Fantastic place for a sunny holiday. I have been at Be Live Las Morlas for a week in april and I absolutly love it. Friendly service every where, wonderful beach and good restaurants with planty of choice. I will return for sure!
Best Quality-Price in Varadero. Only 500 Mtrs From Downtown
Stayed at this resort at the end of February 2018. Very happy with our stay, chairs at beach and around pool all new. Pool was kept very clean and was a good temperature. Buffet was well stocked and satisfied our needs for all meals. The guest service personnel were very friendly, most of them spoke very good English. We would recommend this place and will likely go back another time in future years.
On March 17, 2018, the gardener from this hotel kicked this pregnant dog in the stomach to kill her babies, and she already had a broken leg. This sick and twisted man is a gardener at the Be Live and we are all sickened by this. Vet Gladis rescued her but the babies all died. What kind of sick people do this to animals. NEVER GO TO THIS PLACE.
Great Staff - especially the Sportive- and Entertainment Guys. They also spend lots of efforts for the kids-anmiation/care.
Very nice located at a relative calm place at the nice Varadero beach. Classic All-In-Hotel, though its a few years old and some items could be refurbished (hey, we´re in Cuba) its all in all a lovely place to stay a few nights and relax (f.e. at the end of your Cuba holidays).
Lots of food - good, but not too gourmet.
Last but not least: The hotel is highly frequented by Italiens - thats not bad, but keep in mind that most of the Evening shows are tailored to them and are partly in Italian language.
Rooms need some maintenance, beautiful beach. Animation dedicated mostly to Italian
Very Clean, friendly staff, nice layout. Having a private pool with our villa was amazing.
This place is not worth the money barely 1 star! Please do your research before booking. The rooms are filthy they never clean them all they do is redo the bed! We had bugs, frogs and cock roaches in our room, the food is never cooked properly, the pool is dirty. The only good thing was is the staff's attitude. Any good review you see here is most likely fake.
The reason to comeback to this place is simple people like Jorgito, Zenia, Ernesto, Yoel, Reinaldo, and the rest of bartenders at the pool and beach bar, they take good care of you. The entertainment specially the Cubans dancers and magicians are amazing. The problem that I found this time with this place, ( Yes we where there before) is that they cater to Italians too much. Other than that it is a great place, cozy not small just the right size. Will I go there again? yes in a heartbeat, Thanks Jorgito and the rest of the staff for a great time,
Is an old resort. Not bad for the price I paid but enough for a couple of days.
We have now been to this place twice; our kids requested to come back and the staff are awesome. Unfortunately, they used to be more eclectic in terms of their clientele, now they cater mostly to Italian groups, at the exclusion of others.
You can even tell the staff are a bit exasperated with the evolution of things. Liked it better when there were more Russians, Canadians and Germans making their way there.
5 stars for the staff; 1 star for the entitled groups that are now monopolizing the resort and forgetting that WE ALL PAID TO COME HERE.
We visited "Be Live las Morals in October 2016" We booked it via a travel agency incl. transfer and flights. For my review I must say I do have mixed feelings about our stay. In Terms of the location you must be aware that if you go to varadero you are stuck on a part of cuba which just purely is focused on the tourists. Nevertheless, the beach is wonderful and a must see. In terms of this hotel it was visited a lot by Italien since Veraclub I assume is an italien travelcompany. And it is an all inclusive hotel. The Animateurs are also italien and you have an entertainment program each night (no excuse and its very loud) it varies from musical shows, magicians, singers and kids program. The room was nice ,partially clean i must say though. Especially the towels show some stains which you have to get used to. We change rooms after the first night as the AC was located infront of our room and it was so noisy. The second room was located in the 3rd floor and much spacious. However we did had some ants. At the beginning the cleaning lady gave us fresh towels etc. paper but after the third night, since we didn't tipp her ( I didn' tipp her because she didn't changed our used glasses, left the garbage in the bin etc.) she didn't gave us new towels and no toilet paper at all and this went on for many nights. I am not picky but I expect if someone wants to get tipped to do their job well and i insist on good service. Food wise it was for me personally since I am vegetarian a challenge. Cubans love their meat and a lot of it which is fine however the alternatives weren't that appealing. They offered "Pizza" which tasted very plain and the tomato sauce was used for both the pasta and the pizza dishes. The pasta was not cooked and very hard. And unfortuantely the fish was fresh but they overcooked it a lot. As the pictures will show the food was demonstrated very nicely but it was just very plain and carelessley prepared which was a shame. And this is not just my opinion my partner ate the meat and most of the meat was either overcooked or still bloody.
You wonder why I still give the hotel 4 stars? Well, i did some more research and compared to other hotels this was still very good since we had a nice beach area, the facility was taking care of and the garden was very nice aswell. The rooms were fine to stay in and the receptionist were friendly. After we spend some time away in Havanna and Pinar del Rio I also appreciated the effort they did in order to meet the Western taste in terms of food more. Cuba is still very much affected from the Embargo and therefore you need to adapt yourself to it. Finally, if you are not into all inklusive Hotels with animateurs and the typical tourist attractions then I would strongly recommend using Casa Particulares and enjoy the real cuban lifestyle.
Some positive and some negative. We loved the location, the staff, the dining lounge was dark reception area was fine.
Our room was a little small for our liking but clean and well kept.
Nice beech
Lots of drinks, did not see it after the merger with next door hotel.
We are planning to come back but we will have to see the competition and cost.
