I had a wonderful experience at Sunrise! I am a US customer and I had to bring my Tundra up for a recall (Bellingham Toyota said they couldn't do it since its a BC truck originally). It was only a 2 hour job and their minimum for a loaner is 4 hours but they gave me one anyhow which I greatly appreciated as I don't like milling around in a waiting room for hours. The car was clean and nice. I came back after an hour and a half because I didn't want to waste gas. I killed time on the lot looking at cars. The salesman that came out to talk to me was very friendly and never once did he try to make me buy anything. The service girl was awesome (never got her name but she was blonde), I even got a free wash. Keep in mind this was for a recall and I did not spend a dime at this dealership yet they still treated me awesome. Will DEFINITELY come again if I have anything wrong with my truck even if it means crossing the border
If you guys want to waste your time and have them damage your vehicle, then go to Sunrise Toyota. Down below is the experience I had with Sunrise Toyota over the years.
I went to Sunrise Toyota to get warranty work done. It turned out that the technician damaged a seal. I went back to the service department and the technician who worked on the vehicle, came out. I was told all the seals are like that (apparently NOT!). Sunrise refused to take responsibility and turned me away. So, I drove to another dealership and their technician looked over. That technician said Sunrise is responsible for damaging the part and they have no right to turn their customer like that. Since I was on the hook, I called up Toyota Canada because Sunrise did not take responsibility. The next day after I talked to Toyota Canada, Sunrise took responsibility. THANKS SUNRISE FOR WASTING MY TIME AND GAS! Every vehicle I bring in for service, their technicians would damage something. My past experience at Sunrise is:
- A technician put a small crack on the windshield
- Jammed the front latch under the hood
- Spilled a lot of oil in the engine bay
- Invoiced stated that they put the WRONG oil
- Basic inspection report was not taken seriously.
I still remember when I talked to the service manager about these problems. They basically said "why are you coming back to us". Anyways, thanks Sunrise you lost a customer for life!
Update*
I believe customers need to acknowledge how Sunrise Toyota treat there customers. Sunrise Toyota never care about their customers. When I talked to Toyota Canada, the person said they will send the complaint to Ryan (the service manager assistant). The next day I left a voice message not one but two, stating what part they have damaged. The very next day, Ryan called and he said that he reviewed the file etc.. I told him I'm not getting any more service done at sunrise, therefore, forward this work order to the dealership that I prefer. Also I told Ryan once he forward the work order, I asked him to remove me from their system. I want nothing to do with Sunrise. After I schedule the appointment at the new dealership, I called back at Sunrise to verify. Apparently, Ryan failed to remove my file from their system. Furthermore, Ryan send the wrong work order to the other dealership. That dealership worked on the wrong doors and they said Ryan send this work order. I shook my head and I told them I left him 2 messages indicating what door they damaged and Toyota Canada send them complaint file. This clearly show Sunrise Toyota does not care about their customers.
Oh ya, Ryan never apologized over the phone. Will I recommend others to go? Absolutely Not!
Great service. Found cheaper parts for my truck $300.00 cheaper. Thanks services team. 😆
Service Department: I came in to the shop and found unexpected damage to my car. They offered me two days with a loaner car, as things got figured out, just out of the goodness of their hearts.
Shayna and the crew were fantastic staying late to fix the busted belt on my truck. They were caring, professional, helpful, reasonably priced. If I could give them TEN stars, I would. Thank-YOU! Denise, Laurie, Buck and Baxter too.
Had a great experience here. Moe was our sale assoc. He was very helpful, patient and informative. Everything was great
Don't trust their shuttle service if you have to be somewhere. Get your own ride or book far enough in advance to book the courtesy car. I made a pick up reservation & I'm still waiting 45 minutes later. Poor communication all around. Car is fine, just horrible expectation setting, and inability to meet commitments when it comes to rides.
I have to say this dealership was awesome to work with. We went for a quick test drive on a used 2013 Ford Focus. After hours, and they stayed open while we did our test drive.
Mulled over the car itself, as well as the service that was required for our satisfaction.
Went for a second test drive, and decided to make the purchase.
Sam was with us for the entire sale. It was nice that Sam didn't pressure too much on our decision. He even said that this Ford Focus was unique to what Toyota was offering at the time. We decided to jump on our decision.
I noticed an issue with the vehicle that would need to be addressed. That solidified our purchase, and they got our business.
All in all they were awesome and committed to our concerns, made a fair assessment on our trade-in. A Mercedes C230.
I have faith in giving Sunrise Toyota a 5 star review because we are totally satisfied in all aspects of their operations. Sam, excellent sales service, and I commend you on being patient, as well as supportive as we chose our next vehicle. Cheers.
Very happy with the service here. And the salesperson whom I dealt with at a previous dealership had relocated to this dealership. "Jas" is someone I highly recommend. I hope he is the one I deal with when I buy my next vehicle.
The service department itself: "very well organized". Today was my 3rd visit for service and everyone in this department is professional and polite. Today they didn't even charge me to address a cosmetic issue on my vehicle. They corrected it on the spot, with no appointment. Highly recommend this dealership.
Highly recommend going to this dealership for your next purchase.
The salesman Moe (Mohammed Nazim) was professional, patient and easy to work with. He provided us with an excellent experience. Additionally, the whole team was very well put together and created a great atmosphere.
Go ahead, have a read, that's my experience with your dealership. And I'm not the only one. If you want to be lied to and cheated by a dealership, by all means, go to sunrise! If you don't like getting walked on, go to west coast Toyota in Maple ridge. They're a world of difference, and truly professional, unlike these clowns
Parts staff told me to look up the parts numbers and to let them know what I needed. Incredibly unhelpful, and didn't seem to care. I would rather go to Lordco, at least staff there are interested in repeat business.
For the sales department: I bought a Prius from Sunrise Toyota in 2014 and the purchasing experience was excellent. The sales person was very professional and the management/finance team were excellent. I definitely recommend buying from Sunrise Toyota.
For the service department: Alison and Jessi in the service department are two of the best customer service reps I have ever encountered at a dealership/dealer service center. Keep up the great work!
Was quite disappointed with the level of service I received during my purchase and follow up:
- Scheduled a test drive online and when I arrived (at the agreed upon time) I stood around waiting for someone to acknowledge me for 10 minutes. Then I was finally able to test drive the car.
- When I returned from my test drive the salesperson didn't even bother coming out to talk to me to check on things. I understand not pressuring but being there to collect the keys and plate would be reasonable.
- After making the final purchase they couldn't find the 2nd key so they said it would probably turn up in a few days and they'd let me know. I waited 5 days and then contacted them. They said they'd have to order one. I waited another 7 days and when I followed up they told me they had just ordered it yesterday.
Maybe it's just because I bought a used Honda from them but their service level was poor. I would hesitate to return.
