Spent a week there from April 18th to 25th with 2 small kids. The beach was just so beautiful and clean. The pools just perfect, the water park was a big hit for my kids. The room is huge compared to other resorts. Food was ok we always found something what we liked. Overall a great vacation

I had such a great time here, food was great, activities were fun and so much to do I felt like there was no way I could ever do it all. At night the gardens are lit up, and the music from the main pavilion adds to the beauty of the resort.

Food is available for 2-4 hours during breakfast lunch and dinner, and it's possible to stay for a while or to grab a quick bite and leave. Bars are always open around the resort, with a large variety of drinks. The food is diverse and in large quantities, so I would highly recommend trying it all.

There are two pools (I think there are 2 but maybe more) and they are usually relatively uncrowded. Two beaches are present around the resort (one long Beach at the end of the resort and one slightly hidden away one in front of the pavilion) and the beaches are also relatively uncrowded.

A bb gun range, spa, and a guide center for planning out of resort trips are all available during the day, the trips are all very good and I recommend the dolphin swimming and trips to various towns.

Staff are all helpful and very nice, and they don't intrude but are always happy to serve you.

This resort is definetly where I would recommend anyone who loves all inclusive resorts should go. I loved my experience here, and judging by the reviews I think many others did too!

This was my first trip to Cuba and it was my best vacation ever. The weather wasn't the greatest; we only had two days of sunshine during our one week stay. However, the wonderful staff at Iberostar Ensenachos, and the Cuban people in general more than made up for the bad weather. The food was great, on par or better than food I've had at five star resorts in the Dominican Republic. Yoandi in guest services was awesome. I highly recommend this resort. My fiancée and I both loved every minute of our Cuban vacation.

This was our 3rd visit. Everything was wonderful especially considering this is 4 months after a massive hurricane, amazing what has been accomplished, however, previously it was 5 star, this time the buffet was not as good a it used to be, all was still great but needs a bit of vamping up, the wonderful staff throughout the resort made up for any deficiencies in food choices especially the lack of smoked salmon & large selection of fruits previously available.
I would definitely go back again.
All the staff are great here are a few exceptional individuals in the buffet Raydel Reyes, Joexis, Amauf & Anna.

It was really nice. Good quality, Good entrtainment and the food was delicious. The only thing I would recommend is that maybe they could change the food? Eating the same food everyday doesn't help my health.

It’s sad to see still so much damage from the hurricane but they are doing amazing job
    The beach is breathtaking
The food wasn’t as bad as the reviews just seems they could charge it up a bit

The beach is gorgeous. The service is ok. produce sourcing is at usual Cuban mediocre level. Beware of the mosquitoes and other blood sucking insects.

The hotel is beautiful and much better maintained than other resorts of cuba, food not so good, beach of ensenachos was AMAZING, BEST BEACH IN CUBA, it is a little far from the room (you have to take a free shuttle from the lobby), service was very good too, they make you feel like you are on vacation. The star missing is because we think to be a 5* hotel, the food could be better.

We stayed here for 2 weeks returning mid July 2017. We have never complained in over 35 years of travelling abroad and this is an honest review. This is rated as a 5 star hotel yet the only parts of the hotel approaching that rating are the beaches and grounds. We travelled as a family of 4 and all of us were ill! This was due to the diabolical food hygiene and we suspect due to the poor quality of the water supplied. You will find flies and cockroaches joining you in the main buffet sharing your food with you before you manage to get to a table and best of luck with finding a clean one. The gourmet experience continues when you go to the pool bars where you will also have the joys of not only a large amount of flies but numerous birds sharing the food with you, the worst example being at the Megano beach where they are in the food prior to it being served.nice. Staff are hit and miss at best. If you want bottled water I suggest a pair of walking shoes as it is a constant fight and waste of time trying to find it, it is almost like it liquid gold. Make a complaint to the rep and you face being accused as moaning and told that there are no complaints which is as far from the truth as you can get! If you travel with young children you can't upgrade and there is nothing else that you can be offered. If you don't mind non existent hygiene, rooms that require constant attention and paying a large amount of money for a terrible sub standard experience then feel free, you may be better served going to a 2 star hotel which gives better standards and service and save a large proportion of your hard earned money. I could write an essay but Look at other sites such as Trust Pilot and Trip Advisor which will provide many more examples.

Terrible place, bad staff, bad management, bad food:

Pool: filter covers missing, tiles missing in the kids pool kids were cutting their feet in there. Chlorine crystals around the pool where they sprinkled it everywhere.

Food: They use tap water in most of the drinks and ice, mouldy bread, cockrouches in the cereals, lizards in the salad bar, fly eggs in the salad.

We had runny painful stomach ache from day 3 of a 14 day holiday. Our little boy who's 4 had extremely painful and runny tummy on our return he had blood in his stools as well.

It is very hard to enjoy your holiday under these conditions.

This is NOT a 4* luxury hotel.

We liked it a lot. We've been twice. The beaches are incredible. Even on their red flag days you can go in the water without much concern.

The staff is absolutely wonderful. We were staying at the Grand Village. Great beachfront lobster lunch. For breakfadt and dinner buffet is a better option. Quiet and beautiful white sand beach. Friendly iguanas. Noni fruits growing everywhere. Loved the entertainment in the evening and salsa classes. Internet is a disaster, connecting is like playing a lottery. The management should attend to small details (quite a few) that need maintenance.

Great resort for Cuba. Clean beach. Clean hotel but old. They often run out of commodity products like soap and toilet paper

Went August 2014. We were 2 families with 4 kids under 8. It was lovely. Imo beach was better than Veradero. Pirate ship water slide was a ton of fun for kids. Rooms were well appointed and in the hot afternoons while the kids were resting, the balcony off room was great to enjoy a cervesa and watch the wildlife. Some food was good (Japanese, Mediterranean) and buffet was just like every other Cuban buffet I've been to so no surprises. Going back again this August 2016 loved it so much.

A nice hotel. The staff is friendly and pleasant. Beach and surrounding grounds were nice. They did spray some pesticides early in the morning so we had to rush to close our windows. One note of caution – count your money as you give it to the people who work in the exchange office as some of them have light fingers.

Douglas and I have been to this resort 14 times. Needless to say, we love this place. The primary reason is the staff. It's them that make our vacation. They do the best they can with what they have. They truly are family. We went there over Xmas and New Years in 2013. The gala's were amazing!! However, they weren't this year. We are in no way picky eaters, however this trip some of the food was inedible. Our favorite meal was breakfast. The eggs from the free range chickens are soooo good! There was 1 toaster for 1,000 guests. We were unable to find 1 descent piece of bacon. I'm not sure why there has been such a deterioration in the food. The beaches are hard to beat. So, for us, we have to decide if the beauty of the beaches outweighs the disgusting food!!
