Had my stay when I was away on business. Rooms are clean and it's a nice a quite stay. Close to where I needed to be. The problem was when I received my check out bill. and checked my statement online there was a $30.00 deference. I had not eaten or drank anything and know I left the room clean. So I call costumer service to ask what the charge was. They told me I needed to call the hotel. That's ok I just wanted a 800 number being that I was out of town. They told me there wasn't a 800 number and I needed to call directly. So I need to pay long distance to find out why we where over charged $30.00. Costumer Service could not answer my questions and would not find out for me. This is why I scored the hotel low. Other then that clean and quiet building. Just not impressed with not being charged what I was told it would cost when booking the room.
Location is good. Plenty of bars and restaurants that are in walking distance. Very friendly staff the woman greeted us with a smile. Decor was up to date. Nice lobby area . Great area to hang out and enjoy a drink. Has a pool and a fitness club, always a bonus. Also has a Starbucks which is awesome. My room was decent could use an upgrade in the bathroom . Had a jacuzzi suite which wasn't expensive at all. Great hotel would recommend to anyone. Cheers
Everything seemed fine. I had a drink at the bar. When I asked for a draft beer was told their were no clean glasses which struck me as odd. Aside from that rooms seem nice and clean. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Great hotel.
The rooms are solid a pretty well shielded from external and other room noises. The carpet throughout the walkway of the level I stayed on and in the room I was in could stand to be replaced soon as they are looking ragged and bubble away from the floor beneath in areas.
I had a couple minor issues with the washroom toilet tank not filling (easy fix) and water spraying out the side behind the shower head.
The in house food (The Bistro) is nice and the pay-for breakfast was continually to my satisfaction, as was the burger for dinner one night.
The biggest downsides are lack of restaurants nearby and the location is laden with heavy traffic. Any reasonable shopping or eating away from here is a solid 25 minutes away.
Nice big clean room with friendly staff. Lobby had water and snacks free. There was a restaurant with good food but not included :(. I enjoyed my stay and we were walking distance to a sweet little Korean mall with yummy cakes and duck.
Pretty nice. Bistro food is good. Parking lot light shines in my window at night making for a bright room when sleeping. Key card is hard to get to work in my door.
Best hotel experience I have ever had. Front desk staff were genuinely friendly, upgraded our room without us asking, always smiling at us when we were in and out of hotel. Free Wi-Fi which is rare
On checkout both staff asked if we enjoyed our stay. Room was very clean and spacious.
Rooms and staff are excellent. Starbucks in lobby (morning only). Very nice stay with great location. Tons of awesome restaurants within walking distance.
Room was very clean and the king bed was WONDERFUL. Only issue my wife and I had was that when we booked our room for 2, it said breakfast included. When we went for breakfast, they tried to say it was only for 1 person, smh. I've never heard such nonsense. I think it was the restaurant manager who eventually gave it to both of us without issue.
A decent Marriott courtyard that follows the Marriott formula for the brand.
Clean lobby and cafe area that is usually only opens during the breakfast and dinner period. The lobby serves copies of USA Today and complimentary fruit infused water.
Amenities are a bit dated and lacking but gym and pool are acceptable for use.
A very popular hotel for business travelers and you won't see too many families or the young crowd here.
Bed was clean and location was good for the meetings I had in the area, but the bathroom in particular looked like it hadn't been cleaned from the previous guest. Hair and shaving cream were all over the sink. The room smelled like cleaning chemicals all night too. Would probably stay somewhere else next time.
The room was fine and my daughter made use of the pool which was fun. We had a group party in an arranged room and that worked well. I found booking by phone to be painful for two reasons: the group sales person's phone extension was almost inaudible. (A known problem, apparently.) After booking, the emailed rate did not match what we discussed, so I had to call back. When calling back I was passed around to people then dropped to voice mail, so had to call again. Each time I talked to someone I was quoted a slightly different rate. In the end I got the correct group rate, but I had to spend quite a bit of time on the phone, and multiple calls, to get it. In talking to another person in our group I found she was also given a run-around related to the wrong rate, and ended up being charged $50 more than me and being told things like it was past deadline and couldn't be changed. When approaching the front desk to correct this, they were told that the front desk didn't have authorization and needed the (off duty) manager. This person was our group's organizer so she would have been the first to book, no deadline problems there. In the end I was involved in about an hour's worth of conversations about wrong rates and how difficult it was to correct. That wasted time discoloured what should have been a normal hotel experience.
Very nice hotel. Great location, close to many restaurants and a Longo's supermarket. Clean rooms, decent bathroom. Even has a small dining area to cook up some breakfast.
Former holiday inn Markham. The new brand gave a new life. So sweet service. The breakfast menu has been translated to Chinese, also provide a sheet explained all of the things which should to know in Chinese. Wonderful!
Hotel is clean. Staff is friendly. Hotel decor is nice. Rooms are clean . Location is good. Breakfast was better then most places. Overall 3.5 out 5.
