We were hot, had been walking a ton, and were just looking for a bar with some Ceviche and Beers. Interestingly enough Google and other sites sent us here, I would NOT recommend this place if that is what you are looking for. Instead, the place was better suited for some very nice and diverse food options. Peruvian, Spanish, Thai, and local. I found it a much more appropriate place for dinner. The staff was helpful and the location was clean and nicely decorated. We had a chicken/rice and chicken/noodle dish and 4 beers. Cost was $39 plus tip for 2A/2C. I would certainly return do so when hungry.

Probably the best restaurant in LA Fortuna. Reservations is strongly recommended. Creative, great presentation of food personally touched by Martin, head chef of Chifa. Wait times and service may take long, in the end the food makes up for it.

The food and the service are the best!!! The greeting and care shown by the owner set the stage for a very enjoyable and delicious dinner. The staff is knowledgeable and proud of the great food they serve. Great prices were an extra bonus!!! Pisco sour was excellent!

Not pretentious. Quiet, great food, inexpensive and an informed communicative chef.
A mix of classic Peruvian food and Peruvian food with a 'chinese' flavor.
We had beef tenderloin strips and chicken oriental style. Both were great.

We enjoyed the food so much, we went two nights in a row. So did the couple next to us. We ate the vegetarian food and it was all so delicious, fresh and filling. The chef was very friendly and took the time to explain the food to us. We are sad we are leaving the area and will not get a third night. Go eat here.

Our waiter Martin was super nice and the best waiter we had throughout our whole trip in Costa Rica. Very helpful in explaining the dishes. I had the chicken with alfredo Parmesan sauce with potatoes and white rice. The food was so delicious! If you don't eat meat they also offer vegan plates.

Chose this place for the great reviews and was NOT disappointed! Great food, prompt friendly service and a very friendly chef who came out to see if we enjoyed our meals.we most certainly did! When you need a break from comida típica you should make this place your first stop!

Very good food with interesting but not difficult flavors. We had a party of 9. Great service & extensive menu with traditional Peruvian & Peruvian-Chinese offerings. Scant beer / wine offerings - we brought a bottle of red wine and they charged no corkage fee. Highly recommend this place!

Chef Martin has created an amazing restaurant. Very relaxing atmosphere with Contemporary Art on the walls and a modern electronic groove in the background. The food is comparable to any highly rated Peruvian establishment in a NY or Chicago for a third of the price. The service is what makes it stand out. A true gem. A++. Highest recommendations.

Very nice atmosphere with planet service and an excellent fusion of food. You could taste the history in each bite. The chef even came out to greet us to make sure we enjoyed our food. I'd definitely go back. Enjoy!

Great food and great service! You can see the chefs cooking your food in the background. They have a variety of dishes with a Peruvian and Chinese blend to them! Good place for vegetarians as well

The best food we tried in Costa Rica so far. Chief is very friendly and cooks absolutely amazing food! I didnt go here first night cause we though all reviews might be fake, but the place is actually great!:)

The best food in entire country! Seriously! Great mix of Peru and Chinese cuisine! Highly recommend to everyone! Especially if rice and beans made you sick:)
