They were undergoing remodeling when we were there. Our room was very nice. Staff had a herd time keeping food out for breakfast and not a lot a choice for breakfast.

We got a remodeled room and it was very nice. However, the remodeling of the hotel is very noisy. The free breakfast foods weren't great either, but at least it was something.

This hotel is in a great location to visit Samford University. The room was clean and staff were friendly. There is free parking. While there isn't a free breakfast there is free coffee in the room. Across the street is a wonderful shopping center and coffee shop called O'Henrys

As other reviews have pointed out, this hotel is under heavy renovations. The room we had was probably 80% completed, but the tub was a complete mess. But we were aware of the renovations and the "dust" didn't bother us.

The 2 frustrating parts were related to timing. We were given a ground floor room with a window a few feet away from where the construction workers were working and they started loudly doing their thing at 6 a.m. on a weekend day where we were going to sleep in. Not ideal. Then, at 11:00 the maid began pounding on the door and informed us we were past checkout time. The Wingate website clearly says 12:00. They need to get on the same page with their policies.

Those problems aside, it appeared that this hotel will probably be acceptable enough when the work is finished. If the price is right and you're not picky, it's probably just fine.

Very nice. Doing renovation but still nice with construction. Staff was helpful. The rooms were awesome and spacious. Internet works better than most hotels. Location is good close to downtown and also alot of shops really close to hotel.

We use them for all of our business bookings. Every time I call I always get a person and not a machine. They remember me each time- their hospitality is immaculate. The people we book always have good things to say. The price is fair and they always have space. Everyone should book here for an affordable and satisfactory stay.
