Very pleasant and friendly staff. Convenient location. Close to food outlets and the University.

Rooms are very small. Construction underway.

Convenient hotel in the Hatfield Pretoria. It close to the University of Pretoria many residences around Hatfield. The hotel is nearby many restaurants around the varisty village. It's ideal for those visiting students, the varisty or on business around Hatfield.

The parking was still under construction while I was visiting but I'm sure it will be completed soon. All other facilities were up to scratch. The service was also quiet satisfactory.

Strategic location. Good breakfast, friendly staff and convenient location in Pretoria opposite the Hatfield mall. The room was clean. The hotel has some construction going on and gets fully booked. No swimming pool or gym. Rooms are tiny. Bathroom is squashed. Can't compare to other protea hotels. The showers are not adequately spacious and there is limited movement in the room. But I think construction changed will make it better. Parking could be managed better especially.at night.. otherwise it's a good hotel for a short stay.

Great location, super friendly and helpful staff, and real value for money. The new Africa restaurant is superior to most hotels and the food is divine! The option to dine at alternative restaurants is a big bonus when you stay here for a longer period of time and the short walk to the Gautrain station is very convenient, even though a shuttle service is available. Can wait for the next stay!

My travel agency failed to send the hotel my voucher to confirm my stay here. I arrived and they told me they would let me stay free of charge for as long as I need to communicate with agency. In the end it was sorted and I really enjoyed my stay

The hotel had no non smoking rooms on my arrival on the 28th,had to be moved to another hotel, what an inconvenience,on my return in the afternoon ,was so tired wanted to rest ,had to wait for 15 minutes until I raised my concern that I am not checking Inn the first time, then the room was immediatelyavailed to me.I was not impressed with all that I have mentioned above, however, the food was delicious ,thier dinner cuisine was perfect .other than the treatment I received it was happy with their immediate response for laundry unlike other hotels you wait for ages

The staff at the hotel are friendly. I mean from the reception to the kitchen staff. The view from the rooms over looking the streets are perfect. The food are delicious.

I had to walk through the dining room to get to my room, people (guests?) made a lot of noise in the hall at night. The shower head was very small and I danced around to get wet. However, the staff was friendly and the hotel is across from a small shopping centre, enabling you to stretch your legs after work. You also have the option of a voucher for your dinner and there is a nice Ocean Basket close by.

Filthy, poor service and lack of any will to assist. My bedsheets had brown stains, the rooms had an awful smell and the TV wasn't working. The rooms were incredibly dark and dingy. The bathroom wasn't nearly as clean as it should be. I stood at the deserted check-in counter for about 20 minutes. The room key didn't work. I had to walk all the way down with my luggage to reception. I stood waiting in the aisle for them to assist for nearly 40 minutes. The bar is horribly overpriced and in general the place felt like it was in shatters. Avoid at all cost, Protea Hatfield is a disgrace to the Mariott group. Sis!

Nothing exciting. Standard small hotel room. In line with the rate charged. Rooms are clean and tidy. Service is friendly but not that efficient

The worst Marriott hotel in the chain! Everything is is in need of updating. I chose this hotel because It looked great from the pics, close to shops and near the US Embassy. Boy was I wrong! I had to change rooms, my key didn't work, the internet is slower than dial up and no outlets for plugs near your bed so you have to plug in your device across the room. The air con is barley functional. No wash cloth??? Why? Internet is sporadic even as I write this post. Dimly light rooms, tv doesn't work.

I travel often around Europe, they don't do wash cloths either, maybe it's an American thing? I travel in the US and now in Africa again and not much has changed in 15 years. I would've thought South Africa would be in the lead for understanding the needs of its customers but I guess I was wrong.
