Welk in Escondido was great as usual. The rooms are comfortable and make you feel at home. We also took advantage of beer tasting with Erick and the escape room which were both a lot of fun. Uber drivers have no problem picking us up and taking us into town or to the nearby casinos. Overall, great experience and we will continue to go back.

Great overall place. Beautiful and tranquil environment. One of the on property restaurants food was pricey which I didn't mind but was lacking in taste. Outside of that staff all over have been amazingly kind. Food wouldn't stop me from visiting again.

We stayed in a beautiful two room suite. We came with our friends, and they were able to accommodate our wishes to be next to each other. We swam at the different pools each day. We loved the slides and the availability of pool towels. We also enjoyed swinging in the hammocks and playing at the playground. Our room was very new and nice. The kitchen was stocked with lots of silverware, dishes, and bakeware. We cooked multiple nights. We had a fabulous Thanksgiving Buffet at the resort restaurant. One night we were able to roast marshmallows at the campfire. We also took advantage of the craft room. All in all, it was an excellent stay. The staff was friendly and quick to help. We would definitely stay again.

Anne R. is amazingly patient, courteous, and thorough. I had so many questions re: my first-time experience making vacation reservations. Anne went above and beyond my expectations in helping me find a date, accommodations that were to my liking, emailing additional information, and even calling me back immediately when my call dropped. I felt so reassured and excited about my vacation plans. It also reinforced a healthy positive attitude about being a Welk Owner. Thank you, Anne.

We stayed her for our first time. We arrived on a Friday and left Sunday. The service was great. We got a discount on a round of golf for being member. The golf course is very well maintained and was really fun to play. The rooms are built around the course and all have great views.

Went to visit my brother at his timeshare and while it is far away it felt good to be no where near the hustle and bustle of the city. The views we're all great except in the room the moved us into mid stay. You could see the freeway from the living room area. The main pool while crowded was still fun. The whole family enjoyed it and the mini slide there. I would consider spending a week up there myself on my next vacation.

Staying in a two bedroom suite - the unit is nice. A full size kitchen, multiple TVs, decent view of the golf course with a large patio. The bed is especially comfortable for a rental/timeshare. The two bathrooms are spacious, one with a shower/tub combo, the other with a large shower. Have not had much use of the facilities yet other than one of the pools. Overall, the resort appears clean and well maintained.

Gorgeous location. Waking up every morning there was simply perfect. The foothills are beautiful and there seems to be an endless amount of fun to be had. Tons of pools, golf, good workout center, a number of organized outdoor activities, volleyball, basketball, etc.
If you're bored here, you need to re-assess your life. My biggest complaint was, having gone to San Diego for vacation, this resort was not anywhere near downtown it's both a blessing and a curse. With traffic, it usually took 45 minutes to an hour to get to downtown every day. Sometimes more.

This is a nice hideaway along the route to San Diego. We did a 3 day stay and enjoyed it. They have lots of amenities and if you have kids they will love it too. There are pools, gyms, golf, a theater, spa, indoor rock climbing and a escape room. There are numerous activities you can sign up for too. Some free, some paid. It's relatively close to many tourist attractions too. Disclaimer: We signed up to be owners 2 years ago and only just stayed here for the first time in 2017. Happy that we did!

Overall, this is a great place for a family getaway! Tons of activities, some excellent pools, golf, basketball and volleyball courts, ping pong, billiards, game rooms, lots of grills, a theatre, etc. Rooms were comfortable, great and well furnished, with nice balconies. One exception - I like firm beds, but still found the beds would benefit from a soft feather topper. I ate once at the Canyon Grille restaurant and it was pretty good food, and we had a great server. Still, I would have liked another dining option on the resort besides Pizza Hut and the deli/cafe Market. It's also a bit spread out, and although there are lots of trolleys, it can make coordination difficult if you stay with several other families. Advise trying to stay in the same building complex if possible to save time "commuting".

In love with this brand of hotels. Each one is uniquely different. This one is definitely the family friendly hotel. We took the kids fishing, created toys with 3D printer, used Virtual Reality, Shipped, ate well and visited San Diego which is about 30 minutes away.

Really nice location. Geared more towards the elderly. Very clean and lots of fun . Pricey but you do get what you pay for here. Since Disney has got involved this location has become much more popular.

Stood here an entire week in one of the cleanest and most relaxing hotels we have been at. Two bedroom villa with pots, pans, glasses, and utensils - check. Large two bedroom with almost the same set up as two bedroom - check. Friendly check-in and employees - check, check. Water pools, gym, entertainment - check, check, check! No real need to go off the premises except to buy groceries if you want to cook in the kitchens in your rooms. Love the Welk!

Great amenities in a beautiful setting between California mountains about 45 minutes north of San Diego. Resort surrounded by golf courses as well. A lot of activities for families and kids. Worth the trip! After spending some time at pool, the food service could be improved. Very slow at the Snack Bar, perhaps need separate bar as have to order drinks in the same line or have servers walking around the pool, would likely increase sales tremendously. Quality OK, though wife's BLT with single strip of bacon.

The resort was well kept, with friendly staff. Being that I'm not a timeshare owner, I had nothing to worry about as far as all that goes. The amenities are top notch, with an adults only pool and spa, an incredible gym, and soccer golf (whaaaaat) being some of my favorites. I didn't eat at the restaurants, but I assume if they're as high quality as the rest of the resort, they were top notch. Would recommend.
