Location was perfect for accessing most of the things we wanted to see. It was close to public transit, so getting everywhere was easy if it was outside of walking distance. A house car was also available for places less easy to get to. Rooms were spectacular. Clean and spacious with amazing washrooms. Beds were comfortable and it was nice to come back to turndown service at the end of a long day. The spa was also a real highlight with the pool, exercise facility, steam room, and sauna. The host of jack black products was a nice plus to pamper myself after a workout. Service was top notch. From servers in the restaurant or cafe at the hotel, to concierge, the doormen, or another employee encountered in the hall. All were polite and friendly. Can't wait for my next visit!

This hotel is truly wonderful. The customer service is unparalleled with every detail met with perfection. The atmosphere is upscale classic, yet comfortable and welcoming. Room service is quite good too. Access to the house car is quite convenient to be driven anywhere with a two mile radius.

    Highly recommend!

This past weekend was the third time that we have stayed at the Waldorf Astoria Chicago. Each and every time was a memorable experience for our family. The service and attention to detail that each staff member brings to the fore make this experience a real value. We were especially spoiled by Andrew who went above and beyond to turn a minor hiccup in our visit into a service recovery that will cause us to pause before considering any other hotel other than the Waldorf when staying in Chicago.

The happy hour can't be beat! $5 rose every day of the week from 4-6pm. Friendly staff and cute simple space.

Lovely space and amazingly helpful staff. Plus the patisserie attached is spectacular. One of the best eclairs in Chicago is on offer. I'm convinced they use some dark magic to fill it with pastry cream far beyond what conventional physics would allow.

Asked to see a specific room to ensure it was what I needed regarding space and decor The black puppet at the main desk was very nonchalant and would not let me see the room before 9am, even after I told him I was heading out of town then and wouldn't be back until when I actually needed the room (it was around 7am) His reason was they don't want to disturb guests It was just me, I didn't want to throw a party, I just wanted to take 2 minutes to see a empty room.

World class event venue for receptions. Great atmosphere in the city. Not a fan of the cost of parking in the city in general and deters me from enjoying what Chicago has to offer.

We arrived to check in for our one night staycation and the room was not ready. We waited for the room to be ready, and the staff was very nice, but it was not worth the wait. I was expecting a 5-star property and what I got was a dirty room, closed pool, and balcony overlooking a parking garage (the garage isn't the problem, it's the constant noise from the fan). We wanted to relax and hang out at the pool, didn't find out it was closed until check in. We got a room with a balcony to enjoy, didn't realize it would be dirty and across from a loud fan. Went to look out the window at the city, didn't expect to find oil smudges all over from previous guests pressing their hands and foreheads against the window. Last few things: dust everywhere, the walls were completely dinged up, dried food left in places, a banged up table, a coffee machine that pours 3.75oz of coffee in the largest cup.and that might be it. I hope the sheets were clean!

Nice courtyard. Cool bar. Comfortable super clean rooms. No tipping is a standard practice here which is refreshing and made our stay so much easier. They even went to Walgreens to get me a phone charger and gave us a late check-out. The hotel is understated elegance. If you are looking for a super wow or awe moment you might be disappointed.

If anyone is looking for a great deal on hotels you can check it out on HotelRaven. com Booked a room on there and they had the best rates around

Stayed here recently to celebrate an anniversary in Chicago and had a wonderful stay. The property itself is great but I was really impressed with the staff, who went the extra mile to make our visit special. Will be staying here again on future trips to Chicago.

I had a very quick stay at the Waldorf Astoria in Chicago so my review is not to extensive. The Pros: The staff. Hands down from the bellmen, to the night manager, to the restaurant they were all fantastic. Super friendly people and really made you feel welcome. I had both room service for dinner and breakfast in their current makeshift restaurant. Both meals were great and again the service was friendly and genuine. The internet was stable and the speed was good. The Cons: In my room (1804) I had no cell phone coverage at all. I am with AT&T. I have no idea what caused this but I have experienced this in other Chicago Hotels as well. It could just be AT&T or the older buildings. The bed was really soft and my back is always messed up from traveling. If you like a soft bed then your stoked. All and all I would stay at this hotel again. I also really need to compliment the hotel management on training their staff and the hiring selections they have made. You seem to have a great team.

    Wow! What a beautiful experience!
Went on July holiday weekend and we're treated like royalty. The suite was extremely spacious much bigger than the room photographs. The decor was stunning, a true class act. Living room, fireplace, all thought through, even the use of technology of tvs inside the mirrors was a perfect touch. But mostly, the service was supreme! Concierge ordered a car to drive us to Navy pier and the next day they arranged our tickets on the ferry tour. We also enjoyed the lovely spa and trendy pool on the rooftop! A+ hands down! An exquisite getaway!!! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I have stayed at the Waldorf Astoria (along with other five-star Chicago hotels) throughout 2016 and this hotel does not deserve five stars. Only two elevators - need three. Full elevators continuously. No restaurant at this time. Lines when checking in. Non-recognition at check-in of very frequent guests. Non-responsive housekeeping service which cannot be contacted directly on house phones and seem to react within the hour or sometimes two at best. House car is never offered. Very slow computers in business center. The majority of rooms I have stayed in have a strong mildew smell. I could go on but .,.,. Waldorf Astoria Chicago is saved by its location, spa and a small group of very special employees who are always working hard . Good luck to the Waldorf Astoria Chicago in 2017.
