Great Experience and Bed!

Pat (the owner) is very knowledgeable and was very helpful with helping us select our custom built king sized bed. While GH Johnson's was not the cheapest price on the market, they were average in price, but we felt they provided the best value -- size of headboard, finishings, delivery and sturdiness.

In regards to service, hands down we experience one of the best furniture service experiences we have ever had. Our bed was actually too big to fit through our stairwell, so Pat sent a second team -- moving and carpentry -- to come back to our house and disassemble > move > reassemble our bed. While this added a 1 week delay (due to our schedule) and the inconvenience of temporarily storing the unassembled bed it was far from inconvenient.

The bed took 3 weeks from date of order to setup in our bedroom, including the 1 week delay.

NEVER SHOP AT THIS STORE - EVER! All negative reviews are true, I would doubt the positive ones that are few and far between. We have been waiting 13 weeks for a couch that was meant to arrive in 4-6 weeks. And no update, no one can give us a straight answer. They lie, they avoid, will never call you back, will never provide you with an honest answer. They have shown us the WORST example of customer service we have experienced with a retailer. 'Low prices'You get pay you for - spare yourself and shop at a real store, one with integrity and respect.

GH Johnson's saved me when I got overly excited at RH and purchased a non returnable sofa, too large to fit up the narrow stairs of my downtown apartment (despite measuring to RH's suggested plan). After calling a number of places none of whom would even consider doing the knock down of the sofa the team from GH Johnson came to the rescue. It took a couple times to come and examine, collect, and finally deliver and reassemble my far too expensive sofa but they were able to do what no other company in the GTA was willing to. Best of all, despite being a larger than expected job they stuck to the quote which I had paid up front. Overall I have to say I am overjoyed with the quality of work, one would never guess this sofa was in three pieces on our front lawn, and for the price it cannot be beat.

I won't consider shopping anywhere else for my home furnishings going forward.

This company is a joke. All I can say is they have the gift of the gab, they will promise to take care of everything for you, you're in the best hands until you've paid for your purchase. Then, all customer service goes in the toilet. From the delivery men showing up smelling like booze, to the constant excuses why the purchase was delayed by over 3 weeks after the original scheduled delivery date.

Come 5 months later the sofa and love seat started developing body impressions. Filed warranty claim in January. The worst experience of my life to date. Apparently a replacement order had been filed and would take 8 weeks to deliver. Those 8 weeks came and went and apparently nobody thought it was important to notify me that the items were not coming. So I called. Was told another couple weeks. Ok so I wait. And call back in a couple weeks. Another excuse. Another couple of weeks. And so this has gone on. Over and over. The countless phone calls to that company and being told it's been taken care of. Dealing with Pat Johnson is useless as he has no time to explain anything. He has hung up on me countless times and finally he told me If I call again he'd cancel it all together. As of now, I still haven't received a replacement for the defective one, nor an expected delivery date.
I am now trying to deal with the manufacturer directly, as this company CLEARLY does not have any intention of following through on promises.
PLEASE do yourself a favour and avoid this place like the plague. Pat and his silver tongue will promise you the moon, but don't ever expect delivery. Ok

Amazing selection of modern and stylish furniture. Basically, a 1-stop-shop. Staff is very knowledgeable and helped me decide on colors and styles for 2 rooms in my home. Delivery, was as promised ( within the hour ) and everything was unpacked and set up by the delivery guys. They even took all of the packaging!

WE had our room set up in about 20 minutes!!!

Well I read all these negative reviews and frankly if I had not dealt with them (Mr. Pat Johnson) I would have passed and probably gone to somewhere else. But I have had nothing but great service great price and very courteous service from all staff. So to give you an example; We bought a sofa for my parents new condo when we did not even have possession of the condo. They delivered on time. We realized that the sofa was small for the place, It took me a week to phone and explain my situation that I would want something bigger, Pat welcomed the idea gave us a full refund and we bought something more fitting. I have had nothing but great service. I hope this review helps people that read those negative reviews.

Our house was just renovated and the kitchen looks great but we went over budget so the money we had to spend on a dining room table and chairs was cut in half. We visited quite a few stores and were getting discouraged when a friend suggested GH Johnson furniture. We went in and were pleasantly surprised at how many dining room sets that were well priced and within our budget. We are so thrilled with what we purchased that I thought GH Johnson deserved a good review.

This company never deliver the furniture or deliver furniture with stains.

They promise to call back to their customers, but they never call back.
Sometimes they just hang up the phone while I am still talking to them.

They do not have service mind and it is so weird how this company is still able to run their shady business..

Please buy your furniture from any other brands and then you will see 좀what you bought anyhow.
