If you reading this. Do yourself a big favour, choose another hotel, there are way better value for money ones in Sancton. Front desk staff are just plain rude and racist. We booked a room for two that included breakfast, but when we were checking out had to pay an Extra R330 because their system didn't pick up the booking includedetails breakfast. When we showed them proof on the booking site, they chose to ignore that and said we can claim it back another time if we send management and email. Then they cancelled our room card, didn't tell us they did, we couldn't take the elevator back to our room. We took the stairs, the fire escape stairs to floor 7, and asked a cleaning lady to open our room door so we could just get our bags. This was at 10 in the morning. The TV sound didn't work either. Just generally an unpleasant experience.

The facilities work, its fit for purpose bed and breakfast with a functional restaurant. The bar seems active and the swimming pool area quite calming. Good for outdoor sit-out.

Photo of treadmill sums up the gym. That treadmill has not worked properly in 6 months despite complaints and requests to have it fixed. It's just shocking. I stay here every week and can't believe they cannot fix it or have it replaced. Time to find a new hotel.

Update: 1 week later and treadmill still out of order plus now there is a nightclub in the building across the way (see uploaded video). Front desk manager had no interest in the matter. After years of being a loyal Carlson member perhaps it time to find a new hotel chain.

Update: spoke to manager yesterday who assured treadmill would be dealt with. Still here, still out of order

Update: treadmill fixed and nightclub no longer an issue.

1. Room 531 didn’t unlock when entering for the first time. Funny thing, 10minutes later another guest was assigned the same room.
2. Room 537 has a faulty aircon. When “fixed” it apparently had only one setting - extra cold. When trying to adjust the temperature, it failed again and wasn’t cooling at all.
3. Pillows are terrible. They don’t have any other pillow options.
4. Breakfast is R165. Not too sure why. Just go next door to Tasha’s cafe. Staff here cares too.

Never staying here again.

Great hotel. Neat and spacious though in Sandton it's very peaceful away from the crowded malls. Close to the Gautrain Station, Sandton City mail and restaurants . Staff are very professional and courteous. Would definitely recommend to friends and family.

Great place. Loved the bed, shower and linen. The staff is so friendly. Great shuttle services as well every hour. Our stay was perfect and would suggest Park Inn to everyone. Well done for all the great work.

The room wqs clean and neat that's about it. Service was terrible, waited over 4 hours for a blanket pool was in a state and the parking is a pain.
Noisy and terrible wi-fi even the T.V. kept freezing. The gym floor reeked of cigarette smoke so be prepared to inhale secondary smoke before and after your workout - very disappointed . oh ya still waiting and teabags and milk to be replenished.

Clean and neat rooms. Not the best views, only street views. Breakfast.the best I've ever had. Alcohol price above average,leaning to the expensive side. No free parking have to pay for parking. Pay for parking at the hotel where you sleep. A BIG NO NO.

Wouldn't be back ever, even if free rooms provided.
Service is the worst, there is always some issue or the other, the room insulation sucks with cold draft from outside entering the room or when a neighbouring room shuts the door it's right in your ears. The fire alarm (false one) went off one night and was on whole night having a sound sleep impossible. Next day, the TV automatically turns on in the middle of a night with some message which btw also appears while you are watching TV and forcibly takes you to a different screen and have to then navigate back to what you were watching. This issue is over 2 days and they haven't been able to fix this. On an average you need to speak to the staff at least twice if you need a refill of water bottle. Am sure there are a few more I can list down but overall a miserable experience and wouldn't be back here at alla and definitely not recommended.

Good hotel - conveniently located in Sandton and nearby to various places in Johannesburg, including some good restaurants. Room was ok. Mostly travelled from here to various nature parks and museums showing the history of South Africa.

One of the greatest hotels around the Sandton area. Great conference facilities which well fitted out, great support staff. Refreshments during the 4 day training programme was always fresh & ready on time.

The place looks nice but it feels dated. The first room they gave us had a air-conditioning that was so noisy that it was impossible to sleep and since it was a corner room at the end of the hallway there was no wifi in the room. We had to open the door to the hallway before we could see the WiFi.
They moved us to another room and here the sink was leaking to the floor underneath. But the place was cheap and it was only 1 night.

Nicely designed. The rooms are pretty decent. Shower had no soap/shampoo when we were there (container's empty) and the mini-fridge wasn't stocked. The barman downstairs had never heard of an old fashioned which is a bit confusing. Aside from that, pretty average.

Oh, and the elevators are stupid. I know the system's for security, but it should at least say which floor the reception is on (FYI it's not floor 0). We kept going down into the basement floor by accident.
