I have nothing negative to say about our experience with Costa Rica Descent. They are friendly, knowledgeable and so much fun. Our guide, Tom, was outstanding. He was so funny and made sure our adventure was the best, all while keeping us safe. I highly recommend Costa Rica Descent. Thank you and Pura Vida!

Such an amazing experience! Luiz and his team were absolutely fantastic. We did a tour of the farm and got a phenomenal meal made from all ingredients grown directly on the farm. We then got a guided kayak Safari down the river and got to see lots of cool animals. Highly recommend to anyone in the area!

A couple good rapids, but mostly calm water. Nice break with pineapple. Saw a little wildlife.

It was a wild ride! Jason was an excellent river guide and it was so much fun. In the middle of rafting, the guides cut fruit in easy to grab slices and allow you to snack on them. The fruit is organic and delicious.

Incredible experience! Jose was our guide for river rafting, and farm tour. He was very knowledgeable about both, and went out of his way to deliver an amazing experience. All of the staff besides him was also very polite, and professional. If you're in La Fortuna go here for a great day.

Excellent!! We had an awesome time. We went with are six and eight year old girls. They had a great time. Jose was our tour guide on shuttle very entertaining and attentive. He stop to show us a sloth and dart frog. The actual rafting was great too. Our raft guide was Orlando. He was awesome! Had my daughters laughing and yelling and my wife and i smiling. We stopped have way for fresh fruit in the river. Tons of pineapple and watermelon. After rafting we were treated to a buffet style organic lunch on their farm. The food was fantastic. The entire staff was very friendly . They took us on a short tour of farm and ended with a taste of sugarcane. Warner the manager also made sure everyone was very happy and gave us some great ideas to do with our kids for the rest of our trip. Out best day in Costa Rica.

The best! I've been rafting 3 times in my life and this was by far the best experience yet! The guides were very skilled and friendly. They knew a lot about the local plants and animals. They all spoke English well and made sure everyone was having fun. Our group had a blast! The lunch afterward was delicious, and I loved touring their farm. I'll tell everyone I know about this awesome place!

Top! We had a wonderful day with the guys from Costa Rica Descents. Orlando did a nice job right from the beginning with some nice stories & entertainment and José guided us through and into the rapids with his knowledge and josh.
Also worth to mention is the sustainability concept they go for. From what we've seen they really take care of their nature and encourage everyone to do so as well.
The food we had with them was one of the best in Costa Rica at all. Rice & beans (and more!) at its best! 👍

Thumbs up, guys! Keep it up!

I was kinda dragged into this event because my Husband was dying to go, but it was (by far) the best activity we participated in for our whole trip! It was so much fun and the guides were amazing! Especially Warner and Orlando! I loved the fact that it was a family based business and after an awesome rafting experience they take you back to their farm and feed you a very tasty meal and give you a tour of their farm! I definitely recommend and can’t wait to go back!

Great, funny and knowledgeable guides Jose and Elvis ensured to make a safe yet super fun experience for everyone! Not only the rafting was great, the lunch and educational tour at finca Don Juan was a very nice addition to the tour. Would definitely recommend. It was overall an awesome experience!

It was an amazing experience for a first time rafter like me. They took extra care and made sure that I don't get scared. The guide was wonderful and very knowledgeable both about the water as well as about the fauna and Flora. Having vegetarian options in lunch was great, farm visit and especially to get to know so many varieties of herbs was amazing! I definitely recommend them to anyone who wants to try rafting, they are great people! Thank you for a wonderful experience!

Yes, they're HQ is a sketchy (awesome) organic farm. However, we had a great time with them! We went rafting, and they were very fun and safe. After rafting, the lunch was GREAT and the organic farm was cool too. I highly recommend.

We had an absolute fantástico adventure rafting down the Balsa River. The entire team was really full of life and did a wonderful job engaging the group, keeping us laughing, and most of all safe.

The rafting adventure itself was unbelievable and so exciting. Our guide, Frank did an awesome job pushing us and guiding us.

The provided lunch was absolutely delicious and we had a tour of their farm which was so beautiful and interesting to learn about.

Special thanks to Roger who is really great at his job. We could not have had a better time.

    Thank you!!!!!

If you like whitewater this is the place. I wanted an experience so I signed up for the Class V. Great long ride down all sorts of rapids and jungle foliage. The guides were great. A bunch of fun loving outdoor addicts that talked about the volcanoes they hiked or where going to hike. They all spoke really good English. Hard to believe that far south and in the middle of nowhere. We took extra long so lunch was brought to us at the river. 1/4 flame grilled chicken, tortilla and juice. At least I didn't get fat so I can't complain. When we arrived at the end they had several melons a pineapples they cut up to eat and they had fruit for us all along the way. I do have one complaint: they took my credit card by email months before and I thought they had it stored electronically but it was right there on the clipboard/list of customers, including my CCV code. And then they told me that I had to have my card for them to swipe which caused a problem because they had to run me back to my hotel to get the card. I didn't see anyone else's card number so I think it was a new employee or something . My biggest fear was not being able to go on the trip since that is why I came to La Fortuna. Great great bunch of guys. I would do it again. We had so much fun cracking jokes and talking environment politics.
