I was in a refurbished room and they have done a wonderful job. The shower is luxurious and has a seat, the bed is comfortable, the mini bar is up high and looks snazzy and the chair at the side of the room is a longer one - perfect for putting your legs up and reading or computing. The front desk was helpful and the breakfast was a good hotel, buffet breakfast. It was all clean and lovely.

The Crowne Plaza has a lot going for it. It is centrally located near a lot of interesting places, has a great view out over the river, and the architecture is cool. The staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms are nicely appointed, not too small without being big. The usual facilities include a safe, and ironing board and a nice big TV.
My stay was less than ideal. Workers started construction of something that required hammers and power tools at about 7am. The sheets on the bed were not clean. The free WiFi wasn't free. And the whole place looked a bit old, tired and worn.

When you enter, duck around to the left and find the lobby bar. You'll feel like you're staying at the hotel while you just have a coffee. It's a relaxed. Breakfast smorgasboard is nice at the restaurant downstairs.

The staff here is awesome, so it pains me not to give more Stars. The rooms are always meticulously clean!!!!!
    But
The rooms are tired. The pillows suck to the point where I bring my own pillow to avoid the neck ache. (My company chooses this hotel for me). Bathroom is tired and old.

The work out room is tiny and very limited. The pool is weird. No steam room or sauna.

    Food/restaurant has limited hours.
The bar is lame. There could be a beautiful view, but instead, it's like being in a conference room that they put some stuffed chairs in and then sprinkled in children from time to time. Children are free to hang out in the bar area and can run around and play games Which I don't enjoy when I am at a bar.

The breakfast is epic. The staff is epic. They get 5 stars!

Hotel is close to the exhibition Centre and great restaurants. Staff friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean, great beds, older bathrooms and would have liked better view..

Clearly not a cheap option, but my experience was excellent. The resteraunt had some of the best steak I've had in a long time. The rooms were spotless and we'll equipped. But the biggest win here was the customer service, the best I've had at any hotel in years. I came down for a work conference but would come back but would stay personally.

Pleasantly surprised by this hotel. On the outside the hotel looks a bit dated and in need of some TLC. Room was very comfortable and spacious. Probably the best block out curtains I've come across at any hotel. The room was pitch black at 8:00am which bode well for a sleep in. Only criticism was that the room temperature couldn't go below 18.5° which I found made the room a little stuffy after a few hours (sorry - I need it cold to sleep). All in all, a nice hotel that's close to everything.

Staff are friendly and very helpful. I found the location to be great with tje train station close by and also shops and restaurants. Breakfast had a fantastic variety and I especially enjoyed the juicer with it's good variety of chopped vegetables and fruits.

Had dinner at the hotel restaurant. The restaurant was quiet with only a few staff. The service was good and the menu was quite big without being overly large. The food was very good but the servings were possibly a little small. The sticky date pudding was a bit of a stand out. The ambience was nice.

There are a lot of things to like about this hotel: great location, clean rooms, friendly staff, good food, fitness centre and pool. It falls short of 5 stars for me because it could really do with a refurbishment. The carpets in public areas are old, faded and worn. Rooms, and especially the bathroom, look like they were haven't been updated in a long time. My bathroom has an over-bath shower (with a curtain). It's also a little noisy between rooms and the corridor, and my room faces the train line so I can hear the rumble as the trains go by.

Good location, but fairly basic rooms. Apples not provided. One of two TVs in my suite was without a functional remote control. Period blood on the carpet, would not recommend, even to Lewis Hamilton.

Recently renovated hotel on the water very close to the river. Within walking distance to the free tram zone and other popular areas. Would stay here again.

I really enjoyed the location of the hotel. Friendly staff, a little on the pricey side and books quickly. The breakfast buffet is delicious and worth the money. Small pool and small workout space. Beautiful views and close to the tram!
