would go again :)

I have recently experienced a wonderful holiday at Iberostar Tainos.
I traveled to Varadero and other places in Cuba and saw some stray Cats along the way.

I am sad to hear that the Director of Tourism in Varadero has decided to exterminate the stray cat population in the region.
It is undoubtedly the responsibility of the Tourism industry, that the stray cat population has increased in this area due to the number of resorts and Hotels (an increase in resources for the cat population) that are densely dotted along this beautiful strip of land.
If this has become a problem, and there are Public Health concerns, it is understandable that the local authorities feel the need to take measures to alleviate a risk to public health and the Tourism industry. Nevertheless, this draconian measures are not consistent with the animal welfare standards that I believe your Company share with me and the great majority of your Customers.
The management of such stray populations is dealt in a more humane way by supporting the Neutering (sterilization) of these animals, and implementation of Vaccination Campaigns, which could be delivered by the authorities and/or local Charities or NGOs working on the ground.

I urge you and your partners in the business to liaise with the Varadero authorities to change the approach to deal with the stray cat population in a way consistent with the company values you portray in your sustainability reports.
It would be unthinkable that a measure such as this could be taken back here in the UK, and I believe your company and others should take an active role in encouraging the humane treatment of these animals, which population has increased due to the Tourism industry, that has lead to an animal welfare issue, and a potential public health risk.

Like a roadside motel with beachfront access. This place needed a facelift a decade ago. The resorts of Varadero clearly believe they don't need to try very hard for the guests. Simply disappointing. Varadero is not worth what they charge. Food was good but got food poisoning. The only bright spots are the staff who are mostly very nice, and the liquor portions which are surprisingly generous. Havana on the other hand is a beautiful city.

Although the sun was absent for our entire trip and it was extremely windy on the beach (and we were not allowed to swim at all) we had a great time. We have stayed at other Cuban all-inclusives and Tainos gets top marks on several categories, including the one you rarely hear of, food. While there was only one a la carte restaurant open during our stay (Japanese) and the food was okay, both the main buffet and "snack" bar kept us satisfied. There was variety for each meal, each day with an abundance of fish, most, if not all dishes were tasty. Not what I expect in Cuba. The staff was very friendly in the bars and restaurants and Giselle in customer service went out of her way to accommodate. It's a small resort, which we liked very much, it was well kept and very comfortable. Everything was close by. We stayed in a bungalow and were very well taken care of. We'd return but at a different time of year.

Great service, lovely area and bungalows were very nice. I've eaten in Cuba before and I found the food here got boring before the end of my stay with the repetition and lack of options. Otherwise clean resort with great staff and the usual beautifully flawless Cuban beach.

We stayed in this hotel for 6 nights. The staff was very polite and helpful. Everyday the maid created a different "towel art", a little detail but it definitely caught my attention !! The beach is very clean and at proximity. I reccommend this hotel.

Just got back from this resort. It is a very good hotel. 4 stars is more like it. The food is good and staff is helpfull. The only thing we did not like is not having a 24/7 bar. It is a family based resort anyway that is why. All in all is good. Good sand and clear water.

We stayed in this hotel for 5 nights. The staff was very polite and helpful. Everyday the maid created a different "towel art", a little detail but it definitely caught my attention !! The beach is very clean and at proximity. The cocktails are good but not made with real fruits, you'll have to go downtown for that. The food is overall good.

Hotel was great, bit dated in some areas but it looked like they were working on some parts.
Food was typical for area, some great, some not so but overall good.
Rooms good but as above some were dated and in need of a fresh up.
Staff were great especially George, what a star Iberostar have there. Nothing too much for him and always friendly with a smile.
Good area and only a little taxi drive to Varadero town.
