Stay right at the core of downtown! Perfectly situated between downtown and the waterfront, a walk away from almost anything! Until today I have heard some places let you check in early but this is the first time I have ever been offered this option. The staff is very friendly, the service is outstanding and the checkout was quick and easy. I only have one complain: the wireless internet. It's worse than dial up, it cuts often and it's unreliable, which in today's day and age is just unacceptable.

I enjoy this downtown boutique hotel. It is great for business as you really are in the heart of business district. But the hotel is aging. The elevators need some love. The rooms could use some updating. The restaurant is good and the bar friendly. The gym is petite, but it has everything. There is a pool which surprised me - it too is small but delightful. The hotel does have one of the nicest concierges I've met in awhile.

Professional staff, perhaps a bit too professional in demeanor. Excellent location, especially if going to a theatre show. Spacious rooms, especially the bathroom. Firm beds and average bedding, but comfortable. Our suite, at least, had no microwave which seemed a bit odd. Perhaps a tactic to encourage room service or restaurant orders. Or maybe microwaves don't fit into the semi-upscale ambience they were going for. A bit dated, as others have mentioned, especially as evidenced by the old, slow and noisy elevators - the hotel as a whole was quiet but I was woken up by the elevator creaks and thumps a few times. Also, was disappointed because I chose early check-in with my reservation but ended up not needing it. Tried to change my reservation online but website would continually give an error. Ended up emailing and was told it was too late to change reservation, so I was out $30. Yes, only $30, but was still frustrating.

Staff very polite and helpful. Really Central location. Only downside is there are a bit of construction nearby. Rooms are clean and well kept. Would definitely stay again next time!

A great place for a meeting. They have a very nice layout, excellent equipment for visual presentations and a terrific snack and lunch spread. Bathrooms are clean, chairs are comfortable and it has a great elegant feel to the location. Staff were very friendly. Parking is handled by a valet service. They are reasonably close to transit.

Didn't actually stay here, rather had a few drinks at the bar. Really sleek and classy joint, and the bartender was on point. Great drinks and he even had great recommendations for other bars to hit as well.

A well appointed luxury hotel near everything downtown. We had a random upgrade which was very nice. The concierge was especially friendly and helpful.

Very helpful staff. Helped me fix an internet issue that ended up being on my end but they didn't mind. They let me use the shower in the gym after I had already checked out which was amazing after a long day of work and a long wait for a flight ahead of me. The bed was way more comfortable than my own and it made me feel obligated to upgrade mine.

Old school, but classy. Sparsely furnished, but everything is VERY functional and has a purpose or multiple. Room was clean, and staff were all super courteous. Only point of contention is the 100$/day pre-auth/deposit policy they have for incidentals. Seems unnecessarily high for one guy staying in a basic King suite. That can tie up a credit line pretty quickly if you've got a longer stay

Excellent downtown location. Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable. Unfortunately their hot tub was being renovated so I couldn't enjoy that. Overall I was happy with my stay.

Upon arriving, I was kindly greeted by the hotel staff, who were very helpful. My room was clean and very nice. The concierge desk provided wonderful recommendations that I very much enjoyed. I also ate at the Diva restaurant in the hotel. Once again, fabulous service, food, and beer! Highly recommend!!

The Metropolitan is a nice hotel in downtown Vancouver. (It's only 1 block away from Vancouver City Centre station). It has the feel and look of an older hotel while still being modernized to fit today's standards. Great for business customers as well as for those who are just looking to be in the downtown area. Nicely sized rooms with access to private-in room bar too.

Five of us went to Diva at the Met to try out their Dine Out Menu. We ordered a bottle of $40 Argentina red which was quite good. The starter Tuna Carpaccio despite was presented very well but it's tasteless, I had add quite a bit of salt & pepper. The Lobster Bisque was just warm, far too much taste of the tomato. The Tenderloin was prepared to the perfection, medium rare, just the way I like. The meat was juicy and full beef flavor and sauce went very well with the dish. The Fish was light. They offered add on side orders, my friend ordered 3 prawns with her fish main for extra $12. The cheese cake was good, not so sweet. All portions of dishes are on the small side. The service was swift and very friendly.
