A True premium all-inclusive resort. The exclusive Royal and new Family Concierge areas are amazing. BBQ on the beach with authentic Cuban music as the catamaran's go by and the Pelicans dive. Palms on the beach Nightly stage performances and musical acts
Fantastic food, buffets and also a la carte restaurants.

The royal service section is good. Fancy comfortable rooms near the beach. The swimming pools are quiet and the bars offer many quality drinks. However, the food is extremely bad, and the staff at the restaurants is not clean! The non royal service is poor, rooms are much below expectations, which is why we moved to the royal service (by itself, gets 100 stars).

Sand is really nice, but lots of debris on the beach. For Cuba, the food is respectable but expected more from a resort of this quality. Staff are extremely nice. Rooms are nice but beds rather stiff. Personal preference. Nice layout to the resort.

Melia Hotels let us down terribly. We booked the royal service junior suite at a huge cost as a special treat. We contacted them to see if the hotel was okay after the hurricane and they told us to email them! We waited 5 days for an answer (during which we couldve booked another holiday) and they came back saying it was '100% operating'.

We arrived in Cuba to discover the hotel was closed due to the hurricane damage. Melia Hotels are totally disorganised, incapable of communicating effectively across their many departments and have given us terrible customer service which totally ruined our hotel. Absolutely appalled with this company and will NEVER book with them again.

We stayed at the paradises varadero for 12 nights in august 2017. Unfortunately we had a horrible experience with this hotel. Please note that this hotel should be 3 stars only. Breakfast, lunch and dinner were disgusting. Food in the Restaurants was very bad also. There were cockroaches in our room and restaurants also. There are flies everywhere, difficult to eat in the buffet. Plenty of birds flying in the restaurant and eating the food at the buffet and from people plates. In the main buffet : dirty tables, mats, plates, cutlery, poor service, poor hygiene, poor food. Tables in the buffet were not cleared away after guests, so very often we had to services ourselves by cleaning tables and try to find clean plates, glasses etc. For 12 days we just couldn't change our beach towels, they did not change our bed linen also. No hot water in the shower. In the snack bar half of the menu is not available. There is a Construction site between the main pool and the beach Every day from 8 am to 6 pm. Heavy trucks, cranes, builders, drilling, hammering, very noisy, difficult to relax. We booked the Lobster Dinner on the beach and dinner was disgusting. Me and my husband were ill next day. Be careful with booking this dinner. We paid for the dinner extra but they ‘’forgot’’ to mention that there is extra charge for the champagne (they said before that champagne is included). The cost of champagne is 95 dollars. We were surprised of that when we were checked out. So hotel is cheating and don’t inform guest about this. The staff working in this hotel barely speak English. The manager of the hotel is always not available, so there is no place to put any complaints. I spoke with the manager once about cockroaches in our room and illness after the dinner, he said that he come back to me and he never did. I have seen so many people complaining and screaming at the Hotel's reception every day. There was only one positive side and that was beautiful beach and ocean. Be aware and don’t waste your money

5 day trip. Facilities great, service from staff at times substandard. Procuring fresh towels once a day a chore. Facilities staffed inconsistently. Services closed 50/50 during times they should be open. Won't return to this hotel.

We went in a group of 32-seniors. Reached there 11::00AM, got room 5:00 PM. It was Easter Long weekend, too much rush, Washrooms was the worst, water flow was too low. Workers has no passion to work, waiting for tips only. Beach was the best, food was good at small restaurants and family one. It was clean, but service was poor. 2017 April 13-20.

I've heard good things about this place, with the new side opening up lots of attention was lost to the older side witch resulted in terrible service and other issues. To start, 50% of the lamps at night were broken and you could not see very easily. The week I was there the weather was terrible so u may catch this place at a better time. There was advertisements for clubs and djs every night and family activities yet there was none. There was also a dead fish in the front lobby in the ponds. Also room service was terrible. I ordered food and it didn't come for about 3 hours

This was listed as a five star resort and it most definitely was not! It took us 71/2 hrs to get our room they gave our room to someone else who arrived 4 hrs after us. There were no bath towels, no hot water for two days. Bar service was terrible as well as the dining room service. Would not return to or recommend this resort.

Rooms were ok. We stayed on the older side, but clean and everything worked. Beach was amazing! Wife and I went for a long walk in both directions from our resort and this is the only one we saw with a ocean view from the lobby and most of the resort. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Buffet food was ok, lots of selection so no one will starve. I would recommend this hotel to my friends.

Friendly staff, they really take time to entertain kids, the family pool is amazing , we were lucky to get a room at the newly recently inagurated rooms. All you can eat buffet, bring your own ketchup there is no ketchup. Don't eat the fresh salad.

Loved the resort. The beach and pool are the best. There was entertainment every night, you could always find something good to eat and the bungalows are the way to go. Spa was nice. Snorkelling just in front of the resort was the best in the whole area. Staff were usually quite nice. Downsides were the availability of hot water and toilets that may or may not flush. Maintenance sorted out the issues eventually. Will be back.

The Paradisus Varadero resort has a great wide shallow beach, with many palm trees and thatched umbrellas for shade. The food was good but not great, and the service at this resort was inconsistent, great in some areas and lacking in others.

We walked up and down the beach at Varadero, and from what we were able to see, the Paradisus had the best beach. The beach area was much wider than at other resorts, and the beach was generally pretty shallow and very gradually got deeper. The resort beach had plenty of beach chairs, and both palm trees and thatch umbrellas for shade.

Overall, the resort was well equipped with may pools, restaurants and bars. The resort grounds were well maintained, and kept mostly clean. Our main complaints were around the level of service provided. Not all the service provided was bad though, and we did find great service in the main buffet and restaurants.

Firstly, our check in was later than what we had received as part of our package. We had to wait in the lobby area for a few hours before our rooms were ready. Rooms should really be ready for our arrival.

Once our rooms were ready, we were unable to find anyone to help the group with our bags. We requested this assistance at the front desk, and waited for over 20 minutes, but nobody came to help us with our bags so we just brought our own bags to our room.

The rooms were not consistent in terms of their state of repair. One of the rooms provided to a member in our group did not have a toilet seat. Do they not check the condition of their rooms before handing the keys over to the customer? Most rooms were missing something. One room had no towels, others did not have a stocked fridge.

The room service provided was good but not great. Dirty dishes were left in the room, and the bar restock was missed on some days.

We found the bar service to be poor. Many times the bar tenders would not recognize the queue and just serve those that they know. In contrast, we always had a good service experience in the restaurants and the main buffet.

Overall, the Paradisus can use some help to ensure that a consistent customer service experience is provided. Some of the service provided was really good, and some really poor. Some oversight in the problem areas would go a long way. Beach here was great.
