Fantastic place in La Fortuna, the small cabin like hotel rooms were great. Staff was amazing and the breakfast/dinner was great as well. Pool to relax in and your a short drive from downtown La Fortuna. Definitely Recommended!

What a hidden gem! The staff were great at kokoro, really friendly, and eager to help. The hotel is a bit out of La Fortuna which is great because we are pretty much in the middle of nature. We saw a bunch of parakeets, pavo(? Not sure what the English name is but I think they were female crested - something or others, I forget what they were called) various assorted other birds I can't even begin to name, and all pretty much from walking from our room to breakfast. Breakfast was great and I don't know what it was in particular but they had the best fried plantain I've had in Costa Rica. Definitely a recommend.

Great place to stay in La fortuna. Amazing staff who were super friendly. The hot springs on site was really cool and the food and coffee were amazing. Great value. Would recommend to anyone staying in the area who doesn't want to spend a fortune but still enjoy Fortuna.

There are many wonderful things about Kokoro. So many that I don't know where to begin. At the top of the list for me is very good value. This high value smooths anything else for me, but the grounds are beautiful and my spacious room is sweet. The restaurant is *very* pleasant since it's open terrace looks onto the rainforest and the pools and some wildlife. Friendly, helpful people are here and the included breakfast buffet is an extensive joy. Since you'll be out enjoying the Arenal area's many things to do and see during the day you won't notice that their warm pools aren't available till 3 or 4. This place is calming and full of little extras that combine into a bit of happiness in an ever so green garden, with a year round excellent temperature, and a rustic but elegance touched ambience that warm the heart.

Very Cool experience! Little personal bungalows for your sleeping pleasure. The hot springs here are awesome. The water is pumped from underground that has been heated by the lava from the volcano. The minerals in the water have been proven to have healing effects! The springs are cleaned and replenished daily. The rooms could have been maintained better.

Fabulous stay in a quiet and secluded paradise. Hotel kokoro has a super friendly staff and beautful grounds to stroll around. Has a nice swimming pool, hot spring pool, yoga area, and small nature trail. Is located 10 min from la fortuna and within 30 minutes of loads of other exscursions. We saw lots of birds, hummingbird and butterfly species. We found a couple of tree frogs by the hot springs and saw an armadillo yesterday. Also has the best tasting coffee and an amazing complimentary breakfast.

Hotel kokoro is very beautiful and the staff is very friendly. Their facilities on the other hand are horrid. There has been no hot water in our unit for two days, we declined the first room because it smelled strongly of mold as well as the upgrade we purchased. After getting the upgraded suite we were awoken at night by a rodent or animal going through our food inside the room only to escape into very large holes in the wall. The WiFi is terrible everywhere besides the reception area and the food was very bland. I would only reccomend staying here if you actually want to recreate a third world country living scenario. The two kittens living on the resort were the highlight of my family's stay.

The Jungle experience is great, but the shower water was cold and a mouse made it in the cabin.

Lovely property and very friendly staff. It's close enough to town, and has easy access to mistico and the volcano. Our rooms also had beautiful views of the volcano. The only reason I give the place 4 stars: The bathrooms weren't great and they weren't cleaned well.

It's a perfectly fine hotel. THere is nothing fancy about it, but it does feel as though it has had better days.
