In my recent 3 night stay from November 17 to November 20 I was very pleased with Days Inn in downtown Vancouver. There are a few major things I really pay close attention to when staying somewhere and they did a great job on the execution of these things. Some would include a friendly and accommodating staff, clean and working bathrooms (no clogs, etc), efficient and easy thermostat (A/C, Heater) and of course a clean and comfortable room. From the moment I walked into the hotel to the moment I checked out the staff was always incredibly accommodating. Samia at the front desk really went above and beyond for me on my last day staying with Days Inn and I couldn't be more grateful. It's always nice to truly feel like a guest rather than be dismissed so easily on your last day of your stay with any establishment. House keeping was attentive and didn't bother me when I had the "Do Not Disturb" sign hanging on the door. They were punctual as well as timely. Couldn't be happier with my stay here, definitely a great value for the money as it has great staff and located central to almost everything Vancouver. Makes it easy to ride the sky train and get around because a few stations are only a few blocks away. Would recommend this to all my fellow Googlers, friends and family alike. Thanks for taking care of me during my stay! Much appreciated!

First the positives - cheap, great location, and friendly staff. However, there were many negatives such as dirty windows, could feel the coils in the mattress, the shower had a loud annoying screech coming from the tap, the elevator smelled, and the place does not “feel” very clean.
Also, there is NO fitness centre, hot tub, breakfast, or parking. These are all things you have to pay extra. So although the room was cheap, by the time you pay for all these other things that we generally have included at hotels, it’s not cheap. It’s the same, or more, as staying in a better hotel nearby that has these things included.
When they say “econo lodging”, they mean it. It’s bare bones!response / report this review -

My son got very sick during our flight from Toronto and we landed at 8:30am. I was in a panic because we couldn't hang around until check in time. I called the hotel and explained what happened. They were so nice and told us not to worry. We seen a Dr and went to the hotel right away. Very nice girl at the front desk and also compassionate about my son being sick. She got us set up into a room right away on the top floor with a great view. We are very close to everything downtown Vancouver. It's the perfect location for all the great things to see like Stanley Park, Aquarium, Science Center and museum. Tim Hortons next to the hotel was great for me. We have only been here 1 day and I'm impressed. I will definitely be writing another review before we leave Sunday. This is also right across from Canada place where the cruise ships come in. We will be checking that out today. I was worried about travelling alone with my 11 year old son but I feel very safe. Great area. I just wish we had a microwave but that's my only issue so far. Great hotel !!!

It's great because it's in the heart of Downtown and cheap. But with that lower cost there are a few other things out of place. The elevator smells like smoke. The room is cozy but is lacking in overhead lights for my taste. Overall I'm happy with my choice for this hotel to attend a conference at the Vancouver Convention Center.

We arrived very late at night (early the next morning, in fact) but checking in was quick and easy. The room was comfortable, and the water pressure was great! Also, the hotel is very close to the cruise terminal, so it was easy to get to our ship in the morning.

Hotel is nasty. Customer service agent both of them were super rude. Asked him about parking he rudely answered I will tell you when you done checking in. No parking!!! The closest is 2 blocks away cost 20 dollars.
Took a security hold even so we paid before hand. Had 2 rooms so a security hold on both rooms on 2 different cards. Don't know why. They took out 40 from both. Talked to them. one lady said one amount guy said different amount. So 3 different amounts . Plus tv sucksresponse / report this review -

Decent for a place to stay in the heart of the city. Great location. Elevator is so slow. Parking isn't on site and is $20 a night. no bed bugs. I was scared previously from other reviews but the place looks good now.

I'm glad I read the reviews so I knew what I was getting myself into before booking a room. The hotel itself is 3 star. But the location is 5 stars. I really considered location and fact that I was going to be out of my room during my time there. It's not a fancy hotel you get what you pay for.
Things in the room could be a little more up to date. The bed was quite comfy,don't expect great views of the city. The rooms sizes are like a dorm room (I was by myself) in a deluxe queen bed so I didn't find this too much of a problem. With that being said since the rooms are small they do cool down very quickly but the air conditioner was rather loud.
If I had to do it over again I probably would and I'd spend a lot less time in my room. My time there was pleasant for the most there were no mishaps or anything of that nature.response / report this review -

Small rooms. Older hotel. You aren't staying here for the amazing amenities. You are staying here for the amazing location in downtown Vancouver. Walking distance to everything! Nice breakfast restaurant in the basement. Get 20% off your meal with an overnight stay

Bed is comfortable, staff have been good. It is a old hotel but have updated the rooms the best they could, lay outs are a bit different but had lots of room in mine. Pretty quiet location for being downtown, and your in walking distance to everything and skytrain is 2 streets away. You do get a good sized mini fridge but no microwave. Rooms are clean and has lots of windows for natural light.

Would not recommend this Hotel anyone unless they only need a bed! First it takes an hour to check in because of having to unload your car , then proceed to the pay parking ($20 plus tax per night) lot 2 blocks away and make your way back by foot to the Hotel.Only to be put in a room with no heat, we were then moved to another room where the heat was minimal and we used a floor heater to keep warm. If that wasn't enough, the second room the TV did not work, Yes they came tried to fix it but no success, their suggestion was to move rooms again. As this whole process had already taken up the entire evening , with having to pay for parking 2 blocks away and dealing with no heat no TV , we opted to go bed as it was already 10:30 pm, so all in all the stay only offered me a place to sleep for $175.00. Not impressed to say the least..

The shower was kinda gross. Also, all hardwoods floors was weird. I wish they had a pool or sauna. Beds are comfy though

Hotel is in a good location, but that is about all. Room is small and overly hot. Parking is two blocks away. The fire alarm was pulled while we were there at 4am and no compensation was given.
